    Hi Pauli,

  • Updated Windows 8 stuck at 0 k, 0% downloaded

I tried various methods (bulk update, update both, selective update updates), but am not able to download and install windows updates. I also tried troubleshooting techniques using the tool and using the command prompt to stop and start services, but nothing helped.

There are a total of 60 important updates that are stuck in this State.

Because of this, I am not able to conduct an updated version 8.1 of Windows either, because it is not visible in my store. In fact, I am facing a similar problem with the store, in which updates are not going through and get stuck between the two.

Pointers to tackle this problem would be useful.

Let it run for a few hours. On my laptop that was also new, he remained at 0%, but it was actually to download updates. Many of them are updates frame lying around long. I had this problem on two different computers complete, I guess it's a windows problem.

  • Windows Store apps download / update apps stuck in State waiting

Original title: windows store 8 can be walked, but can not download applications

Everything is great, until you are in store for the app that you want to download, but as soon as you select an application and click on install, the installation screen appears with the activity report of the applications queued for installation (in the waiting/download) and that's it. I can't download a single app, not even a simple pacman after waiting for 20 minutes. most of the time that the status is stuck on "pending", when the application starts downloading, it just gets stuck after that a little Chuck is downloaded.

My internet connection is working perfectly, all pre-installed applications work fine, but I could not update or install applications.

I recently bought a new laptop from windows 8, not upgraded to windows 7 (read some discussions and answers where store does not open in this case.)
    Help, please.

I found this on another thread on the same topic. It's the same solution Pinaki is suggesting, but using the prompt instead of the graphical interface of Windows. It worked for me. Post here where everyone thinks that they are useful.

    1. Open an administrative command prompt (go to the start screen, type 'cmd', right-click on command prompt and press "Run as Administrator")
    2. Type the following commands to four in the command prompt:
    3. net stop wuauserv
      CD %SystemRoot%\System32
      Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
      net start wuauserv
    4. Try to install updates again.

  • Cannot download updates in Windows 7 on dial-up connection.

I need to use a computer * running is not Windows 7 * to download from Windows Update, paste them on removable media and install on Win7 box.

The question...  Last fall, I bought my mother a new machine with Windows 7.  It does not and is not interested, a connection high flow - it has remote access.

The last time I was visiting there, she mentioned that its Internet connection did not work.  Turns on it worked, but it was unusably slow.  It is in the process of downloading 165 MB of Windows updates.  According to my estimates, it would take about a day to download 165 MB more than 56 k modem... She is not willing to tie up his telephone line for so long.

Original title: download updates on a PC (no-Win7), install it on another?

A disable updates of Windows, so that he can stop tying up of its connection.  Of course, now he nags him with a warning of security because Windows Update is disabled...

I need to be able to download the updates appropriate removable media at work & then send him the CD & a few instructions (simple!) for their installation.

Otherwise, I need a way to tell Windows Update do not use bandwidth connection - use maybe 5 KB of its 56KO connection & leave the rest so the computer is not useless for a few weeks, then download updates.

Is this possible?  Or she'll just have to ignore security warnings?

  • Windows Update program very slow to download updates

I have windows vista Home premium installed on my PC.  Whenever I try to install updates by using the Windows Update program, updates take a long time to download.  Today (Sunday December 19 09 09:30-11:30 - Australia, Melbourne time) I tried to download 6 updates of 7.3 MB in size, and it's always full to 98 per cent.  It is not my internet connection, I can view web pages from the USA and the Australia quickly enough that I download updates.  In my view, that the problem is a problem of Microsoft server.  It is almost impossible (in addition to a lot of wasted time) to keep windows up-to-date with this ridiculous of download speeds.  I regularly have to quit smoking, and then try again.  Whenever I try to update my Windows operating system I experience these low download speeds.  I don't feel these issues with other web pages / other applications (for example SUN's Java) which updates can be very large!

Can anyone help fix this problem.

my PC connects to the internet through a wireless USB...

Ah! Long story, short version: find a fixed connection (DSL or cable) connection or a reliable & strong WiFi connection (for example, at the House of a friend, your school or public library), and then run Windows Update manually.

99% (AKA critical) Important security updates are released on the second Tuesday of each month (for example, Jan 12-10; 09 Feb-10; & ff) about 12 times noon Seattle (USA) (which would be the second Wednesday of each month in Melbourne). Do yourself a favor and make a mental note to use such alternative access & update manually on the second Wednesday or Thursday of each month you will be sure to keep your computer fully patched.

Long version: the popularity of connections 'WiFi' rises, we find that the more reports in addition to this problem in these forums and discussion groups. I suspect that these connections 'wifi' are either not strong enough or coherent enough to be used for purposes of automatic update. Assuming that Microsoft Update is your source of default update, [1] it can take 45 minutes or more for you to update manually. Automatic updates can take days to download/install updates, according to the request of the server.

In another answer, I will post some tips Vista SP2 installation for you.

PS: Your "wireless internet" connection might be good enough if the signal is strong enough (for example, 4 to 5 bars on your mobile phone). Then again, YMMV.

    =================
[1] "what are the differences between Windows updates and automatic updates from Microsoft Updates?

"While Windows Update provides updates specifically for Windows, Microsoft Update expands the service to download and install updates for other software from Microsoft, such as Microsoft Office and Windows Live. Update automatic is a feature that allows you to configure your PC to automatically download and install updates using each service, making it easy and convenient for you to keep your current Windows PC. »

    Hello klmorgan-Office [365].

Your question about the Microsoft community received a response from Canadian technology.
Title: updates - stuck Win 7

    Response
Fix tetraethyle3, but I would advise Windows Update service be stopped and a reboot occur in addition to the definition of never.
Many of us have worked on a better set of instructions.  I'll include it here. Feedback is more than welcome...
    August 18, 2016
Windows Update has become very problematic for users of Windows 7.  During the past year, we have worked to find a solution that works for you.  We found one that works very well for most.  We know that for some it works well for August 2016 until 2 September Tuesday, known as Patch Tuesday.
We hope to update for September.
We emphasize that, to do this, you must follow exactly as described.
There are two main types of installations of Windows 7: 32-bit or 64-bit.  You know what is installed on your computer.  Click on the globe start, type in the box system. Choose system information in the list.  The abbreviation for technology for 32-bit is x 86 and 64-bit x 64

    1. Start Windows Update, and change the setting for never to find updates. We recommend that you only keep this setting.  Then Windows Update will be automatic.  From there, you are responsible for departure and the installation of updates.  We recommend to you a few days after the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
    2. The process begins by ensuring that there is nothing running that will prevent the update to work correctly.  Click on the globe to start and type services in the text box.  Click Services in the list that appears.  In the window that appears then (its alphabetical), find Windows Update.  Right click on it (left click if your mouse is set for left-handed people), and then choose stop.
    3. Restart your computer.
    4. You will now download and install manually updates one or two.  In most cases, only the first (KB3172605) is required.  If that produces a result that indicates the update is not suitable for your computer, you must first install the 2nd day of these (KB3020369), and then install the first (KB3172605).  Choose one that is for your machine - 32-bit (X 86) or 64-bit (X 64).

    KB3172605:

    1. After rebooting your computer, wait for about 10 minutes until that Windows Update performs its tasks.  Do not use the computer for other purposes during this waiting period.
    2. Start Windows Update.  It will take that a few minutes to come up with a list and download updates you select.  The process is quite normal because it was always from that moment.

If your computer has not been updated for a long time, it may take longer.
