• Zoo Tycoon... A Patch that I think needs

  I'm running 64-bit Windows 7 Pro and the Zoo Tycoon Microsoft game runs do not at all (necessary for reporting system memory and no light at all... on my system memory 12 GB!).  The approach apparently recommended to limit 2 GB system to avoid this problem of Zoo Tycoon software (via the setting of maximum menory to 2GBs SysConfig) is NOT really acceptable.  Shame on MS if it is not fixed.

  It is not a patch apparently for Zoo tycoon 2 so far to solve the problem of memory.

  So far, this is the only one available for the game patch.

  Have you tried affecting memory larger quantity, say for example 4096 or so?

  I looked at the literature available online to resolve the error message "insufficient system memory". I rund the dxdiag and I have 8 GB of memory, and the system requirements are displayed as "256MB".  I'm trying to understand the best next step.  Recommendations

  1. click on start and type system in the box Search and then click System in the programs list.

  2. click on Advanced system settings.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

  3. on the Advanced tab, click settings under performance.

  4. on the Advanced tab, click change under virtual memory.

  5. Click to uncheck the box automatically manage the size of pagefile for all readers .

  6. under drive [Volume label], click the drive that contains the swap file that you want to change.

  7. click on System managed sizeand then click set.

  8. click OK twice.

  9. in the System Properties dialog box, click OK.

  10. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart now.

• Unable to play Zoo Tycoon 2: "the color scheme for has been changed to basic windows.

  I know that this has been answered before, but the answers were not useful or difficult to follow. I have Windows 7 and that's all I know not on my laptop. I am the admin of it so I have access to administration options if I have to.

  OK, so this is the usual scenario you install - very well no problem - you click play and it comes up with this, black to hot flashes and then it does not load the game.

  Things I've tried:

  -Uninstalling and reinstalling

  -Restart the computer after installation

  -Make sure my computer is compatible with the game (typed in "system requirements lab and went to this website: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ ")

  -Clicking on it a lot of time by pure frustration

  -Try to follow the instructions. I did: start > personalization > display > change display settings > avancΘs > Troubleshoot > nothing. The button on that I'm supposed to click is gray.

  You don't download a Compatibility Mode...

  Uninstall Zoo Tycoon 2...

  Then place the Zoo Tycoon DVD in the drive and if she tries to autorun, cancel it.

• Zoo Tycoon 2 - cannot run

  My daughter has Zoo Tycoon 2 Ultimate Collection. It runs on a 32-bit computer Win 7 with 3 GB of RAM. It worked very well for a long time.   I bought my grandson the game PC Zoo Tycoon 2: extinct animals Expansion Pack and didn't see the message of "Zoo Tycoon 2 to play the calls."  No problem; so I buy the game Zoo Tycoon.  My problem is: I can't find a Zoo Tycoon 2 game that supports Vista.  It is still available, and if not, can you download something that drives?  Surely they wouldn't do a Vista sustainable game which requires a game you can't play.  I can't found.

  Thanks for posting in the Microsoft answers Forum.  As long as your version of Vista is 32-bit, you should be able to run Zoo Tycoon 2.  There have been some problems reported with computers have 4 GB of RAM as well.  Once you install the game there is a update available on the site Web of Microsoft Game, you may want to consider to download and install.  Here is the link:

  Ive just installed Windows 7 32 bit on my laptop of son.

  Zoo Tycoon 2, the collection of zookeepers installs OK but does not work. If I insert disc, the screen comes back, but when I hit play nothing happens and zoo tycoon disappears from the Task Manager.

  Method 1.
  Let us all first download and install the patch for this game and then try to play and check if it works.

  If you are unable to play the game or to install the patch perform the steps below.

  a. Click Start and type msconfig in the search bar and press ENTER.
  b. Select start.
  c. go to the advanced options.
  d. place a check on the maximum memory check and to increase maximum.
  e. click on ok and apply and ok.

  Method 3.
  Try to play the game in the State of clean boot and check if it works.

  Hello, I bought 2 zookepper edition 1 yyear zoo tycoon there it worked perfectley on my vista but now it works on my windows 7.  It installs fine and when I click on play nothing happens what I do

  you get an error? a common error is the error of RAM. In the affirmative.

  2. click on run...
  3 type "msconfig" and press ENTER.

  I was able to overcome this problem by following these steps for Windows 7. First, go to the control panel and uninstall all the programs related to Zoo Tycoon. Then, type "regedit" in the search box after clicking on the button 'start '. You can search "zoo" and delete the entries that correspond to the "CLEAR" Zoo Tycoon, nothing else. Then go to the computer, then the drive Local (c), then Program Files (x 86), then the information of InstallShield. A list of folders will fill. Look at the dates and try to determine where you originally installed Zoo Tycoon 2 and delete these folders. So try and re - install Zoo Tycoon 2 and it should install correctly. Apparently, the developer, Blue Fang Games, neglected aspects of the use of InstallShield and program still considers that it is installed by looking at the InstallShield folder that was created when you initially installed the game!   I just installed a fresh copy of Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection on my laptop with windows 7 and can not enforce. Whenever I try to start the program (after waiting a few minutes) it comes up with the message-
