Download something off the Internet.

When I try to download something like ITUNES off of the internet, I have a problem.  After you save the downloaded file on my desktop and double click on the file, he asks me if I want to open or cancel.  After pushing open to complete the download process, a window opens asking me what program I want to open it with, lists the programs that I can not open this file with.  This happens with everything I try to download.  What I'm doing!

It comes with Vista, upgrade install and activate Forum.

How to make a lock off the internet so I can have another WiFi computer using the internet

you do not take the lock itself.

Instead, you configure another computer with security information to access the connection Wireless secure.

Unfortunately, we cannot help you with this, because we cannot tell if you are the owner of the wireless connection or someone trying to hack it via another computer.

However, what you can try is to contact technical support that provides your internet service.  they will be well to validate your identity and then provide help or more detailed instructions.

    3. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    4. you receive an error message?

It seems that there is a problem on the Web site that you are unable to download the game.

You can try with another Web site if available to download the game.

If you use Internet Explore to download the game, then I suggest that you reset the settings of the browser and try to download the game.

Important: Reset Internet explore its default configuration. This step will disable also any add-ons, plug-ins or toolbars that are installed. Although this solution is fast, it also means that, if you want to use one of these modules in the future, they must be reinstalled.

    I hope this helps!

There is background applications that automatically transfer and receive data when the computer is connected to the internet. Try if there is active apps running.

    1. click Alt + Ctrl + Del to go to start Task Manager / Applications and end unnecessary tasks.

    2. go in Control Panel / programs / uninstall a program and uninstall unwanted programs.

    Hello

-What security software is installed on your computer?

Please, try the following methods and check if you are able to download files.

    Method 1:

Try to download a file on SkyDrive (www.skydrive.live.com) for a test. If the file can be downloaded very well, you may need to contact support for sites to help.

    Method 2:

Step 1: Log in safe mode with network and try to download files.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

If you are able to download files from networking in safe mode, and then put the computer to boot and check.

Step 2: Put the computer to boot.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual. See step 7 in the article.

    Method 3:

    Optimization of Internet Explorer.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/Internet-Explorer/slow-five-tips-to-boost-performance

Note: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you have added to the list of Trusted Sites. Reset the Internet Explorer settings can also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the reset Internet Explorer settings

    Method 4:

Disable temporarily installed in your computer security software and check.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Let us know if that helps.

OK, so your last post, it seems the widgets are the cause of the problem. Let's see if we can understand why:

    • Have you tried to create a NEW Widget of emptiness of Composition and which fill with new content?
    • Have you tried a full download instead of only changed files?
    • Also can you check with domain host that send you to the right directory, and whether or not they have made changes to the ftp upload?
    • When you export the site in HTML format instead of FTP download and compare the files that are generated in the HTML folder, they are identical to those published via FTP?

If this does not help, it would be useful that you could provide us some screenshots of errors you are seeing, you use parameters of publication etc. (you can block-out user name and password for security reasons of course).

  • When I download something on the Web, the "Downloads" window opens, but that the window remains empty. Before it used to show at least the name of the file and I was able to open the file in the "Downloads" window Is it possible to recover this feature?

I am running Windows XP that is updated to the latest version (which I think could be Service Pack 3, but not positive.) Mozilla Firefox is version 5.0. I tend to use Google as my search engine, so most of the stuff I download comes through sites found through Google, which is also updated.

At some point in the past (there are maybe a few versions) when I want to download a file from the Internet, the "downloads" window opens and in the window would display the name of the file I got was download or came from download. I think I used to be able to then click on the file name and opens the file (or the Setup file if necessary to launch the new program). I am currently using Firefox 5.0 (screen "On Firefox" said that it is up to date) and when I download a file or document, the "Downloads" window appears on the screen as it has always in the past, but it remains empty, that is, nothing is displayed in the download area. I don't remember to make configuration changes, etc., that may have caused the window to remain a Virgin, but I could be wrong. I know how to find the items I downloaded (My Documents / downloads) and can generally guess what might be the name of the downloaded file, but it was much easier when something (anything) appeared in the downloads window.

I'd like someone to tell me about a simple solution for this. I'm ready to be pretty embarrassed that I did something I should not have.

In the Firefox Options / confidentiality be sure 'Remember download history"is checked. To see all the options on this Panel, "Firefox will be" must be set to "use the custom settings for history".

To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click on the icon my computer, choose Properties, this little window is info on your operating system.
