Drive DVD TS-L632D not write & burning CD and DVD

I have a portable Hassee W230r with a tsst ts-l632h DVGW DVD player.
Recently, the DVD drive is not burning DVDs or write data on DVD discs.
It allows to write DVD OK, but now after it said burning was a success, there's nothing on the disc.

Sometimes it sucessfully writes CD, other times it fails, especially when creating audio CDs and t plays most of the DVD (although sometimes he jumps about 5 minutes before you load the CD and DVD)

I can't find a driver for it, and to be honest Im not sure of time I should be using a driver, or "firmware".

I have dual boot XP and Ubuntu Hardy 8.04. Ubuntu Hardy comes with its own drivers for Hardware, but I get the same problems using Ubuntu on Windows. Which made me think that it was a hardware problem.

The laptop is 6 months old.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I recommend to ask support from the laptop manufacturer

  • CD/DVD RW drive bed but will not write...

I use Windows XP and use the disk drive: Optiarc DVD RW AD - 7530A. Under "Properties" is the State of the device "working properly" and he plays both CDs and DVDs. However, it will not write. I tried several software programs, including windows Media Player. When I right click on the driver, there is a recording tab.

The drive appears to work at first, but it can progress remains at 0% and the drive will continue as he does something, but it's not. If I try to cancel the burning using buttons in the software, nothing will happen. It will freeze my computer. The Task Manager will not work, and my only option is to keep the off button on the laptop until it dies. When I turn it back on, a small window pops up saying files are waiting to be transferred to disk, click on the bubble to continue (or something like that). If I click on it, then I see the blue screen of death and the computer shuts down.
He also seems to have done something for my Explorer, it freezes too (I'm on Safari now)

  • CD/DVD drive reads but does not write.

    I run XP multimedia.

When the optical drive no longer works, I ran malware controls, then Mats_Run.dvd.exe.

"I had to choose and choose fix' reading discs ' which it did.

"" Write function did not work so I ran /Mats_Run.dvd.exe again with the ' writing difficulty ' option.

Still, it reads but does not write.

I installed an external burner and repeated the above; same result.

  • DVD-ROM drive works, but does not appear in 'Computer' and discs can be played

I totally messed up my DVD - ROM drive. After graduating the famous blue screen of death once yesterday and once today, I thought that my PC settings reset would fix the problem. Then, I pressed F2 when my computer starts and resets all settings. Unforunately, this is something serious to my DVD - ROM drive. Initially, it did not work, so I opened my computer and somehow got it works. But now, it does not detect the disks I insert in there. I get the message "no DVD - ROM drive found."

Anyone know if it's fixable? I hope I don't have to take my computer somewhere for repair. Unforunately, I don't know the make or model of the hard drive. My the PC features that I think are important are listed below.

I watch this thread, so if I'm on my PC I will be notified by email of responses.

    Characteristics of the computer:

  • Why DVD players does not work? Indeed, DVD player works ONLY playback,... but doesn't work NOT to the write/burn any DVD/Sony and Memorex, etc..

    Hello:

DVD players, both came with the PC and MSI DVD - Rom I bought through the Internet works ONLY for playback of CD - r and DVD - r, but the two do NOT write/burn brand new DVD and CD - R, popping up in the middle of the screen,... Please insert the blank in the E floppy when I actually inserted in the DVD drive.

I have uninstall and rebooted the PC, in the hope that readers DVD works OK,... but nothing helps.

Wonder if the registry damaged for DVD player, or what other problems causing this problem?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Have you checked if the CD/DVD drive you purchased is a recordable disc? If this is the case, there should be an indication (e.g., CD-RW/DVD-RW). You can also check for the indication Device Manager.

If you have confirmed that it is indeed able to write on the discs, then try to activate the IMAPI. To do this please see the instructions below.

    1. click on start

    2. click on run

3 type "services.msc" (without the quotes)

    4. in the window that opens, you select IMAPI

    5. right-click on it and select "Properties".

    6 start the services.

  • Satego X 200 - 21 d: drive DVD TS-L632D is not read and burn DVD-R DL

    Hallo,

    I have problems with my DVD SATEGO X 200 - 21 d
TS-L632D read a burn only DVD-R DL discs.
I contacted Toshiba support via e-mail and asked
for a new disk firmware, but the answer did not solve my problem.

