Downloading files with the docx extension fails in the APEX 3.1.0.00.32

Hello

In my application, if I try to download files with extension of 4 characters, IE for example .docx, download fails with this error message:

Not found

The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found.

If I download files with extension of 3 characters, everything works fine.

Is this a bug in APEX? Is that a way out of this error?

Thank you.

Because of limits on the size of the columns of the MIME type, DOCX and other MS Office XML file formats are not supported in APEX 3.1.

A patch for APEX version 3.2.1.00.12 is available on My Oracle Support under the bug number 9770959.

The problem is completely resolved in APEX 4.x.

Support for APEX 3.1 ended in February 2011. You should go to APEX 4.2 for ongoing support and enjoy many new features.

    Hello

    I'm not able to download files from my iPhone when the iPhone connects to the workspace to external. We have deployed nginx as reverse proxy in our DMZ which transmits requests internally will bridge.

    The download start (number of bytes transferred to the top), then the transfer ends with "error".

    I could not find errors in the log files, but maybe I didn't look in the right places

  • Problem downloading file with the specific file name

    I have built a graphical interface that allows the user to enter a (using IRite for editing) press release and have it upload to the server. It needs to be uploaded to the server using a specific name that the user selects from a drop down list. It is not working and I don't know why. Can someone take a look at my code and see if they can spot something? Thank you.

    assuming that, as in your original post, you use a component textarea with
    NAME = "commonality" for text entry, all you need is:

    If your drop-down list box file name contains only the part name and number
    extension (i.e. "mynews" instead of "mynews.cfm"), then add & ".cfm".
    After form.filename in the destination tag cffile above attribute.

  • How to play video files with the extension "rar".

    When I download video files with the extension 'rar', I can't play them with Windows Media Player or QuickTime.

    Could someone please advise what I can do to fix this problem?

    Thank you

    Rar is a compressed, identical to zip file. You must decompress, using an application like winzip or winrar, then according to what file type it is you should be able to play. If you cannot, you will find the codec that makes the Elf, install it, and then everything should be fine, but if you have problems, go back with the extension on the end of the file, as you have with the .rar and ask again.

  • How 'old' games, files with the extension *.gam

    How 'old' games, files with the extension *.gam?

    I am trying to find and run style old text adventure games.  I downloaded "ccr.gam" but it has nothing related to this extension and I can't find what I need.  HELP please.

    Octavmandru

    Depending on the platform, so that the game was up, there may be an available emulator that will allow you to run them. Looking for the name of the platform and "emulator" can give results. If they are DOS based games, DOSBox is an emulator like this.

  • Cannot open files with the EXTENSION of the PPT FILE

    I can't open a file with the following extension using PowerPoint ppt. The message below is what I get-

    The selected file is not a valid Microsoft PowerPoint file. It may be a file created by another program.

    Try by double-clicking the file in Windows Explorer to see if another program opens to it. If PowerPoint opens again when you double-click the file in Windows Explorer, it is possible that the file is not a PowerPoint file, but its extension has been renamed to be that of a PowerPoint file type registered (for example, .ppt, .pptx, .pps, .ppsx, .pptx, .pot or .potx) but the file is not a PowerPoint file.

    To determine which program can open the file, try one of the following:

    • Contact the original author (if known) to know what program you used to create this file. Then rename the file with the correct extension so that it can be opened by this program.
    • Try opening the file in other programs.
    • If you or someone you know, are very knowledgeable about software, review the file header in a text editor to determine which program can read the file.

    Another possibility is that the file has been damaged during transfer from another computer. Trying to transfer the file again.

    The file may be damaged. If you have a copy of the file backup, use it. It is not possible repair corrupted file.

  • File extension is missing when you download files from the web

    I just got a new PC with preinstalled Windows7. From day one, I have the problem that when I download files from the internet while you have no extension, so when I try to run them, told me that they do not have an associated program. I then rename and add the missing extension and all is well. But it's very annoying to have to do every time :(

    I come home from work and now everything works fine - even my webcam which worked yesterday either. Just shows how much it means to close and start fee in time ;)

    Seems that my problem has healed itself, but thanks for the help that was offered to me.

  • Download file with NodeJS extension CEP

    I try to get the download file with NodeJS working in my CEP for first Pro CC 2015 extension. I have the following script:

    var http = require('http');
    var fs = require('fs');
    var file = fs.createWriteStream("file.jpg");
    var request = http.get("http://i3.ytimg.com/vi/J---aiyznGQ/mqdefault.jpg", function(response) {
        response.pipe(file);
    });

    The script works perfectly fine if I run it on his own. For example, if I put in a file named test.jsand run test.js node in the terminal, it registers with success the image in the same directory that the script is in.

