    Hello

    I am looking for replacement ssd drive for my Lenovo X61s. Initially, I decided it's going to be Intel X - 25 V 40 GB or 80 GB X 25 - M.

I found the following Intel with apparently the same settings on the SSD market. I have visited many sites, I searched and there is no explanation of the codes and how they differ. Maybe some of you has such a comparison.

    Intel X 25 - M 80 GB SSD 2.5 "SATA MLC (SSDSA2MJ080G2C1).

    Intel X 25 - M 80 GB SSD 2.5 "SATA MLC (SSDSA2MH080G2R5) BOX.

    Intel X 25-M 80 GB SSD SATA (SSDSA2MH080G2C1)

    Intel X 25 - M 80 GB SSD SATA2 2.5 "SSDSA2MH080G2K5 (909118).

    Intel SSD X 25-M 80 GB MLC SATA 2.5 inch (SSDSA2MH080G1C1)

    Intel SSD X 25-M 80 GB SATA2 ML C (SSDSA2MH080G1C5)

    Intel X 25 - M 80 GB SSD SATA2 2.5 "MLC (906102).

Prices are fundamentally different and it sort of the same X 25 - M 80 GB. I can't understand which is 7mm and 9.5 mm in height. I'll try to change a HARD drive in the laptop Lenovo X61s and don't know which suit you best.

    Your

MH is the original G2, MJ implements NAND for OEM cusomers level, no increase in performance. The R5 is the retail, includes desktop Board supports, the C1 are OEM (drive only). You should at the very most, 9.5 "high road (height of the standard Player 2.5").

  • Replace SSD HARD drive

I want to replace the HARD original (HITACHI) with a Crucial MX200 SSD drive in my mid 2010 White unibody MacBook but I'm confused because on the current HARD disk is write "Apple HDD Firmware" and I'm afraid of change because on my iMac (mid-2010), I just change HARD drive with a new and fans is going too fast.

MacBook are not concerned with issues of fan as some old iMac. Safely, you can replace the HDD with a SSD in a Macbook and have no problem fan.

  • Satellite U945-S4110 replacement SSD HARD drive

    Hello

Recently in my ultrabook, I replaced the drive HARD SSD TOSHIBA Q Series Pro 256 GB.

For the SSD to work and to be able to install the system, I had to remove the second disk, mSATA SSD 32 GB, because the system does not want to install.

Because I am a passionate fan, I want to ask for advice on how to force them to work the two discs. What are the steps, or what are the programs should be used.

Thanks in advance for your help and your patience

I guess you want to install the system using the reader of external CD/DVD or start from the key USB flash memory.
    Right?
In both cases, you must disable the option 'safe start' available in the BIOS.

In addition in the case of installation of Windows 7, you must pass the UEFI boot mode option to the CSM.
If you want to install Win 8, you can still use the UEFI mode.

  • Satellite U840W - replacement SSD with current hybrid HARD drive

I have this model U840W with a hybrid HARD drive (500 GB + 32 GB SSD cache), I would like to replace it with an mSATA SSD. My warranty is left about 2 months... I understand that if I open the bottom cover, the guarantee may be cancelled.

    Read the following thread:

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=68779

What I don't understand is the "live in the mid under foot rubber", what is the best way to remove it? This seems to be the real challenge. A directive (preferably with photos)?

    Thanks in adv!

    Hello

I wouldn't recommend allows you to replace the hybrid HARD drive on your own even if hand warranty isn't valid anymore.
    Why?
Because the after replacing a drive HARD or SSD, RAID and TSRI (quick start of Intel technology) mode will not be available.

To rebuild the factory RAID mode and allow the TSRI, special tools are needed and this can be done by the authorized Toshiba maintainer.

So even if you would be able to remove the bottom cover and hybrids of HARD drive, the new inserted SSD would not be able to achieve the best performance.

  • Replace merge with ssd drive, cannot be done?

My hard drive of my iMac 27 ", end 2012, is running out. It has a fusion of 1 TB drive.

I asked the service guy how much it would cost to replace the 1 TB with a 512 GB SSD drive.

He said that one cannot do. He claims that the only thing that can be installed is a 'disk original Apple', given that she is a fusion player, he has several sensors that a regular disk or an ssd, does not.

Is this true? I thought drive merger was only a software technology "pair" a small disc with an older hard drive ssd.

