Drive recovery for Equium A60-157 PSA67E

Has anyone got a copy of the disc recovery issued with an equium A60-157 PSA67E as I am trying to get this laptop for work and unable to get its hotkeys control and be able to work.

I think I've worn out my wellcome with Equium forum and technical appeal but it's somewhere I myself lack of understanding on this subject.

I loaded all recent downloads listed on their site, but always impossible to get these functions to work.

So can you help me please...

David

Hello

Why you n t install a new Windows OS on this laptop?
Missing drivers can be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
All drivers are available!

The recovery disc can be ordered for this model of laptop because it s too old.
Clean install OS Win + drivers is therefore the only option

  • Equium A60-157 PSA67E: where to find the Toshiba common module

Slowly work his problems but can someone tell me what is the "Toshiba common module" as one of the programs will not because he can't find it.

Also the Intervideo windvd v5.0b11.288 - srs has been modified to Toshiba systems and it's around anywhere?

    Thank you very much David

    Hello

I checked the Equium A60 driver download area and there is no common module for download.
In General, the common Module is a tool for Win XP that is required for the execution of other tools of Toshiba correctly.

I guess that common Modules are not necessary for this model of laptop.

With regard to the windvd: WinDVD can be downloaded from the Toshiba page, because it is not a tool of Toshiba and this tool has been a part of the recovery disk

  • Where to get the original recovery for Equium A60 CD?

    Hello
I'm looking for a CD of origin for Toshiba EQUIUM A60.
    Please give my a link.

    THX

The original Toshiba Recovery CD, you can purchase from the service partner in your County.
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?PF=true

The other possibility is to install the OS from the Microsoft CD-ROM, and then install all the drivers Toshiba and the Toshiba driver page tools.

  • Software/drivers Equium A60-157 (PSA67E) understand?

I'm trying to restore (from scratch, no OS system) an A60-157 and find it goes hard, so I have some questions to ask.

I loaded an XP Home edition with service pack 1 included, (still looking for a copy of the original release) as it was spitting feathers with my XP pro + SP3 copy and it is now in a "better mood", I am aware that some older systems has been working with the first version of XP Original, but if you tried to give them a newer version (beginning with a later XP copy) you encounter problems of pilot.

So my first question is Toshiba used a "copy of XP converted" IE had added pieces found outside the walls of their factory?

My second is the recovery disk he did or does it now have copies of the software added to this disk, (like adobe 6 and windvd v5 etc.) before buy you, because I downloaded all the drivers for my model and not mind to pay £30 for the same thing again, because I wonder if this software has a few key to all of this?

I'm working on a lost cause? where to change the brightness of the screen, I have to go into the Bios!

Thank you very much a battle weary David

    > So my first question is Toshiba used a "copy of XP converted" IE had added pieces found outside the walls of their factory?

Don t know what you mean by a copy converted to XP but the Toshiba notebook are / have been delivered with the recovery disc that contains an image. The image is a package that contains the Windows operating system, the Toshiba drivers, tools and additional programs like WinDVD, etc.
    That's all

    > My second is the recovery disk he did or does it now have copies of the software added to this disk, (like adobe 6 and windvd v5 etc.) before buy you, because I downloaded all the drivers for my model and not mind to pay £30 for the same thing again, because I wonder if this software has a few key to all of this?

All 3rd party software that was part of the recovery image Toshiba cannot be downloaded, because it s not Toshiba software you can download only tools of Toshiba and the Toshiba page drivers. It also means that you can use as part of recovery disk, you will get only the keys etc for this

    Hello

    I think that it is a question more. And the answer is;

. Contact the ASP in your country for a new Toshiba Recovery CD.

By the way; You should first check the forum for a similar question because like I said above; It is a question asked. This has been posted 10,000 times here in the forum ;)

  • Need to drive recovery for Equium A200-15i

I'm a noobie and posted this query in the box Equium, so apologies for swap. I bought an Equium A200-15i computer about a month ago. There was _no_ recover CDs in the box just the Windows Anytime upgrade disc. I contacted the store where I bought the computer to be told to put in the computer and they would take the details of it in order to create or order the CD. I did this and then said that they would have to wait until 'a guy' is established at the end of week, who knew how to create these discs and back again once then.

Because of the great distance involved in travel, I was reluctant to make a second trip to the store and suggested that if they take all the details of the computer now, they should be able to create this disc and then after it me. I still have not received this drive at all. Now at the same time, the guys at 'tech' in the shop said they believed that I wouldn't need a CD master. In addition, they imply that it should be possible to create this disk myself at the first start-up or windows environment itself. I do not remember this option of provision for me at this time and I can't find anything on the computer that would allow me to accomplish such a task.

Here, I'm confused. I know not enough about computers to realize that you need a Master CD to recover a system failure major hard drive or simply to clean and re-all over again!

