  I had to reinstall Windows 7 Pro complete with a valid product key. However, Windows 10 was loaded before, so the drivers are not compatible. HP does not provide drivers for this model for W7, only 8.1 and 10.  I miss several pilots and have found no legitimate source to download.

  You are the very welcome.

  See if your laptop is a BIOS setting for USB to act as auto or emulation USB2 ports.

  You will not be able to install all drivers unless you can read the USB key.

  The other thing you can do is to run this tool on your installation of W7 media and reinstalling W7.

  This tool should load the usb drivers 3.  There is a Readme on the link to find out how to use.

  You must run the tool on a PC with W10 or W8.1.

  If you still need the missing drivers, follow these steps:
  1. in the run box, type devmgmt.msc.
  2 unknown devices would be listed as such and plotted with a yellow question mark.
  3. Select the unknown device or any other device you need of drivers and right-click to access the properties.
  4. in the Properties window, click the Details tab and select Device Instance of Id or hardware ID from the drop-down.
  5. an alphanumeric string like this PCI\VEN_1217 & DEV_7130 & SUBSYS_012F1025 & REV_01\4 & 6B16D5B & 0 & 33F0 is the marker for the identification of the unit.
  6. Please provide this number so we can offer you the appropriate driver.

  I do not recommend to use a scanner driver programs. Frankly speaking, I don't think these applications to not leave anything in the operating system of your laptop.

  Try to install the drivers I provided links to and let us know how it goes. Check in Device Manager to make sure that there is no device with the yellow exclamation points. Yellow exclamation points means that no driver is installed.

  I have a HP 2000 on which I just installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The wireless and ethernet drivers were not recognized by default, so now I'm in the quest of trying to find the right drivers for it.

  I tried a bunch of drivers associated with HP 2000 laptops, but since there are at least 3 different manufacturers - atheros, ralink, realtek - I was a bit confused and none of them seem to be recognized.

  I was able to extract the product number of the laptop to better refine my search, but searching on the HP support page, I get redirected to a laptop (HP g6) that does not look like mine... so still a bit consufed.

  Open the Device Manager. Locate a device without driver installed. Right-click on it and select Properties. We need is the character string PCI\VEN to correctly identify the device. The following image is an example that shows the tab and the drop-down list, you select. Do the same for each device and post it here.
