• Strange keyboard problem - Portege A100

  I have a Portege A100 some three years now.
  There is a problem with the keyboard, only the keys 5tgb - a diagonal line.
  As soon as the PC is often placed on these keys don't work at all. After a while, if I press hard, especially if I turn on caps lock shift, the key to start work and then more or less work. Sometimes turning the PC and trie still the problem using shift often makes it worse. Sometimes the keys work, but only with a delay. No other keys are affected.
  I am confused as to if it's a hardware problem (are these keys connected even if a single connector?) or a strange software problem, perhaps related to the traditional Chinese microsoft input method editor that I recently downloaded.

  Any help or advice would be welcome.

  The keys are connected on the map as the rest of the keyboard keys.
  There are not connected separately. To me, it looks like a hardware would be malfunctions.
  Why? Well, it's not easy to say. Sometimes loses keyboard cable affects the use of the keyboard. But maybe the entire keyboard needs to be replaced.

  We must consider this possibility I think you should contact the ASP in your country. If the warranty is valid replacement should be done for free.

  I can only imagine that HDD produces so much heat. In fact, it is placed in the Middle, under the touchpad, but I still think it's the HARD drive.

• strange charging problem

  I have a laptop DV7-3065DX that I got last Christmas and he has recently developed a strange charging problem.  The other day and all of a sudden that it stopped charging, so I left FS2004 and within 5 to 10 minutes, I was playing FS2004, it began to charge again.  I think it may be an overheating problem.  It is not a problem of power adapter, I tried to use my mother G60 adapter and still had the same problem during execution of FS2004.

  The problem has become so bad that it would not load when activated, I called HP and I sent it back to get fixed.  I came home today, and it works fine now.  They have repaired or replaced my mobo, the thermal pad, battery and ac adapter.  I paid only for shipping to the France and I am happy to use again.

• Strange mouse problem

  I have a new laptop HP 8440 and I'm having a very strange mouse problem.  The point of the mouse on the screen from time to time will crawl slowly towards the top of the screen.  This occurs when you use the Touchpad mouse or when you use a USB optical mouse.  The mouse buttons remain active and navigation mouse continues to function (so I can pull the mouse down of his craawl), but he continued to creep upward.

  This does not happen all the time and 'fixed' after 5 minutes of me being frustrated.  I don't think this is driver-related, but my mouse driver is 5.1.2600.0

• Activation of Dreamweaver MX 2004 problem

  I have not found all the other posts with exactly the same problem, so I really hope that someone can help you.

  After the use of Dreamweaver MX 2004 for 8 years and more on a single PC, I'm installing it on a newer PC (running Windows XP Professional SP2).  In the activation window, he accepts my serial No. and displays the green check mark, but when I click on continue, it says that it cannot connect to the internet - even if everything else on the computer (browser, e-mail, etc.) can access the internet fine.  My AVG Firewall automatically added Dreamweaver with access to the internet, but just to be safe, I've disabled the firewall and tried again.  Same error message - enabling cannot connect to the internet.

  When I try the option "activate by phone", 2 phone numbers it displays are both incorrect.

  I've not chosen "transfer license" on the old computer again - I dare not do it until I can be sure that ONE of the computers can be activated.  However, what I've read, this isn't the problem - it gives a different error message for this, not an error message internet connection.

  I tried Adobe online chat, which sent me to "support for the Adobe 800-833-6687 voice Support and Customer Service".  They told me that my only option was to post on the forum and someone would be able to help me.  This seems very strange and another post on the forum that seemed similar doesn't seem to get a lot of help, but I don't know what else to do, so here I am.

  What should I do to get this active?

• Point of Insertion strange text problem

  I'm having a strange problem with DreamWeaver CS3, where the text insertion point is to the left of the where it should be. This makes editing the text a real problem. I am running a MacBook Pro with all the updates and when using the model of 'Entertainment' built into the product. What I find is that the text on the left side of the line is correctly in line with the insertion point, but as I move to the right the problem presents itself and gets worse and worse. It's also a harder just to learn to go to the left side of the text, as often, I'll be a character in both directions.
  
  For example, the cursor must be on the right end of the line (after AV), but the cursor is approx. 1.5 letters to the left of the where it should be:

• Strange intermittent problem with macbook pro

  Hey there ppl.

  So, I have a Macbook Pro (15-inch, mid-2014, retina), processor i7 2.2 GHz, 16 GB of memory. Running OS X El Capitan.

  My problem is a strange, because it is only intermittently. ID say like 10-15% of the time. But its very frustrating and annoying when it does and because I am working on my computer (poker), it's also costing me. in any case, the problem usually occurs after I've been using the computer for 1, 5-3 hours or more. Usually ill be playing poker online, listen to spotify and use of the internet for stuff randomly. Everything will be fine and then suddenly ill notice that my mouse cursor will be suddenly shot through the screen occasionally. as ill be goes well with the cursor but it'll jump to the left, a couple of inches or more. Also bad note that some of my habit of 'clicks' record, so ill use the calculator for example and badly want to press 543 and maybe 5 records, but when I go to click on the 4 it does not work, and ill have to like wait a second, then click New to register the click.

  Also, if im typing something, as in poker, I have sometimes to take note of the way in which an opponent has played a helping hand or whatever, a letter or a space press custom register, so ill be typing a phrase and the space bar is and I'll have to press the key once the couple , then a letter will not register, etc.. Sound very disorienting and made it difficult to continue the task IM because it does not smoothly because of the LAG, unregistered, mouse jumping, etc.

