Downloaded data to guide Media Center ends at 26/12/2011

I have XP MCE with updates. My MC stopped downloading the guide data beyond 2011-12-26 a week ago. I tried to reconfigure the display to a different ZIP code, change my ISP access, etc, but nothing worked. When I download I get message 'Guide' downloaded successfully, but does not record data beyond 26/12/2011. I saw on another post in the United Kingdom they had problems to the United Kingdom. I'm in the United States. The same issue could occur with Zap2it?

Check if the guide is currently being updated. I've heard reports that he corrected himself.

Let us know.

  • Downloaded data to guide library stops at October 30, 2011

I have XP MCE with updates. My MC stopped downloading data from the guide beyond AM Oct. 30 a week ago. I tried various fixes as the reconfiguration of a different zip code, but the new data also stopped at 30 Oct. I guess it's a problem at my end and not a current limitation with Broadcasting Services of data files? What else can I try? Thought further - is it coincidence that the end of the list, I'm corresponds to the change of earlier British summer time GMT (did not notice problems previous years)?

It is not a problem on your side. This is a problem that affects, it seems, all users in the United Kingdom.

    It's covered in TGB: http://www.thegreenbutton.tv/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=786

A ticket was also raised on Microsoft Connect (the official place for questions guide report) and the best thing you can do is pile on and mark it was important and that you can reproduce the problem: https://connect.microsoft.com/site1145/feedback/details/696165/uk-guide-data-not-updating

  • I have windows 7 and have lost my media center where I can load the replacement software is there a place to download the windows 7 media center.

WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD A COPY OF WINDOWS 7 MEDIA CENTER FOR MY OPERATING SYSTEM WINDOWS 7?

You can't download unless you run Windows 7N.  Media Center is an essential component of all other editions of Windows 7.  But you can unload and then reload.

Unload 1 Media Center - Panel, programs and features, [left] turn turn Windows features on or off, characteristic of the media, Media Center clear box, Yes, OK, restart the PC.

2 reload Media Center - Control Panel, programs and features, [left] turn Windows features on or off, multimedia functions, the Media Center of the value checkbox, Yes, OK, restart the PC.

At the end of this, you will actually have a new installation of Media Center.

  • Download pirated Windows XP Media Center with the genuine key?

    Hi all

First of all, I apologize if the thread, I created is in the wrong place (Technet forums), but I got enough good help from technet on a Windows 7 problem, that I had. I've recently updated to the Genuine Windows XP Media Center to a genuine Windows 7 Professional.

I own a HP pavilion laptop came pre-loaded with XP MC (media center). Now, HP does not record with the laptop, instead, there is a recovery partition which can be transferred to DVD to create additional space on the HARD drive, I did. Unfortunately my DVD player no longer works, and I can not restore my XP to factory settings (new facility) because the HP restore software only reads from the DVD.

This XP has become bloated over time, and I want to do a new installation.

It is, I could download a pirated copy of the media center XP SP3 and use my real serial number and / or additional information to activate it?

    Thank you

No, because your key is specific to an HP facility.
Replace your DVD player or buy an external hard drive

  • Research Guide Media Center does not

Hey guys - I was wondering if you could help me to diagnose this.
The only thing I can think is, perhaps, that I don't have the correct services turned on?

I start Media Center, my guide is updated, and I look for something - Futurama, or whatever - and nothing appears in the search results. No matter what I type - I started with all the letters of the alphabet and nothing is displayed. Why is this? I tried to uninstall, reboot, install and reboot.

Well after a whileI in mind I turned off all indexing since I upgraded to an SSD. I fixxed the problem of research this morning. And I know thin old thread but this is the first thing that people find when researching the problem. This is how I fixed it.

  • Cannot download Windows 8 Windows media center

something was wrong error happens while you are trying to add also in windows 8

    Hello

Microsoft sells more than 8/8.1 Pro or Media Center.

"Pack Pro Windows 8 and 8.1 and Media Pack are no longer available for purchase"

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/3107057

As of October 30, 2015, Windows 8 and 8.1 Pro Pack (which has improved Windows 8 Home or home 8.1 to Windows 8 Pro or Pro 8.1, with Media Center) and Media Pack (which added Media Center for Windows 8 Pro or Pro 8.1) are no longer available for purchase from Microsoft. Previously purchased feature pack licenses will continue to operate, and packs of valid features may still be available for purchase from third party resellers. Support for these products is always available.