Of course, it is possible, but understand that the HARD drive in the computer has a special sensor used for the detection of the temperature and the fan control. In addition, what you ask is probably not an Apple authorized the change. A Fusion drive uses the features of Mac OS X CoreStorage to create the Fusion drive and manage. However, in itself a Fusion drive does not require any special equipment unless one you have used flash PCI-e instead of a real SSD memory.

If your computer is no longer under warranty and complete loss of any future Apple support doesn't bother you, then you can make the change yourself.

I understand that the original 640 GB hard drive has failed and you plan to install a SSD drive.

Here is a link to HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service of Guide. Please note Chapter 3, page 36, section 1, the recommended replacement disks.  You will notice the 160 GB SSD is recommended only if you have an Intel processor.

When I checked it Pavilion dv6-6135dx Entertainment Notebook PC specifications , you have an AMD processor.

Other drives may work, but as they are not tested, there is no guarantee that it would be.

  • have replaced my HARD original with an SSD drive, but now my laptop does not recognize HP support assistant?

    Dear Forum,

I replaced my original HARD with a SSD drive, but now HP support assistant recognizes my phone? The program runs but updates always fail and when I look at general specifications the serial number, product name, number of product, microprocessors, system memory, motherboard, bios system, drive hard (s), and optical drive (s) are all empty. Interestingly, it recognizes the device to display (s) as being mobile intel (R) HD graphics and current resolution of 1366 x 768 and refresh rate 60.

My laptop is an Australian model HP DV4 3029tx, which is an intel i5 14 "(2ème génération) with AMD graphics 6750" I replaced the original 640 GB hd with a 180 GB ocz vertex 2 using acronis to clone the drive.

I would be grateful is anyone know how to get hp support assistant to recognize my computer.

    Thank you very much

I think that cloning might be the question because the original configuration has been changed. Simple uninstall and reinstall again could possibly solve the problem as well...

My Pavilion dv7t3300 has two hard drives... A SATA 500 GB of data and an SSD 128 GB containing the operating system and other programs.   The SSD drive that contains the operating system failed.  When I install the replacement SSD, I intend to use the HP System recovery DVD (2) which came with the unit.  If I load the recovery disks will be erase/format all my data-files in the 500 GB drive.

    The new drive is "naked".

    Thank you for your help

    Tim

I just remove the second disk while making the recovery operation and slap it in when the process is complete. Better safe than sorry. Theoretically, the recovery disks will not affect the second drive, but it's really easy to be sure that they will not be 100%.

    Hello

My 64 GB is really small, because I have a lot of software to run on it.

    Could you tell me:
-What SSD drive adapts to this computer?
    -How do I change it?

I tried to get help from the Toshiba support but you don't even have an answer.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hey Buddy,

All disks are placed on the underside. This means that SSD and HDD can be exchanged if return you the laptop and remove the cover from the SSD/HDD which is fixed by two screws. If you remove these screws, you can exchange the SSD.

All SSD 2.5 are compatible. The laptop supports the SATA interface so there is no capacity limit and you can buy each SSD. Also there is no certain brand you have to buy because everything will work.
As far as I know OCZ and G.Skill make good SSD.  :)

  • Desktop HP ENVY Phoenix 860VX: how to replace ssd boot drive in a desktop HP ENVY Phoenix 860VX?

I bought a desktop computer HP ENVY Phoenix 860VX with an SSD of 256 GB of disk as a boot disk with a disk of 1 TB storage.  I have a Samsung Evo Pro 500 GB SSD I want to use as the startup disk.  I cloned the original drive to the Samsung Evo without problem.  I opened the PC folder to move hard disks, and I can't find the SSD drive.  I found the pretty easy storage of 1 TB drive but cannot find the SSD drive.  Can anyone help?

    Greetings,

You can have a PCIe M.2 (Non - SED) Solid State Drive 256Go.

This drive connects to the motherboard, it's the size of a stick of gum.

It can be mounted vertically or stand flat on the motherboard (MB).

M2 the drive is much faster than an SATA 3 SSD.  You may not be happy with this change if you bought a SATA 3 SSD. You might be better off going to a 512 GB m2 if the MB supports. I noticed that the m2 drive runs closer to the rated speed when using a k i7 - 5930 or an i7-5960 x due to the track of 40 PCIe bus as opposed to 28 tracks on the i7-5820 k.

It should be close to the PCIe slots. ASRock, Asus and Gigabyte locate M.2 slots here as it connects with the bus PCIe x 16 and uses the bandwidth of one of the 16 slots x.

