Driver for my printer not recognized by windows 8. Device

I tried to install an old printer in windows8. The pilot was not available and none was available at HP. I get the message not recognized usb device and I can't get rid of the message. Chat help or tech support Microsoft have not been able to help. all of the suggestions.

If this printer manufacturer provides no driver win7/8 and windows update via Add printer has no drivers, its does not work

And any workaround method will be more expensive than buying a new printer compatible

  • USB printer not recognized after Windows update

    OT: usb device not recognized

After that suddenly stop, reboot, done, the device is plugged in where the printer indicates that it does not recognize the device. I said abattissent unplug it and reconnect it and if it doesn't work me to replace... I re install the driver for the Hpdeskjet940c but nothing works...

    Hello grasshopper.

This problem may be caused mainly by broken printer drivers, this could have been caused when you installed the updates. I suggest that you start with a restoration of the system on the computer by choosing a restore point when it was working fine.

    a. Click Start, type system restore in the search box and then in the list click on the system restore program.

    b. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.

    d. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    e. click Finish.

You can see the following article for reference:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/features/system-restore

You can also try driver restore on the computer and check if it helps.

To roll back a driver in Windows send the driver to the version that was finally installed for the device. Restoring a driver is an easy way to return a driver for a working version when a driver update fails to fix a problem or maybe even a new problem.

    a. open the Device Manager. To do this, click Start, type device in the area Manager search and then click on Device Manager in the list programs.

    b. right click on the device for which the previous version of the driver is desired and then click Properties.

    c. click the tab drivers.

    d. click on Roll Back Driver.

  • J4580 printer not recognized by Windows 8

Hi all, thank you very much in advance for the help.

I tried to install HP Officejet J4580 Windows 8 64-bit, but its not recognized at all. Seesms that Windows does not recognize device correctly with the latest driver installed or uninstalled. The printer itself is work corretly (with the same cable on Fedora). I also tried HP tools for printers, but all ask me to connect the printer connected (as well as the isnatller).

    See you soon,.

    Ivan

Well, I want you to go through the steps, I described above in my first set of instructions on how to uninstall/reinstall the printer.

In addition to these steps, I will need to go to your C: drive and record programs and the programs (x 86) folder deletes files HP or Hewlett-Packard (assuming that the printer is the only device HP).

Press on the R of Key + Windows which will bring up the run window. Type "%AppData%" and remove all HP / Hewlett-Packard records. Do the same for "programdata %."

Reinstall the printer from the download that I linked.

As a quick question, you upgrade to Win8 or it was installed?

  • DVD - rom is not recognized by windows xp Device Manager

I have a laptop Satellite M115 with XP and I noticed that yesterday that my cd-rom does not work.  It does not appear in Device Manager at all.   There is a place in systems that say CD-ROMs, but when I click there nothing.  I tried the "fix it" does not.  I looked to try to find the upper and lower registry keys and are not there either.  I even tried to reinstall the cd-rom, but there is no entry for it.  I tried to start with cd player and he did, but the meter turns, it just starts.  Fisically, the drive seems to work, when I put a cd in the drive, he lights up as if it is going to work but does not work.  I can not find anywhere, it is as if it disappeared completely.  I'm not able to be executed.  I rarely use the drive so I know that it is not worn.  I tried to access other programs that would use the player, such as windows and dvd media movies and they say that the drive is disconnected or not.  I have not upgraded to Vista, so it isn't that.  I still have XP.  Do you think that a security update could have wiped out the ability to find the cd-rom?  If so, what is it?  I do not have a virus I know.  My antivirus can't find anything and cannot care Windows online.  No infection.  I would eliminate the pc with a clean install, but it will not read my disc! I am at my whits end!  Any help at all would be deeply appreciated.

  • Driver for HP6988 does not work in Windows 7

I have windows 7 on my laptop and I try to install my Deskjet 6988 printer.  Plug in the USB and it says it downloads the driver successfully, but when I try to add the printer it says that the driver is missing something.  I uninstalled and reinstalled several times and nothing seems to help.  I'm having the same problem with HP Photosmart C5580 all in one.  The same problem.  I am really frustrated.  I also tried to connect to a Deskjet 3050 a J11 since this is a new printer and it wouldn't work with either.  Can you help me?

I was hoping I wouldn't have to do, but since I think I've tried just about everything else, I might have to.  I hope that the scannow will work.  Thanks for your help.

  • Driver for Lenovo Printer Laser LJ2000 Windows 7, 64-bit

I can't find the driver for Lenovo Printer Laser LJ2000 on Windows 7 64 bit OS

    Hi, AlbertChung

I just looked around the Internet to find answers about this request, according to Lenovo China website said that there is no driver for Windows 7. I managed to find a driver on Lenovo China site, but it supports: Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98 Second edition, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows XP. This is why I can not guarantee that the driver works with Windows 7.

The driver that I found: http://support1.lenovo.com.cn/lenovo/wsi/Modules/DriverDetail.aspx?ID=3514

This list shows the Lenovo Windows 7-compatible printers:

  • Optical drive is not recognized in Windows 8.1 (x 64) or in the UEFI System Diagnostics.

