  Hello, I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7 Professional and a validity vfs300 fingerprint sensor.

  In Device Manager, the biometric device displays fine without problems in the form 'Validity Sensor.

  My problem is:

  I have DigitalPersona Personal Software updated to version 4.11.3825

  (the most common starting from 04/05/10) and it will not detect the validity sensor.

  Also, the choice of the biometric device under the Control Panel does not exist.

  Honestly, I wouldn't even need DigitalPersona if Validity Sensor was able to appear in Control Panel of Windows 7, but I can say that this new feature is half baked.  I guess it's bad drivers.

  After many days a lot of work, I finally found the solution for VFS301 of a validity sensor works with Digital Persona on Win 7 64 bit because it is supposed to.

  NOT the drivers INSTALL WBF all sites or drivermax... These drivers allow only logging in Win7 and no website, sign in.

  (1) first of all UNINSTALL all software and the DDK (Driver validity)...

  Make sure that also go to the control panel =>-online Validity Sensor Device Manager

  UNINSTALL the sensor and check "erase the software driver for this device.

  (2) then make sure you REBOOT

  (3) DOWNLOAD and install validity of HP drivers

  FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp48501-49000/sp48509.exe

  (4) REBOOT AGAIN... it is important

  (5) Download Digital Persona worm 4.11.3805 the link below

  (6) RUN the Setup.exe

  When it asks to install the driver for the fingerprint reader (the first dialog box you get when you run setup.exe)

  DO NOT click on INSTALL

  Let the installation window because it is...

  (7) open the Explorer windows by pressing win + E

  8) go to

  \AppData\Local\Temp\username C:\Users\

  Click the "Update" column to sort the latest updated files first in the list

  You will have a folder with {05B54AFA-28C6-4FED-A0E6-3F235641DA1D }<============= example="" only="" it="" will="" be="" different="" on="" your="">

  Go to the folder and you will see some ini files with a file named 'drivers.prq fingerprint reader.

  Open "fingerprint reader drivers.prq" in notepad.exe

  Delete all lines of text in the file 'fingerprint reader drivers.prq' and save the empty file.

  (9) back to the Digital Persona installation dialog box referred to in point 6

  Now, click on INSTALL and let it install the software

  He will open the same file again and continue with the installation...

  When it asks to RESTART, click YES

  (10) after the REBOOT, the fingerprint reader works without a hitch.

  I downloaded the driver for validity on the site, but does not have my fingerprint reader. When I was running the previews started it worked and I was able to use Windows Hello. But now with the full version, it does not work. Is there an updated driver or one other device that might work?

  Scenerio 1

  You have HP SimplePass installed - and you didn't say whether or not it does - AND you run (a version of) the original program of the series 6 HP SimplePass (delivered) installed with your computer.  This series of the program may, or may not, to run in your new operating system Windows 10.

  I've read the claims of one of the members who series 6 HP SimplePass, i.e. HP SimplePass probably version 6.0.100.276 - runs in Windows 10.  I can't verify this is the case.

  How?

  Replace the existing driver of validity:

  • Uninstall - do NOT delete the driver from Device Manager
  • Reboot (restart) the computer and connect
  • Make sure your sign Options defined in the laptop settings

  If your series 6 HP SimplePass program does not itself, i.e. the program starts and then berms, the start screen starts / stops / flashes / freezes, then you can try:

  • Hard Reset / forced Reset
  • 'Fix' the program SimplePass (programs and features)
  • Tryoverloading the program, that is, install the program on top of itself without removing the current program from the computer.

  You have been under series 8 HP SimplePass.

  There is a new program series 8 HP SimplePass compatible Windows 10 available:

  sp71729 HP SimplePass V8.01.46has 32/64 bit W7 - W10

  How?

  Replace the existing driver of validity:

  • Uninstall - do NOT delete the driver from Device Manager
  • Reboot (restart) the computer and connect

  Download and install the new series 8 HP SimplePass program

  • The package will probably download in your downloads folder > > double click to install
  • Reboot (restart) the computer and connect
  • Make sure your sign Options defined in the laptop settings

  Scenerio 3

  A strange combination of other factors are not

  In all cases, you want to reinstall your driver validity sensor.

  You can probably use the Driver for Windows 8.1 you already have:

  validity sensor V4.4.234.0 Win8 sp58900 - Win8.1

  Logon Windows native 10

  Even if you do not use HP SimplePass - or if you have never used and don't even have it installed - once you have reinstalled the driver validity sensor, you could check / settings / manage your PC settings > accounts > Sign-in Options

  Native Windows logon can you logged on to the computer with your fingerprint - up to now, it cannot connect to Web Sites.

