  My apologies if I seem ignorant and things must be explained clearly to me, but I am a Mac user on a Macbook Pro for the first time. Have installed Vmware Fusion, and am also running Windows XP. Whenever I have try and upgrade to the latest version of VMware fusion, I get an error saying "connection to the update server has been lost. How to fix this problem please? Subsequently I can't write any DVD on my Mac. Very frustrating.

Their ip addresses remain the same, since they are managed by their local router but they failed to connect to other devices to their location even though the devices have static IP addresses. If I understand the use of the LMhosts file must allow me to allow them to keep local communications between computers. I think the entry in LMHOSTS should be like this for each local machine they need to access.
