    Hello

I have a HDTB110AK3BA - Toshiba 1 TB Canvio Plus Portable Hard Drive for storage 3.0 Basics and the computer will allow it to connect, but it does not appear in my computer / pc is in Device Manager thought but not my pc

Please help and Windows 7 or windows 8.1 PC do the same thing.

    Hello

I found the description of the product of this external HARD disk:

    Product features:
    • USB 3.0 - powered portable add-on storage.
    • Voltage of bus capable USB, no need for AC adapter.
    • Easy to use with no software to install.
    • Adapts to large digital files with spacious storage capacity.
    • Protect your drive (internal shock sensor and ramp loading technology).

    Specifications
    • Capacity: 1.0 TB
    • Interface: USB 3.0
    • Transfer rate: up to 5 Gb/s
    • Speed: 5 400 rpm
    • Average access time: 12ms
    • Cache buffer: 8 MB

It is a HARD USB 3.0 drive. No doubt the HARD drive is not recognized correctly in windows exploerer due to the low power.
The USB 2.0 port common feeds only 500mA. The USB 3.0 device must be able to 900mA.
Therefore, it would be advisable to connect this 2 ports USB 2.0 HARD drive with a USB Y cable

    Hello

drivers are located on the download site for the driver from Toshiba:

  • Aspire 5740g and the dvd drive does not appear in 'my computer '.

I had to have a new installed hard drive I got an error message saying old default disk.

I also had a clean install of windows 7 that I was uncertain if my discs that I created would be ok.

So I have not all the gifts that have been installed on the laptop like new. Now, I find that the dvd drive is not displayed in my computer and nothing happens when I insert the disc.

This has happened a couple of days and I did a restore of the system to a previous restore point.  Does anyone know how to solve this problem.

I also do not have the secure egis - any ideas how to get this back

Then... your DVD is probably defective.

did you check in the BIOS if it is listed on bootable devices?

Press F2 at startup, if it is not listed, it is defective.

After upgrading windws vista to windows 7, I can't find cd/dvd drive in my computer (sony vaio) .plz I can do to fix this?

    Hello Rash0411,

Thank you for your message.  First start by going to your computer manufacturer's website and download/install the latest driver for your device.  We will check the following:
Click 'Start' > right click on 'Computer' > select 'manage '.
    Click on Device Manager.
Expand "readers of CD-ROM/DVD-ROM" (you see a yellow!, or you see your drive at all?)
If you don't see any of your drive, you may need a bad connection of your drive power to the motherboard or power.
    Please let us know.
    See you soon

  • My external hard drive will appear in my Computer. But when I try to send files (right click) in the "send to", the drive does not appear.

I can access the drive and it's files already on it. But I am unable to send files, more. There are a lot of remaining space on the external hard drive. And I use Windows Vista if it gives more clues to the problem. I can't seem to find the answer to this. Large number of people to open disk management and change the assigned letter. But that's only if (if it appears) if the player initially does not appear under my Computer.Again, i have no problem to access this drive and its contents once it is plugged into my laptop.