    Description of the problem:

Optical drive is not recognized in Windows 8.1 (x 64) or in the UEFI System Diagnostics.

    Steps to recreate:

    UEFI:

    1. Start the PC in diagnosis system UEFI (F2 at the STATION)
    2. Pane controls
    3. Optical drive
    4. Sequential control
    5. Error: Optical drive not installed.

    8.1 Windows (x 64):

    1. Run Device Manager
    2. Error: No CD/DVD Drives section.
    3. Search for new hardware changes nothing.

    Relevant system specs:

Mobile: HP Pavilion 15-n023sa (construction of vanilla)

    Optical drive: HP DVDRAM gu70n

    Steps already taken to solve:

    • Replaced the DVD drive with one of the similar specs of HP Pavilion. The replaced gn70n perfectly in the other machine. No change on problem laptop. Conclusion: DVD player works, and there is no problems with Windows 8.1 (x 64).
    • Removed DVD player. Restarted the computer. Sign in to Windows. Stop. Replace the DVD drive. Start the laptop. This is trying to solve defects of material with the PnP devices; more help to solve any problems of intermittent loose connection. Conclusion: No change.
    • Ran, troubleshooting of hardware and devices, via the control panel. Problem found: material changes may not have been detected. Explore more options just takes you through http://social.answers.microsoft.com/search/en-us/?query=hardware+device, that it is a 404 error page. Conclusion: Help and Support Windows is sorely lacking. They show no more information than just that something was detected as incorrect.
    • Ran the Microsoft FixIt troubleshooting of optical disc and auto repairman. (http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/5/8/F586FB7C-78E0-40EB-AF41-4C925F803CAF/CDDVDWin8.meta.dia... The convenience store has reported that the device was not found. He recommended to remove all power cables, power off, and various other things which have no relevance for computer laptop troubleshooting of switching equipment. He said: If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer. Conclusion: Windows troubleshooting can not solve the problem.
    • Run Windows Update to ensure that all updates and definitions have been installed. Conclusion: Windows is perfectly up to date.
    • Run a complete Rootkit and malware using Sbybot S & D 2.3 heuristic analysis. as a signature database scan using Windows Defender. Conclusion: Laptop is clean of rootkits and malware, to the best of my knowledge.

    Notes:

The DVD player is NOT appear in Device Manager, OR in this PC.

The DVD drive is NOT detected by diagnostics system UEFI.

There is reference to the DVD in BIOS drive NUMBER , other than as an option of Setup, which is generic.

The DVD player itself, works and has been verified on a different machine.

The only possible conclusion is that the optical drive port mini-SATA on the motherboard is dead.

  • Yoga Pro 2 - display not recognized in windows (hardware or driver problem?)

Out of warranty by a month!

Yoga Pro 2-256 gb, installed a new wireless card a month ago. Windows 8.1

The touchscreen still work while the screen is black.

System restarted after the mode 'sleep', in my opinion.

The Lenovo logo is displayed, seems to load Windows, but when windows loads (I don't see it so it is a hypothesis of load) drafts of the screen and the black light is on.

Can I connect an external monintor that connects after the return from sleep mode (odd). Who then off the backlight.

When the external monitor, the internal screen is not yet recognized by windows.

When I boot in safe mode, the internal display works fine with of course limited capabilities.

I rebooted on the support site display drivers.

Right now my internal monitor is not recognized by windows and is dark, and I can use an external monitor.

Someone at - he of the clues as to what my happen? Hardware, driver etc?

    Can what information I provide?

It is a pretty weird problem with contradictory observations.

    (1) screen working in Mode safe but not regular boot. (So not the hardware problem)

    (2) display on an external monitor in normal mode. (So, no drivers issue)

Have you installed the wireless card yourself? You unplug the cable from the screen during the installation of the card?

Could you re - open and check that all connections are good?

The Wi - Fi card works well?

I also recommend a complete reset of the laptop to eliminate the possibility that it is a corrupt driver. You can use the NOVO button to reset your laptop. Make sure you make a backup on an external drive for your personal files.

  • CD/DVD drive not recognized by Windows Vista

I installed a suite of burningb of CD and DVD on my Toshiba (under Vista Home Premium). My CD/DVD drive appeared more in the computer and was no longer functional. I deleted the program I installed and apparently caused the problem, but it did not help. I have read through the help of Microsoft (929461, 314060) documents and used the Fix - It utility. Also unsuccessful. I discovered the response of Martin, the technical support engineer made on May 5, 2009. I followed his instructions with great success. However, my question now is this: I have still some remains of the problem left over. I get an error message at startup saying, 'InstaBurn UDF driver is not installed correctly. Run the InstaBurn installation program. ' InstaBurn is part of the suite of the copy (hotpics by Nova Development Corp.).  I also have an error message of my reader DVD Toshiba saying that the DVD player does not work - although it is. I played a DVD as a test on it after that I followed the instructions above. How can I remove these error messages annoying that aren't accurate?  Would appreciate any information about this minor - but annoying problem.

    Hello

Do a Restore Point then you can go back to where you are if necessary although you should not have to:

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.