    When I include in my CEP extension, however, nothing happens. The script runs without error, but no file is downloaded anywhere. Even if I try:

    try {
         response.pipe(file);
         alert("File downloaded");
    } catch(e) {
         alert(e);
    }

    The "Download file" alert appears. If lack-of-download does not seem to come from an error in the code, but maybe how CEP works itself? I am at a loss. Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    For anyone interested, I came up with a solution.

    Instead of recording in the extension directory, you can save a file downloaded in the path of the project, using app.project.path. Here is my commented code:

    In hostscript.jsx

    function returnPath() {
         var projectPath = app.project.path;
         // split the path into an array
         var parsed = projectPath.split("/");
         // remove the last element (which is the name of the Premiere project file)
         parsed.pop();
         // rejoin the array, giving the parent directory of the Premiere project file
         var joined = parsed.join("/");
         return(joined);
    }

    In main.js

    function downloadAndImport(url, songName) {
         // call the evalScript we made in the jsx file
         csInterface.evalScript('returnPath()', function(result) {
              var https = require('https');
              var fs = require('fs');
              var mkdirp = require('mkdirp');
              // create a Downloads directory in the project path if it doesn't exist already
              var downloadDirectory = result + '/Downloads';
              mkdirp(downloadDirectory, function(err){
                   if (err) { // handle error }
              });
              var fullPath = downloadDirectory + "/" + songName;
              var file = fs.createWriteStream(fullPath);
              var request = https.get(url, function(response) {
                   response.pipe(file);
                   // ensure file is complete before importing
                   response.on('end', function() {
                        csInterface.evalScript("app.project.importFiles(['" + fullPath + "'])");
                   });
             });
         });
    }

    It works for my needs. I hope it helps someone else!

  • How can I open a .nrl in firefox extension, currently, it returns a text string instead of opening the file with the default program.

    When I click on a file .nrl extension (belongs to the autonomy I - manage your software) it returns a string of code (which is in the shortened link) instead of following the link and the return document. Is it possible to say Forefox connect to the document that the shortcut is linked to? The .nrl file extension belongs to a piece of software called FileSite (document management system).

    What type of content is displayed in "tools > Page Info > general" If you open a file of this type?

    • Press F10, or press the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily if the menu bar is hidden.

    As displayed above, simply configure the server to send this file with the MIME type supported for Firefox to open a dialogue rather than make the file.

  • How to use windows search to search the contents of a bunch of files with random names / extensions?

    How to use windows search to search the contents of a bunch of files with random names / extensions? Plain txt files say 1,000 with random name of file extensions?

    You can always search within those, but you need to add extensions to the file system so that it knows to look inside these files.  You said that you have a lot, so it's perhaps tedious.  Here's How to search within several types of files.

    One thing you could try is rather to make a copy of this file, rename all the files to the same extension (even an extension false for example something.bill) and perform your search on this band.  Just an idea.

    How to open a file with the extension .odg using Vista?

    Hi Defiant503,

    Thank you for visiting the forums of answers.microsoft.com.

    I did some research and a file ending with .odg is an OpenDocument Document OpenOffice/StarOffice (Ver 2) of graphics by Sun Microsystems, Inc.    This means that in order to open this file, you will need this program to open it.  You will not be able to open this file with Vista.

    I hope this information helps.

  • How to open a file with the extension. MIG?

    I'm trying to migrate data from one PC to another.  The files to be migrated are stored in a file with the extension. MIG.  What do I need to open it?

    Records may not have extensions... then you are probably referring to a file with an extension of MIG.  To open it, you will need to know what program is able to distribute files like that.  What program did you use to use to work with files like that?

  • How to open multiple files with the same extension in one program from the Explorer

    I frequently receive several JPG (or whatever extension) files to my clients.  On Windows XP, I could just highlight the files I want to open, and then click Open.  They would be so open to 1 program cascading.  This made it easy when comparing many images.  If I do the same thing in Windows 7, it opens the default program several times and puts 1 image of each open program.  It is Paint Shop Pro in my case.  Thus, instead of so-called images 5 open cascading in Paint Shop Pro... the computer open Paint Shop Pro 5 times with 1 image of each open version of the program.  I tried this search like crazy, but cannot find the right thread for an answer.  Most of the threads are on the opening of the different file types.  My question is only about the opening of multiple files with the same exact file inside 1 free program extension.

    Is this the same version of Paint Shop?

    One thing you might try is to open Paint Shop, then select and drag all the files in this window of the paint shop.  Various programs to manage this type of action differently from the DDE, but it might give you the expected results.
