  These CPU updates is not supported by Toshiba and so there is no official list of processors, they will work in Equium P200. No one has tested the other processors in this model

  I think, you should contact the Asp (SAV) and ask them about compatible lcd screen. Can say that the screen is one of the most expensive parts of the laptop as a motherboard.

  One of my friends has an Equium P200-178 and the backlight on the screen has failed.

• Two questions with Equium P200-178

  Hi all

  I've owned my faithful * P200-178 * (PSPB2E-001002AV) for a few years now with no problems until recently. It has windows vista Home premium installed.

  First of all the built-in wireless (PA3613U-1MPC) stopped working after that a "friend" he fell! The switch works ok, but the light no longer works. I reinstalled the driver and it did make a difference. A message appears saying that the wireless adapter was not installed during the installation of the software. I even tried a model from the same wireless adapter and it does not work.   In my opinion in the first case, there must be some physical damage and I do not think there is something you can do to fix it. I guess that laptop must be disassembled and port/switch WLAN must be controlled by technicians.

  About second question I can not say much, but in my opinion you should back up all your important data and reinstall the OS using recovery media delivered. With clean OS preinstalled, you can test the WLAN functionality again and the functionality of the power button.

  I know that this is a more radical method, but do what you will be able to test the functionality of the laptop with the State factory and without some strange files or entries in OS preinstalled.

  Well, as far as I know the HARD drive recovery procedure is the same procedure as the use of the Recovery DVD.
  In both cases the laptop will be set to factory settings which means that you will get the same data on the HARD drive as on the first day of purchase
  So it need to format the HARD drive and should restore again uses the image of Toshiba.

  But if you want to know if the second partition will be deleted and then created again and then store a small file on the second partition and then perform the procedure of HARD drive recovery.

  After installing the OS has finished go to the second partition and check if the same file that is always present on the second partition.

• Satellite P200-178 had problems opening the game

  HI I am new to laptops and do not know much about computers, I bought an equium p200-178 on Friday.
  Having not used vista before that I was just looking around on it and thought, I want to play cards which is preinstalled, then I had problems at the opening of the game.

  It starts in a small window, so I enlarged it and started to play then all of a sudden the window returned to the small window so I have contributed the most it once again and it's once again.

  I called pcworld and was on the phone for 25mins A £1.50 per minute; They said to take it back because it was old 2 hours with the techguys in less than 24 hours and it's still they have reinstalled from start with the reboot disk.
  Then they said to try the view model. It was the same, and they said that it must be a bug on each of them and gave me a refund.
  Has anyone else had the same problems?

  Hi new to this forum... got the Equium P200-178 since last year and everything was very well, how ever I downloaded the program Tempo which alerts me up to dates, but when I supported the update for my computer, extract the files then run update the computer some how will then says that it is impossible to install the program on my computer. Y at - it anthing I could do wrong. Any help would be great.

  Any help is appreciated with this. We bought an Equium P200-178 to replace an older laptop, but we also currently have a desktop computer. These two share, via a reuter, an Epson Stylus DX6000 printer without no problem running. Two laptops to our grandson also connect via the network to the printer without any problems. When I try to connect the P200 to this printer using the "Add Printer Wizard" I repeatedly receive messages that it is impossible to find this printer. The connection with the Netgear reuter is listed as 'excellent' and we're all perplexed by this. No doubt there is something very simple which has been neglected, but unable to understand what something is.

• Equium P200-1ED: is it possible to use 3 Gbps HARD drive?

  I have a laptop Toshiba Equium P200-1ED and quickly fill capacity on the hard drive. I'm looking to upgrade to something like a 500-700 GB HARD drive.

  However, when I look around for 1.5 gb/s options I am limited to 160 GB maximum.

  Even if the current HARD disk interface is 1.5 gb/s (currently using Hitachi HTS542512K95A00) is possible to use a HARD 3 gb/s drive and P200-1ED will support it?

  I am not so embarrassed on the speed of performance, more the need for a larger storage capacity without having to get an external drive.

  Any advice would be appreciated.

  Equium P200 supports the controller SATA HDD and SATA I and SATA II HDD are compatible and would be supported by the BIOS.

  You can use a disk HARD SATA II (3 Gb/s).

  But perhaps only the 1.5BGb / s (SATA I performance) would be reached.

  I have been using my Equium P200 1IR awhile to play world of Warcraft. After an update the game crashes now, the screen becomes black when I'm in an area of the game where there are a lot of things. WoW advised me now, they do not support my driver who is an IntelGM965 and advised to update this.

  I tried to run a search on the site of my laptop toshiba, but it won't work. I did a search for the pilot, but whenever I have try and install anything on the laptop on the toshiba site it says that my phone does not have the ability to install.

  I have absolutely no idea if I can update my graphics driver and if so, how to do it on my laptop? Y at - it an update, so I can continue to play WoW, or as I feared I am looking to have to buy a new laptop?

  The XP operating system could not find the HARD drive because you have not installed the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
  It is a SATA driver is needed t install the XP.

  During the operating system installation process, you will need to press the F6 key to include the external USB FDD drive SATA driver.

  It you don t have a USB FDD drive then nLite software could be a solution.
