Dreamweaver CS3 Javascript and Wordpress

Hello

I created an html document / image with multiple access points, rollover image swaps in Dreamweaver.
The doc works in most browsers using the paths of files/file on my local computer.

I'm looking to paste the html code into a Wordpress page.

WP theme that I use allows Javascript to be pasted in the header or the footer.

WP theme developers have informed me that it will work.

However - I can't seem to find the Javascript code in the html document, that I created. There is no .js file in the folder where the html doc was created.
If anyone can help?

  • I can't find the option connQuery to the defined folder, Dreamweaver CS3

    Hello

I read the book of David Powers "The Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3 Ajax and PHP" and I'm having a lot of problems with Chapter 14. The simplest State is that in chapter 14 of the book it says to select the option 'connQuery' when a recordset is created, but the only options are databases that I have. It's very frustrating. I hope that David could read this post, but if anyone knows why this option isn't there in Dreamweaver when you create a Recordset object in CS3.

  • CF8 & amp; Dreamweaver CS3 does not connect

I have Dreamweaver CS3 installed and works well for the maintenance of the website on the client side. Earlier trying to get CF8 developer edition installed with the built-in Server works. Using CF tutorial as a demo for the process of setting up a DB connection in DW. The tutorial has been prepared for CF7 and CF7MX. His instructions to make DB connection see the format of the CF7 or CF7MX administrator and not that of CF8.

The result is that I can't know if DW extensions, that he ordered the installation are already in DWCS3 or if they must be installed. So far I have found no article CF8 that deal with the implementation of DB connections in DWCS3.

I don't know that there is nothing wrong with each product. It's just me as a newbie who does not quite know what to do next. I ordered the book of Ben Forta (recommended to me in a previous post), but it has not yet arrived.

Can anyone point the way out of this maze? Help will be very appreciated!

It is not specifically for the implementation of a database connection:

Do you see anything in the Application > Panel databases?

    Ken,

I downloaded the update of DWCS3 and installed. Clicking Windows/databases inside the DWCS3 has resulted in giving me a + / set of buttons of the Applicaton/databases tab. These buttons were not there before. Their use, I was able to open my test database.

That seems to have done the trick. What a pity that Adobe had no tutorials that matched CF8 interfacing with DWCS3. I lost a lot of time before you go to the forum to help you, that you have provided.

Thank you very much! I hope I'm back being productive again. I appreciate your support!

  • Dreamweaver CS3 and Microsoft Access

I'm currently building a website using Actinic v9 CMS and Dreamweaver CS3 for a project. I posted the same topic on Actinic forums.

Actinic has a built-in connection system and it uses a Microsoft Access database (I think that the version 2000). What I'm trying to do in Dreamweaver CS3, is to create a secure registration function. Basically how it works is as follows:

A php script runs and passes on the information on the form to be temporarily stored in a MySQL database. A javascript written a password generated randomly to be read by php - php send an email with the attached code and user name - also temporarily stored in MySQL.

When the user enters a hyperlink in the email, they will fill in their user name and the password - password is then recovered by an another php for the MySQL database by finding the correct username. A Javascript will see if both match and answer 'true' or 'false' for the php script. If this is true, php will retrieve all user data from the MySQL server and put it in Microsoft Access database of Actinic. If it's false, php will write the code is incorrect and ask the user to retype the fields. After five attempts, php will wipe away the registration of the user of the MySQL database and will have to re-register.

What I need to know, it's can handle MS Access databases and how Dreamweaver CS3 can help me with this? I have already learned how to manage MySQL in php, it's that I never used Access to the web databases before. Until I started with Actinic, I don't think you could.

My field is with UK2.net whislt, accommodation is in host - It.co.uk

    Thank you.

  • the files .php and WordPress Blog in Dreamweaver

If my BLOG was static, I could go in and edit the CSS, classes, etc.. With my WordPress BLOG, I'm up in the dark in terms of having useful DW in the edition of the BLOG.

When I put them to the top of my blog, I only get an index.htm page of course. What, then, is the page I'm looking at? What would be its name in all my documents Word Press? I'd like someone to point me in the right direction on this. I can go on my blog published in a browser, and then do "view source" that copy the source code into a blank document in dreamweaver and it is editable. That's great. But if I were to 'save' this page, what on earth I would talk to go up towards the server and overwrite the settings of my elders with the newly published page?

If you want to learn more about PHP, follow the tutorial on www.php.net, or
grab a good book--preferably one of my friends. ;-)

If your interest in PHP is simply to learn how to customize WordPress,
you're in for a long and arduous struggle. WordPress is composed of hundreds
files that present a daunting prospect for even an experienced PHP
    Developer.

I have integrated a WordPress blog on my site a long time ago so I
most of the details forgotten. However, the actual pages that appear on
your site are generated by files in a subfolder of wp-content/themes.
The name of the subfolder is usually the name of the theme that you have
selected in your WordPress administration area. The elements of the page are made
    place of index.php, header.php, page.php, sidebar.php and footer.php.
Still, unless you really know what you're doing, they better leave it alone.

    > Specifically, I want to use
    > Dreamweaver as a tool of rapid to see and edit my BLOG, Wordpress files.