If this is true, install the SATA SSD in the available Bay HHD using an adapter 2.5 inches. Then change the default boot device in the BIOS for the SATA SSD. You may need to experiment on what SATA port you use. EFI can be finicky. It is also possible that you may have to reinstall the original image. I have an Asrock x 99 card in m.2. Asrock BIOS is much more forgiving and configurable. I'm not familiar with MB of your PC or the boot configuration options available during the passage of a m2 boot device to a boot SATA device.

This change of equipment could also ruin to restore the PC using the original image. It depends on whether this change of equipment is a configurable option to purchase.

    See you soon!

  • Replace hard drive SSD in IdeaPad y510p

    Hi all

I've had the IdeaPad y510p for a while now. This is the model with dual graphics, 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB HDD + 24GB SSD combo. (If you need me to be more precise, let me know). The 5400 hard drive RPM was slow this machine and I recently bought a 512 GB SSDS.

Is this compatible with the laptop? Of my little knowledge of hard drives, I assumed it was and picked it up.

Also, how I go on my PC cloning so that everything can be copied on the SSD drive, including start-up and all files and recovery partitions.

And one last thing. Is the separate 24 GB SSD or the part the 1 TB HARD drive... in other words, can I keep the secondary, more small SSD in as well?

    Thanks in advance!

  • replacing hard drive for Pav P7-1240 & SSD

Part 1: I have a desktop computer Pavilion P7-1240. It is just 1.5 years... 1 TB Hitachi hard drive has not now.  I went out and bought a WD 1 TB Caviar Black internal Performance Desktop retail hard drive Kit (WD1003FZEX); go mainly for the guarantee of 5 years... the rest of the features seemed to match (3.5 ", 7200, 1 to, SATA 6) except the WD a 64 MB cache, the Hitach did not state on the player the amount of cache.  Will this swap drive out like for like or any other change in the drivers, etc. should be done?

Part 2: I would like to install a 128 GB SSD in the P7 as the main OS drive.  What changes should be made so that the system recognizes the additional disk.  I tried to plug into the SATA4 slot and the power cable, but the system did not not recognize/see the SSD drive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated for these two.   Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I return the drive and get a non-advanced HD format.  This way your recovery media, HP will work. If you do not create the external HP recovery media then contact HP support and order media.

In addition I send back the SSD and order 240 + GB model so that the support of HP recovery will allow a restoration works.  If you decide to go with this option, then keep the hard drive for now.  It may be "well-prepared" once you have Windows 7 running with the latest updates. At least BIOS settings have been tampered with then the SSD is probably dead.

While there may be other ways to get your PC up in the race without using the HP recovery media, this can and has led to confusion later when start HP function keys do not work properly.

  • Dv6-7202se replacement HARD drive

Hi, I want to buy a replacement for my DV6-7202se HARD drive. originally, I have a 1 TB running at 5400 RPM SATA HARD drive. I am running Windows 8.1.

My laptop is now out of its original 1 year warranty.

    (1) is it possible for me to go to a larger, faster HARD drive?

    (2) my laptop was purchased in the UNITED Arab Emirates. Where can I find the replacement HARD drive here?

    (3) my current HARD drive has a number of specific product? The official site of HP can't give me that and continues to throw messages 'no information found.

    (4) where will I get the recovery disks to reinstall the operating system on it? He came originally with Windows 8, I upgraded to 8.1.

    Thank you!

You can certainly get a faster drive, but I think that the biggest readers available now 1.5 TB laptop and they all work at 5400 RPM. Here is your Service Manual:

    Manual

One option you have is to install an accelerator reader WSSD/mSATA cache to speed up the slower drive. The problem on your model, it is very difficult to get to the slot of the WSSD. It is not in the Bay of accessible customer service.

To speed up the system even more, you can install an SSD expand instead of the ordinary reader, but the largest SSD drive is a 1 to.

Where you can get all this material in the UAE, I have no idea. I guess you can get things shipped from Europe, Asia and the United States

In regards to the operating system, unless it does not turn right you can clone (copy bit for little) the old drive and transfer the image to the new, or we can get you a link to download an image of disk for Windows 8, which can be installed on any hard drive. The License Code is embedded in the BIOS of your motherboard, so you just need to install it and Windows will activate automatically.

Post back if one of these options looks interesting and we can assist in its application.