  HP does not like the answer, but the pilot Valdity of fingerprints HP is not 10 compatible windows and unless they update, you will need to use a work autour... This has been reported in many messages of the forum

  This incompatibility has been confirmed by the support technology windows 10 after many sessions online

  1. download the Lenovo driver pack (Yes, I know that's not HP but it works... it is the Synaptics Windows 10 pilot and Sysnaptics now has Validity Sensor)

  2. go to Device Manager and open your biometric... remove the driver completely from the computer by using the Properties tab

  3 re-boot... If this biometrics again in Device Manager it means that there is another version of the pilot sensor HP validity on the computer... continue to do this uninstall/remove one by one until the biometric device is no longer displayed and you see an icon of material not identified on the menu tree

  4 charge/start the Lenovo driver package

  5 restart the computer

  6. go back to Device Manager and click on the device icon unidentified... go to the update / add a tab driver under the tab properties

  7. the driver package should appear in the laod of my computer... load the driver lenovo... you have now a finger print reader which shows as a Synaptics device

  8 restart the computer... you have now full use of the fingerprint reader in Windows 10 Hello (who will now appear as magically your accounts authentication option... you may need to set a PIN for Bonjour to work... some need some don't... you can do this first before doing the trick with the driver... I think that win 10 wants a PIN in place before allowing access to Hello)

  now, I deleted an old generation of win10 and do a new install with the latest version

  Unfortunately I forgort to cancel the registration of the fingerprint I had entered with this old win10 - so now this finger cannot be used
  to be entered for the new win10 (or any other system)

  is it possible to reset it completely (clear all the fingerprints for all systems) the fingerprintscanner out of one of my systems running or to cancel the registration of the
  Fingerprints for this system, which does not exist anymore on my portege?

  The fingerprints are stored on the fingerprint sensor and you will need to follow the instructions of this Toshiba document to remove your scans of fingerprints.

  I have laptop with fingerprint sensor, but I checked the document of the user s manual for Portege R200. Please see page 62-64. There are good explanation how to use it.

  Automatic driver update programs often fail, and when this happens, the results can be a nuisance
  to a disaster. Manual update of the pilots is my preferred method.

  Maybe need of these:

  This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: (this is not an automatic update of the driver
  It just allows you to easily see information on the drivers of program.)

  -Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
  each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.

  Greetings and blessings. My Sony Xperia Z5 (regular version, not Compact or Premium) works perfectly, as expected in almost all directions. I have a couple of fingerprints recorded, which I use to unlock my phone. However, for some reason any, whenever the device is locked (i.e. smart lock detects the phone has been set) when I try to use my fingerprint to unlock the phone, it is read correctly, but it brings immediately to the top of the code PIN/pattern/password entry screen. This happens every time if the phone is locked. I want to emphasize that the fingerprints are not read correctly, because the phone vibrates again agrafter an incorrect audit.  I tried to restart the phone and changing the ways of unblocking without result.  If it is relevant, mainly lock the phone using an Assistive Touch application.

  Should it behave the same way, if you lock your phone by pressing the power button, or if test you it in safe mode?

  If the screen is locked or disabled using a third-party application, you can not unlock your device by using the fingerprint sensor. This is caused by the demands of strong authentication of the smart locking feature in Android 6.0 and works as expected.

  I suddenly can't open one of my docs of numbers. I get a msg "'name of the doc' document is not valid. The index.xml file is missing.  I literally had the open document this morning without problem, closed, tried to reopen and now I get this msg... all in the same session of the computer. It began not after an update or anything like that, right in the middle of a session of the computer.  You seem to affect all the docs of numbers.  I can't open an any of them now.  I am running OS X El Capitan Version 10.11 and numbers 09, Version 2.1.

  The case usual this message, it is that the document has been opened in numbers version 3.xx, which converts it into a new file version that uses the file index.xml internal requested by Numbers ' 09.

  You have 3 numbers installed on your machine? This file has already been opened in this application?

  The file was saved to iCloud or opened by the iOS version numbers or numbers for iCloud?

  Recommended 'cure' is to open the file using the 3 numbers, then save as... or export to format Numbers ' 09. As a result, remember numbers to quit smoking (v3) - menu numbers > numbers to quit smoking; by clicking on the red light closed the file, but doesn't end numbers. So avoid open numbers files by double-clicking on the file itself.

  Instead, start Numbers ' 09 (v2.3) and open the file in the application.

  I found that my Norton Toolbar had been disabled so I enabled it. When I tried the site it worked. Go figure.