  • "No data available" Media Center Guide

4 February 20114 Hi, I'm in London, I have two machines Vista Home Premium and a Windows 7 computer. I use a tuner TV USB Hauppauge on each of them. Everything worked well until the middle of December 2013. After updating the Guide two Vista machines now show "No data available" for some of the channels including BBC1, ITV, channel 5 and many others. I can receive the channels but not see their guide ads. The EPG Hauppauge also works fine on Vista machines. The Windows 7 machine is not affected and displays complete information.

I see this fault happened in January 2013, and it was a result of Microsoft to not renew their contract with Red Bee. I visited Red Bee (they are close to me) but they don't know about this topic and say that they do not have a contract for the end user of Microsoft verification.

I have tried everything I can think of including Windows Vista Factory reload, change of postal code, change the transmitter and c and nothing seems to work. I lost days trying to find an answer to this, and he sends me nuts!.

Please someone knows how to fix this?

    Thank you

    GuyofLondon

How can I change the Media Center program guide download time?  My computer comes out of hibernation to download data at 12:15 and to sit down again it idling (for several hours) until she was put into hibernation or stop.  There is a utility that will change in time, but time is always changed back to the time of 12: 00.  I guess MC changes the time of return.  Thanks in advance.

  • Guide to Media Center TV - data not available

    Messages: 1

    This message was reported.

Win7 Media Center w/tuner works very well for several months. Starting 2 weeks ago I get "No. DATA AVAILABLE" for all channels on the guide. Without the guide, I use the interface provided with the tuner card (not good UI) to see the future registrations and registration of calendar events.

    * Live TV works fine
    * Having uninstalled and reinstalled tuner drivers
    * When I ask to update the info guide it is said "a download is already underway"
    * When I go through the SET UP TV in Media Center it hangs on 'download current guide info' (if I skip this step, it turns out, but give the message 'serious mistake'.)

In short - everything works well EXCEPT the download of the guide.

Sometimes, Windows Media Center would not be able to download Guide data. In general, this happens for the following reasons:

    (a) your computer is not connected to the Internet or there is a problem with your Internet settings.

    (b) If your computer connects to the Internet by using a dial-up connection, make sure that the connection is properly configured. For more information about setting up a dial-up connection for use in Windows Media Center, see solving problems with an Internet connection.

    (c) the Guide Server is not available or is temporarily out of service. If the Guide Setup was already complete, Windows Media Center will try to download it again daily.

    (d) the Guide service provider didn't Guide your location information.

  • Windows 7 Media Center very slow to load the program guide

I run a Fujitsu Esprimo E3521 Core 2 Duo 2.93GHz with 2 GB of Ram. I use a dual DVB - T2 tuner card black gold. The PC works as expected with all other tasks (Netflix, iPlayer, MyMovies for Media Center), but when I first load the program guide, it takes more than 30 seconds before the system displays the guide and becomes sensitive (later loading times are a little faster, unless the PC is in "standby", in which case I face the same deadline when you enter the program guide). There is no other applications running on the system (the PC directly in the MC boots). Once the guide is loaded, it works at normal speed (sometimes channel tuning may take longer than expected, but usually he settles in a few seconds).

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate. Recently, I reinstalled the operating system and for a few days the PC seems to be running OK, but he soon return to be incredibly slow, loading guide. (I also started to notice that it takes longer time to start playback of recorded assets).

Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    R

    (Moved to programs)

    Hi Richard,

Welcome to Microsoft Community forum.  Let me help you with your concern.

The information in the Guide is periodically downloaded from the Internet from your Guide list service provider. You are notified that "no data is available" in the Guide in the case either of the following things:

    • Windows Media Center cannot connect to the Internet and download the new Guide information for a long period of time, and the Guide information that was previously downloaded is corrupt or has expired. For more information, see solving problems with an Internet connection. (Applicable for Windows 7 alos article)
    • Guide information is not available for your location from the lists Guide service provider. For more information, see download updated Guide listings. (Applicable for Windows 7 alos article)

You can see this Microsoft article and check if it helps:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/is-is/Windows/use-guide-Media-Center#1TC=Windows-7

If the Guide appears blank and manually download the latest announcements of Guide doesn't seem to work, you may need to set up your TV signal again. To learn how, see set up a signal TV in Windows Media Center.

I hope this helps. If you need help with Windows, let us know and will be happy to help you.
