  My card reader SD HP Pavilion dv6 does not work after windows 8 upgrade (6 months ago).   I deleted Windows Vista from my Satellite Pro A200 for XP Home.
  I'm much happier with the machine now, but I am unable to get any response from the card reader. There is no mention in the manual supplied with the machine.
  I cannot find any reference to it in the Control Panel hardware Manager and nothing changes here in it when I insert a SD memory card.

  I've made some progress on this issue, it seems that Cardbus devices cannot share IRQS, although the main problem is that FFDFB200-FFDFB3FF memory address is shared by the SD card controller and device memory SD card.   The Tecra 9000 was delivered with 3 different OS.
  It was delivered with Windows XP Pro, W2k and Win98. You can order all the images of this Toshiba home Toshiba service partner. That's why Tecra 9000 does support Windows XP!
