  I could be wrong, but "Viewsonic va800" resembles a monitor?  I think that you need to update the drivers for your graphics card.  In Device Manager, look at "Graphics cards" (that's what they are called in Windows7, could be something different in xp...).

  Hi, when I insert a flash memory card (SanDisk 8 GB SDHC or SanDisk 2 GB Compact Flash) either by inserting the card into a card reader, AutoPlay comes on but the image transfer stops after a few images have been copied to any program (Windows, Picasa, etc.). I chose to copy the files. Same experience when I connect the camera with the memory card in the camera using the USB cable to the PC. I tried to re - format camera memory cards, but it has no effect.
  Also, I feel the same when I try to copy from a USB flash drive (the drive is basic, not a U3 key).
  I have a HP Pavilion m9400t Elite desktop running Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I own this desktop computer for a year and I've always had this problem. I have no problem using these flash memory cards and a USB drive on my old XP PC or an Apple Mac Book. For what I can tell, my Vista desktop is set for automatic windows and updates from HP. Everything about the plan of updating drivers, etc., which would solve this problem would be appreciated.

  I need assistance with our Barcode Scanners that doesn't work on our newly purchased computers at HP with Windows7 Pro x 64 operating systems.

  The brand and model of the bar code scanner is:

  Datalogic Heron D130 USB.

  When you connect the scanner to a USB port, Windows will try to install this as a HID, but it takes an unusually long time, about 7-8 seconds, to boot the device and install the drivers and appears as an unknown device in windows "devices and printers" and the hand scanner does not work.

  Sometimes when you move the USB back can I sometimes the scanner at hand to be recognized as an HID device or a Datalogic barcode scanner,

  It works fine until you restart the computer.

  The problem is not power - related.

  We use passive USB hubs that solves the problemon these computers.

  (it also works with the docks, or if you EliteDisplay E241 HP as we thers a usb hub 2 ports inbulit in monitor that works.)

  The problem lies in the incompatibility between the Intel USB controller and the hand scanner, can be connected to USB 3.0

  When you let another usb-controller support in handshakeing (such as a usb hub), it works.

  Datalogic or Intel would like to acknowledge this error.

  Because none of the big companies want to acknowledge the problem or repair, personally chose to switch to an AMD platform / CPU instead of the Intel and now it works fine!

  We get more performance for your money when AMD is usually less expensive to purchase.

  And because of the poor of Datalogic press where they don't even answer e-mail (their only channel for support)

  I chose to stop using their products. I'm going to use another provider / brand of barcodescanners.

• MX922 software for scanner problem

  I love this printer.  Don't like the software that comes with it.  One of the things I do more often with the part of the printer scanner is to scan both sides of a cheque for electronic filing in my Bank.  The first thing I found was that my bank requires the cheque images in jpeg format.  I like to analyze controls in black & white to reduce the 'noise' in the picture.  Unfortunately, the Canon scanner software will not allow scanning in black & white jpeg, only PDF format.  Why?  It's one of the things that is most basic to do with a scanner, but your software won't allow it.   Seems pretty strange to me.  I found also not an option to set the DPI value for my scans.  And it will allow me to identify a destination for the image folder.  I am looking for a replacement software solution that will provide the options that I need, rather than assuming that I'm too stupid to know what I want.  Does anyone found a better software solution for the scanner?

  You can scan as a black and white JPEG files, set the DPI and choose Save the location of the item using the driver of the scanner ScanGear, accessible via the IJ Scan Utility program provided with the printer. To do this, please follow these steps:

  1. open the utility of scanning IJ.

  2. in the lower right corner of the window, please click on the SETTINGS button.  This will open the window of parameters (Auto Scan).

  9. click the button of SCANGEAR.  The ScanGear window will launch.

  10. click on the ADVANCED MODE tab in the top right of the screen.

  Use the operating system drop-down to select the Win7 version that you are running.

  Before installing this software, you must uninstall the Win10 MS default drivers and turn the printer off.

  Then, do not turn on the printer again until HP Setup is looking for it.  Once you turn on the printer, it should appear in the list.

  After the installation is complete and you restart, you should be able to use again.

• Vista Ultimate 64 - Driver scanner Canon 4400f not recognized/corrupted

  I have a USB of Canon 4400F scanner that works fine with other computers (Vista laptop and a desktop Windows XP), but for some reason any drivers/registry for this device is messed up on my PC, and it will not (re) install correctly.
  It worked perfectly for a long time (over a year), but do not use it for a while, after he is now stuck in the same unusable state, no matter what I do. I suppose that some day that something has caused this.

  All started with Device Manager telling me that the scanner was disabled when I had a glance to see why the scanner did not work. So, I allowed it. Status changed and then "no drivers are installed for this device. Yet, in the tab drivers, drivers are listed (good version) and appear as it should (the driver dll files are still visible and correct).

  So here's what I've tried:

  (1) uninstall the device and drivers. Reset. Reinstall the drivers, then plug in the device. Status: disabled. Activation of gives the original problem no 'drivers '.

  (2) uninstall again, this time including the devices 'hidden' when he was in other USB ports. Searched the registry for all traces of the appliance, by product ID, code provider GUID, name of the manufacturer etc.. Deleted every file temp (windows General and specific user) and also the windows update "DataStore" and "Downloads" folder just to be safe.
  Now, this method worked in the past for a U3 USB key that there was an identical error. This time? Restart, install the drivers, install device - FAIL. Even disabled error followed by 'pilots No. "

  Thanks for your suggestion - but I managed to fix another way before I saw your post, so I have not been able to test your method.
  I uninstalled SP2 (with the intention of doing a repair using my Vista SP1 DVD). However, after removing SP2, the scanner worked! Then I reinstalled SP2 and it still works. A little boring because we won't know what was arrested exactly-, but I guess that this method could have changed the location of the registry that you mentioned?