There are only updates in the download area of toshiba,
but not for my car model. I can send my laptop
for the money to a service partner, to check this problem.

I do not understand this! I bought a laptop upscale
for 1,700 EUROS and there is no support for the update of the firmware
available to solve problems with newer drives?

If I get this problem in the WEB, there is an a large number of
questions and problems with playback and engraving
Discs DVD-R DL with this drive model!
    How is it possible?

I hope for some advice to get an update of the firmware player
to solve the problems of reading and writing DVD - R DL discs.

    Janni J. Gettings of Germany

    Hello

I found the update of the firmware on the European driver Toshiba page!

Satego X 200 - 21 d seems to belong to the PSPBEE and the Toshiba page provides the update of the firmware to TO02.
It s for the TS-L632 reader.

But generally not all CD or DVD of all manufacturers is fully supported.

My knowledge of the user manual should provide a details and info on compatible and tested media.
Using recommended media, you can be sure they will be compatible and will work 100%.

  • DVD drive does not write - Satellite M40X-175

Im having a problem with my dvd. I tried to burn my movies, music and my files on a dvdr or cdr, I tried DVD - RW and CD - RW but I do it every time gives error "d:\ is not accessible incorrect function". but when I try to watch a dvd movie or use my music cd, it does not work. He reads. Does this mean that my dvd drive cannot be read and not write?

[Edited by: admin on 4 February 06 20:23]

    Hello

Satellite M40X sounds new enough to have CDs of feature writing. Seems to me a HW question but you can try:
1 - Clean the blank CD with a cloth dry
2 - blow to the goal and do not forget that there is no dust
    3. you can uninstall the driver from
    -> Panel-> system-> hardware-> Device Manager-> DVD - RAM-> (right click) properties--> driver uninstall-> restarting your laptop.

If they do not contribute, you can contact a Toshiba authorized Service partner. You can find the one nearest to http://217.45.123.236/toshiba/resellerselector.nsf/WebServiceProv?OpenForm

  • Matshita DVD RAM UJ850s ATA optical drive will not read burned media, running Vista

    * original title - CD/DVD unit read not "burned" cd *.

Hi, there are about 6 weeks, I had to do a recovery because a virus in my PC, the problem is that now the optical unit reads no CD, it reads 'original' CD, DVD (original and burned) but not burned CD specially those who have programs on them, could be a driver problem, but so far I have not been able to solve the problem , and I m not sure the original driver are in Sony's site, or any other Web site.

PS the thing Burns CD and they can be read after that that they were "closed".

I have a VAIO VGN-N330FH, running Vista Home Basic 32 bit (Spanish), the model is a Matshita DVD RAM UJ850s ATA Device.

    Hello

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always problematic.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and

Thank you in advance for any help you can

The DVD player may require cleaning with a cheap kit that you can buy at any place that sells computers.  I had good experience with my readers DVD LG, not to mention my LG TV that I love.  One thing you can do when you are trying to burn DVDs would be to reduce the burn speed.  I usually use the software Roxio or Nero to burn DVDs - they have always worked well for me.

Relative to the backup, use one of these big drives for backup and you get a good 3rd party backup program like the free Easeus todo backup free of charge that you can download from

http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home/free-backup-software.htm .  Better yet, you get an external hard drive.  You can buy these days 1.5 to ones for about $90.

    Good luck.

Hello world! The problem is basically just, he doesn't want to write/burn any cd/dvd brand more. He works wonders for little over a year and recently developed this problem. I'm sure that's not media brands I've tried with several. The problem with Nero, Alcohol120%, MagicISO, PowerISO, Burn4Free, regardless of what I am trying to burn data, audio, regular programs or images. Note that I am able to write with alcohol with success but there is in fact nothing on the CD and Nero burns the data also but fails to verify after the fact and gives an error. Writing on DVD R/RW is completely failed, creating coasters. Also the Player opens without reason and when he wants. I have laptop Toshiba A200 - 1 MB under original Vista Home Premium. Try to remove the CD/DVD filters in the registry.
When the associated CD/DVD (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), the software is installed, they install filters in the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.

    (1) run Regedit (start-> Run-> Regedit)
    2) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    (3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".
    (4) restart.

If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).

This utility can remove the filters for you:

Also remove the dust on the lens with a clean Microfiber cloth.