Mission almost impossible. Editing files in WordPress is to work
Code reviews, such as WordPress uses a modular structure, where each part of the
page is generated on the fly by custom functions. The most convenient way
for a non-programmer to work with WordPress is saving a page from one
live site and edit the style sheet. If you use the default theme,
the style sheet is wp-content/themes/default/style.css. Once you have
fine-tuned to your needs, simply download the new stylesheet to your remote
    Server.

  • Dreamweaver CS3 and Windows 10

I worked with Dreamweaver CS3 for several years.  I recently updated from a computer running Windows Vista on a computer running Windows 10.  I don't want to buy the latest version of Dreamweaver, because it's so different from what I am used to that I have to learn from scratch... Is it possible to use Dreamweaver CS3 with Windows 10?  Are there other options?

Is it possible to use Dreamweaver CS3 with Windows 10?

CS3 is a legacy software is longer supported & never certified to work on 10 to win.

That said, some people run it successfully while others have had problems.

You clean reinstall CS3 after update to Win 10?

Have you tried running it in Compatibility Mode?

Dreamweaver CS3 on Windows 10 support (was: 10 Windows)

    Are there other options?

    Sure.

  • Dreamweaver CS3 uninstall on MAC computer can install and activate on Windows PC

    Dear Sir or Madam,

I bought and installed Dreamweaver CS3 on my Mac since 2008.

I am now using a Windows computer and I would like to:

    (1) uninstall Dreamweaver CS3 on my old MAC computer

    (2) install them, and then enable Dreamweaver CS3 on my new computer Windows

Could you please help me how to go about that?

    Thank you for your help,

    Zied Smiri

You can not. Serial numbers are platform specific and platform swaps are available only for the current version which is CS6. CS3 is also too old to qualify for an upgrade so that your only options are buy CS6 or subscribe to the creative Cloud of Dreamweaver version.

  • IE8, mobile adapted, CC of Dreamweaver and Wordpress (Starkers theme)

    Hello world

I spent the last few days trying to figure out why my reactive site shows the mobile version in IE8. I checked my code against the forum of other messages similar to mine. I saw Nancy O. also post her example http://alt-web.com/FluidGrid/Fluid1.html and compared it to my code. I don't see anything extraordinary. I am aware that IE8 does not play well with HTML5 and CSS3 so it does not include questions from the media. I'm okay with that.

Dreamweaver CM³ also inlcudes respond.min.js (although I read in the adobe forums that this file is useless for IE8) as well as:

    <!-[if lt IE 9] >

    "< script src="//html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js "> < / script >

    <! [endif]-->

I did various searches such as:

    https://www.google.com/search?q=dreamweaver+responsive+design+not+working+in+IE8 & oq = dreamw Alassane + sensible + design + not + work + in + IE8 & aqs = chrome... 69i57.8499j0j4 & sourceid = chrome & espv = 210 & es_sm = 91 & ie = UTF - 8

I also found http://davekiss.com/IE8-respond-js-and-WordPress/ and thought it might help me, but he didn't. I'm out of ideas where to look for a solution.

I'll send someone over in detail if necessary, because I don't think it's a good idea for me to post it on the forum due to the client's site is a not yet launch. I can even e-mail my css / html /php files. Please email me at fernandolawl (at) gmail

    Here are the screenshots.

Yes Nancy. On a brighter note... I solved the problem by switching the placement of the CSS for the last first to the mobile. So now it shows style Office firstly what IE8 readings and last mobile style. I change the media query to match properly so.

Thanks much for the reply. I really appreciate it

My hard drive crashed and I need to re - install Dreamweaver CS3. I have my license, but I can't find a copy of the software. I found some comments that Adobe makes available for download. I want to continue to use this version.  Anyone has any ideas on where I can find a copy of Dreamweaver CS3?

If you follow the 7 steps you can dl a free trial here: http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html

and activate it with your serial number.

If you have a problem dl'g, you don't follow all 7 steps.  the most common mistake is not meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).

I use Dreamweaver CS3 on Vista 64 and Windows 7 Pro for about 2 months now.

You don't need no prior knowledge of PHP or Ajax, but you must
know the basics of HTML and CSS. As I say in the introduction, "You."
don't need to be an expert, but do not have a curious mind.
It teaches the basics of web site design, or he's trying to list
each unique feature in Dreamweaver CS3. There are many other books
to fill this gap. However, by working through this book, you will gain a
in-depth knowledge of the most important features of Dreamweaver.

The book provides detailed coverage of the features of Spry 1.4
Dreamweaver CS3, which can be applied to any site. With minor
adjustment, you can also use Spry 1.6. It is important to realize,
However, the features of Spry/Ajax in Dreamweaver CS3 * cover of no
asynchronous requests to the server. The ability to communicate
asynchronously with the server has been added in Spry 1.6. If it has
the asynchronous server calls and answers you are looking for, your
programmer will need to dig into the documentation for Spry 1.6 on the
Adobe Labs site and manually code it.

The Spry features covered in the book are Spry, Spry UI widgets effects
(menu accordion, tabbed and folding panels), Spry
Widgets of validation and Spry XML data sets.

Yes. All Spry techniques can be used on any web page. This is not
you have to be a PHP one.