  IM really not sure of what the root of the problem and what it is. Ive has run the malware anti-malware bytes, but that has not solved the problem. Usually when that happens ill try to restart the computer, or stop and return back but generally the problem persists. Then, after some time, maybe 20 to 45 minutes or so, when I try to use the computer it works normally with any of these problems.

  Thanks for letting us know about the problem you are having with your cursor jumps erratically on the screen of your MacBook Pro.  The resources below provides some initial troubleshooting steps, you can try at this address.  I suppose that you work with the trackpad on your MacBook Pro.  In addition to the steps suggested below, try to connect a wired mouse to your computer to exclude Wireless interference.

• Need help with a strange crash problem

  Hi guys,.

  I use Firefox on Windows 7 32 bit 14.0.1. The problem is that every few minutes my browser crashes. The memory usage appears on the rise and until you reach a point where it causes Firefox to crash.

  In safe mode, the problem occurs. So, naturally I tried disabling all my Add-ons to reactivate them one by one and try to find the offending module. This is where it gets strange.

  After I disabled all my modules and even all the plugins, the problem was still persistent. If Firefox works in mode safe, but out of safe mode with all my Add - ons disabled the problem persists.

  If at this point I don't really know what to do. I guess that safe mode is something I haven't thought to do, but I don't know what. The problem any help will be much appreciated.

  OK, yes the problem is caused by hardware acceleration. My browser works well now that it is disabled. Apparently, this has something to do with the latest AMD video drivers:

  I've recently updated to the latest drivers and now I get this problem. I figured it was something to do with it. Apparently, these problems have occurred since 12 FF. This should really be sorted.

  I'll just use FF without hardware acceleration for the moment, but I hope that we see a fix for this in the next version. Or if it's actually a problem with the AMD drivers, if all goes well they will get into it. Anyway, it needs a fix.

• Strange sound problem with Satellite L740 TV outputs

  I'm having a strange problem here... I googled this several times already, and I only found the same solution mentioned several times and the given solution * not * work is to me.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite L740 running Windows 7 Home Edition Premium, with a 64-bit Intel Core i5 - 2410M @ 2.30 GHz CPU and 4 GB of physical RAM. My problem is the following...

  There are two different TVs in my house that I regularly connect my laptop via HDMI cable.
  The first is mine, and I can get sound through the TV very well when I plug it in.

  Sometimes, however, I will disconnect the computer from my TV and not get any sound through the laptop because he's trying to output to external speakers to TV.

  More importantly, when I connect my laptop to my * roommate * TV (the same make as mine, you mind), I can not all the sounds of his TV at all.

  This is a recent problem. Until this morning, I was able to get noise from two TV very well and only sometimes had problems with sound through the laptop itself, which has been easily resolved by restarting.

  It's just a hunch, but it's almost like * doesn't realize that there are two different TVs * that it is connected to my computer. Maybe it's stupid, I don't know, but be it, it's frustrating...

  * ALSO: * I've seen dozens of suggestions that I put my HDMI audio as default device. Yes, I did. It wasn't the issue. Is the same to activate my audio drivers in Device Manager. They are all turned on, so it's not that either. Any ideas?

  It's a bit strange if you connect the laptop to two identical televisions and use the same HDMI cable to the TV.

  Unfortunately, it all works automatically and I put t know if you can force your laptop to recognize two TVs on the same path.

  In the worst case you have to do it manually in the sound properties > playback devices.
  If it works with four mouse clicks you can change.

  I tested my laptop with two different TVs.
  At home, I have a Toshiba TV and at the office we use Sony. On both automatically get sound on the TV speakers.

  If you will be able to find the solution please let us know.

• Strange sound problem 1800-314

  A strange sort of wheezing sound is coming from the fan area, I suspect it's something to do with the processor.
  I recently set up a new fan (from the model 1800-914) which improved playback of DVD (no longer ignore), but the overall performance of the laptop are slow at times, especially when its been over 2 hours.
  What, if any, upgrades processor/replacements are available to me?
  How would I ask a new processor?

  Hello

  It may be that your old Fan has been damaged, but one simple change of another does not solve the problem.
  As far as I know Toshiba a different thermal glue do for different models and processors!

  So, it may be that false thermal scope glue causes failure even because the heat from the processor cannot be moved and the fan runs all the time!
  Also your processor can be damaged in the future!
  Normally only the same processor will work without problem in your 1800-314. Other processors can operate, but need it know for your own!

• Strange printing problem - HP 4625 on WiFi network

  I have a strange problem with my all-in-One HP 4625 printer newly acquired.

  Problem: Printer is no longer available for regular printing on a daily basis.

  Description: Every morning, when I try to print a regular document of any application on my laptop, I get an error message: "unable to communicate with the printer.

  

  I am able to print from my account ePrint (e.g. by Nathaniel a mail to the printer).

  I am also able to ping the printer, access SAP and communicate with the printer, the integrated Web server shows the status of the printer as "ready"... but the 'regular' file-> print does not work.

  Network configuration: 802.11 g open wireless router (3com), 2 laptops running W7.

  HP Print and Scan doctor said that everything is okay, but the print test page fails with the error message

  Hello, two things to check.

  Is the 4625 using CAP1FN1240AR firmware.

  Set a static IP address on the 4625 outside the 3com DHCP range.

  You seem to be pressing the NumLock key. On an English keyboard, it can be reported Num, Num Lk, digital or similar. You should be able to turn it off by pressing it again. If this does not work, try to press it by pressing the Fn. consult the manual of your computer for more information.