What are your thoughts on this situation? Should this model really a MAster CD. How do you create one. What should I do next? Thanks for your time and your patience with me on this

    null

    Hello

I wonder why you did not receive the Toshiba Recovery CD with your laptop.
I'm 100% sure that the CD or the DVD should be bundled with the laptop Toshiba together
I put t know if the package was already opened or not, but the DVD must be available!

SO either you go ask your original dealer of laptop to a Toshiba Recovery CD or simply contact you the Toshiba ASP and will be stopped a new!

  • Downloads for Equium A60-157 HELP!

    Hello

I got my A60 for a few months now and it has been fine. Today, if I closed the lid for a tea break - when I came back and put the cover up, the screen didn't reappear. All lights are still on - he always seemed to be 'on' but nothing happened and he would not yet be stopped. I was advised to remove the battery, put it back again, food, etc., which fixed the problem. But the guy said that it was a model and I need to download anything from Toshiba Web site to stop it happening again. Does anyone know what I need to download? Perhaps the BIOS? None of the downloads of sense to me...

    Thank you!

    Hello Eleanor,.

the guy meant probably put a BIOS or the toshiba Power saver, which is responsible for the standby and hibernation.
You can download the current versions at https://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com under Driver Download!

    Good luck

    Hallo Stefan

Recovery CD or DVD can be controlled by Toshiba partner in your country. Otherwise you n t need to buy one, and you can use the full version of Microsoft WXp CD facilities and you can download all the stuff of Toshiba (drivers, tools and utilities) of the Toshiba download page.

  • Equium A60-157: Question about maximum size of HARD drive

    Hello

Looking to upgrade my Pentium 4 3.06GHz Equium A60-157 a bit then got a new module of 1024 MB of RAM, but now really to upgrade my 40 gb HDD to go with. I found all the specifications of the type of HARD drive, I need, but may not know what the maximum size of the disk, it is that the BIOS will recognize. I don't think that I've never updated by the BIOS and I'm looking to get a 120 GB drive. Any ideas please?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Alex,

Most portable smanufactured in the last 5 years or so are able to accept larger hard drive capacity without problem. I am currently using a 80 GB drive in an old SA30 of three years. I can't guarantee a 120 GB drive will work, but I see no reason why it wouldn't.

    Kind regards

  • Equium A60-157, problem after update BIOS 1.90

    Hi all!

I've had my Toshiba Equium A60-157 for two months. I've updated the my bios twice. First of 1.70 to 1.8 C and from 1.8 to the current 1.90 (common at the time I made this post).

I noticed that as soon as I used my recovery DVDs to restore the laptop to the default constructor, I had a problem with the main user account that is normally created after the completion of the recovery strategy.

Whenever Windows would open a session after the recovery account generated, a popup would display a message similar to the following:

"Windows can not load the profile and connects you with a temporary profile." No changes will be saved. "

He also said that this problem was maybe due to incorrect permissions, or something like that. The pop-up window also contained a 30-second countdown before opening in windows with the temporary profile. As indicated by the pop-message no changes would be recorded. I could even change my user account image.

I ran it again the DVD of recovery only to get the same problem. This NEVER happened when I ran on the original bios 1.70, bios recovery DVD AND 1.8 c.

Anyway I came up with a solution to this problem, which only caused me no problem at the present time.

I just logged into Windows mode without failure, entered the account administrator, created a new account and deleted the account of departure (created at the end of the recovery program).

So far, the user account-wise, everything back to normal.

If the recovery strategy or the bios did not cause this problem, I would be grateful if someone could give me some possibilities of doing just that.

I don't want to get updates of bios from 5-10 down the road, only to find out that my recovery DVD does not work.

Fact the DVD should be updated as well as the recovery bios?

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi, Conrad

Can you please tell me why you do the updates to the BIOS? Have you had any problems? I use my unit for close to two years and I didn t make any BIOS update so far. If everything works well, it is not necessary to do an update with the exception of some Microsoft updates that make the OS more secure. Don t do any update if it is not necessary.

In any case, I am very confused with your question. Normally, Recovery DVD should not be updated. The BIOS updates are useful if there is a hardware conflict or a problem and not a problem using the operating system or any software.

It will be interesting to know why you're doing the recovery procedure each time after BIOS update.

  • Equium A60-173 PSA67E does not start

I don't have a model Equium: Equium A60-173 (PSA67E-00700C8J) that will not start.

It tries to start hard drive turns, the fan starts, the dvd drive light flashes, the hard disk light flashes and then he died.

Battery life is very good, charger/power supply is fine.
Lights on the front shows the unit is on and the battery is being charged, they all light green.

I removed everything, left power and removed the battery for an hour, but it still will power not on.

    Any ideas?

It looks like a faulty motherboard, but it is not easy to say.

You have already removed the battery and the AC adapter and waited upward at the time, so you have to go to an ASP and ask a technician for help. They can check your laptop and exchanging parts.

On the Toshiba site, you can search an ASP:
