I can't get the internet to work with the old PC, or I want to download the drivers directly here. I found a few options for pilots with the Vista computer, but they all want allows you to download the diagnostic and I won't be using this printer on my Vista computer, so I don't want to do it this way. -something pop - up and say ' the local print spooler does not.
-Cannot find the driver on the internet too...
Please help me... Ive got tons of work to do...
Hi momo lulamka,.
1. at the printer works very well under Windows 7 64-bit sooner?
The compatibility of Windows 7 Center believes that any information on this model of printer there is a possibility that this printer is perhaps not compatible with Windows 7.
Method 1
As a work around you can check if the print spooler service is running on the computer.
A print spooler is the service that temporarily stores the disk printing hard or in memory until the printer is ready to print.
You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.
(a) open administrative tools by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type Administrative Tools, and then click Administrative Tools.
(b) double click Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
(c) right click on the print spooler service, and then click Properties.
(d) under the tab general , next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
(e) if the service is not already running, under Service status, click Startand then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Why can I not print?

Method 2
If the above step failure then run the troubleshooter available in the link below.
Printer in Windows problems

I was unable to find the drivers for the printer on the Canon website according to the link below, you will need to contact Canon for more information on the pilots.
I hope this helps!

I have a laptop running Windows 7 (64-bit machine) I want to print from. The laptop is on a home network wireless. The office is wireless as well and is running Windows XP. The Office has a Canon Pixma iP4000 printer connected with a parallel cable. I installed the latest XP drivers for the printer on the desktop. The laptop can connect directly to the printer with a USB cable and drivers will download automatically and it will print correctly. However, I can't connect the printer using the wireless system. I can go on the laptop to the home network and navigate to the printer and try to install. It makes an automatic search and says that it cannot find the correct drivers. I can browse to the file to install on my desktop, but it of an .exe file and not. INF. I run the .exe file and it installs too, but Setup of printer on the laptop won't let me not by the .inf screen add to complete the installation of a wireless printer.
Any suggestions?
Very probably the XP driver name is different from the name of 64-bit driver. Create a Local Port which copies the data to the print size in Windows 7.
Here is an article knowledge base how to the names of the incompatible drivers. Replace the Windows 7 machine for NT4 machine referenced in the article.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/282842
If you load the printer driver 32-bit on your 64-bit computer, you need the 32-bit driver for Windows 7. You can do if you have a 32-bit computer of Windows 7 on the network to push pilots up to the machine that is sharing the printer. None are flat files on the Windows 7 DVD, you need to install the OS or mount the ISO.
The key to successful sharing between computers that run different printing architecture processors is pilot name. PCL6 equal NOT PCL 6.

Problem Canon PIXMA MP760 and Windows 7
Hello.
I just installed Windows 7 and tried to connect my printer (Canon PIXMA MP760). He finds some drivers it cost but it showd a mistake and this seems to be the main engine.
I have also tried to download driver from here https://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Hardware&p=Canon%20PIXMA%20MP760%20Photo%20All-In-One%20Printer&v=Canon&uid=9792A005&pf=0&pi=4&c=Printers%20%26%20Scanners&sc=Multifunction&os=32-bit
But when he took out and so now he appears just "check the connection of the cable between the printer and the computer... blabla".
I tried to reconnect the printer, enable/disable, restart the pc, checked the cable connection +++ but I can't make it work.
When I go to devices and printers, I see that the scanner of the printer part appears as a device, but not the printer itself.
Someone has any advice on what to do to get it working?
EDIT: I also tried to install the printer on another computer with windows 7. Same problem there. :(
Hi printerhelp,
Please do not forget to go to the Canon website to download the software and drivers for Windows 7, as the two look update:
If this isn't your correct printer, you should be able to look it up directly on the Canon site.
I hope this helps!

Driver for Canon Pixma IP4600 printer
I had to reinstall Windows on my PC due to obtaining a bad virus. My Canon Pixma IP4600 printer worked before the re - install, but now windows can't find a driver. I spoke to Canon and they said that they offer is no longer supported, but Windows should continue to support and drivers must come from there. I tried a driver through Control Panel, but it is said that a driver is not available. This printer is not that old, so I can't believe that there is no driver available to all. Can you help me please?
I'm sorry, but as I explained Microsoft does not write drivers for Canon products.
Microsoft writes and provides drivers for their own products.
All drivers that Microsoft may provide in their OS for Canon products provided by Canon.
I suggest that contact you Canon and get them to set this output or first try the Vista drivers.
Kind regards.

I REALLY NEED HELP TO CONNECT MY PRINTER TO MY COMPUTER OVER ETHERNET NETWORK!
I am too having the same problem. But when my Windows 7 detects the printer (Canon Pixma MX30 Series), it says: "cannot connect to the printer access denied." in another window that says: "connection to CanonMX3 on...» Driver search. I installed the drivers in normal installation and also while in Windows Explorer.I'm running an T3304 eMachine with concert 1.3 gig RAM 2.0 GHz 100 HARD drive. When I was running Windos XP, I had no trouble to run my printer on my computer. The printer is connected to another computer and I access it through the other computer via ethernet gateway. My ethernet gateway is a Desktop Switch ProSafe NertGear 120/100 5 - port.
I did everything as I would have done it all by running Windows XP and also used the Windows 7 help files. Everything I read that I made and I am still unable to connect to the printer and print. I went as far as hanging the printer on my computer, and that day, I was actually able to print even if it's with erors. I contacted Canon and downloaded the new drivers for Windows 7 and still no luck.
When I ran Windows XP I would install the printer on my computer and I have it print to a file and it would be later configuration of the port it to connect through. I have also tried this and no luck.
What operating system is the computer that has the printer connected to the current?
Also check the permissions on the printer... is the username of the Win7 PC added to this?

Canon pixma ip4000 printer works only with Windows 8.1
Separated from this thread.
Hai, I have a Canon pixma ip4000 printer, it works fine with my desktop running windows 7, but it didn't with my laptop running windows 8.1
I can't find any driver support to the Canon Web site.
Is there any solution for this?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you
Hello Chit,
Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.
I suggest trying to download the latest Windows 7 drivers from Canon Web site and then try to install in compatibility mode.
Step 1: Download the drivers from the Canon Web site.
Step 2: Installing the driver in compatibility mode.

You can also provide the following link to check the compatibility of the printer.

Follow the Microsoft articles as reference and check if that helps.
