Download of updates from Toshiba

When I try to download an update from Toshiba, such as a driver for my wireless Lan, it ends up in programs and features or disappears. Recently, I tried to download a driver released this year to replace the 2012, went through the procedure as indicated, but when I went to the Device Manager to check the old driver was still there so where I'm going wrong?

Latest version is available on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?

    Hello!

You should not install updates from Toshiba. For example, I install only the updates from Toshiba if it of necessary or I have a problem with the laptop but if everything works perfect why should I install an update?

Only updates, you should have Microsoft updates, because they fix security issues. It's pretty easy because you just start the Windows Update and then the updates will be downloaded and installed automatically.

I hope I could help you.

I followed the instructions of what looked like the official update from Toshiba to uninstall something I don't remember exactly what, but I was directed to the Panel, sysytems and something to do with video, etc, and now I have no sound. System says no audion output device is installed.

I must say from my experience, this time with a Toshiba Satellite is less satisfactory, always goes into hibernation and is difficult to restart, even after updating the BIOS suggested!

  • I have download 4 updates from Ms... now secure boot blocked out me of my computer with Windows 7 Pro

Tonight MS had 4 updates for my computer Windows 7 x 64... so I never thought, no big deal, will download and install as usual.

After that, I can't start my computer.  Something happened with secure startup.

    The message says:

System available on the firmware, operating system or driver uefi unauthorized changes.

    (N) press to run the next boot device, or "enter" directly to the configuration of the bios...

Go to the configuration of the bios > advanced > start and change the current boot device in another secure boot device.

Secure startup is enabled, and the key to the platform was something like State PK2 and loaded.

I had my computer for years and never had this problem... What do we have Ms to my computer the latest updates.  I'm screwed

and have all my medical records, legal documents, stuff personal and all my families, grandchildren pictures, etc...

I use a friends computer... my is dead and locked out.  Can I reset my key or something?   Even my back of the player will not work, and I made backups for years.  Another option, reset the bios with jumper?

    Hello

We wish to inform you that after you install the update 3133977 on a Windows 7 x 64 system which includes a main focus on the ASUS card, the system does not start, and it generates a Secure Boot error on the ASUS BIOS screen. This problem occurs because ASUS has helped the motherboard turn on the secure boot process, even if Windows 7 does not support this feature.

To resolve this issue, go to the following ASUS support site to find out how to disable Secure Boot for Windows 7:

Note the Secure Boot feature is supported in Windows 10. To learn more about the benefits of security of this feature, as well as on the way to upgrade Windows 7 to 10 of Windows, go to the following Windows site:

  • AOL restart my computer when I log off the coast. It started to happen after I downloaded 16 updates from Microsoft about 3 days ago.

When I connect to AOL my Windows XP automatically restarts. The strange thing is that this isn't it every time, but most of the time.

    Hi bill1106,

    1. not the problem only occurs when signing off the coast of AOL?

    2. you receive an error message?

    3. when all the updates is correctly installed on the computer?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.
