  Personally, I would install just without turning off. Worst thing that will l be happen you will need to disable a. Does not mean that you must uninstall just disable and when you need it, just disable one of the other and activate the current.   Actually, I disagree with respect.  Photoshop makes good use of a large multi-core system.

  I use a desktop PC top of range 12 core for more than a year.  Hyperthreading gives me 24 logical processors.
