• HP Photosmart 8750: HP printer Photosmart 8750 updated the drivers/software

I bought a HP Photosmart 8750 printer when I was running Windows98 and never installed it. Since that time, we have a computer that is running Windows Vista Edition Home Premium (32 bit) and a laptop under Windows 10 Home (64-bit). Recently I tried to install the printer on the two systems only to find out that HP has stopped support for it. Can someone help me find updated drivers/software or am I have to switch the printer during a yard sale?

Thank you for your time.

Hello @GMan46,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are trying to install your HP Photosmart 8750 on your computers running Windows Vista and 10 operating system.

Because it is an older model of printer, you will need to install the software that you are using the driver integrated in Windows. This is not guaranteed, but may work for you.

Start here: installation and using the built-in Windows print driver

• Satellite C855D-11N and W7 x 64-drivers, software and support

Hello

I bought recently a new Satellite C855D-11N 00F004FR PSC9WE. I want to upgrade the operating system and install from scratch W7 x 64 Ultimate or professional in English.

To prepare for installation, I tried to find drivers, software and support for this model on the father and eu.computers.toshiba - Europe.com, but he doesn't note that I can find on this model. The closest match is the model C855D - 11 X.

However, I register the product and this model is properly identified with S/N.

I also watch on www.csd.toshiba.com, but all C855D models have different names in "TS."... ».

I'm a little surprised, but I remember having this problem with my older Satellite A210-17 X when I bought and replaced Vista with XP. Is it normal for 'weird' type of computers sold in France?

If anyone knows where to find all these drivers, software, documentation, and specifications for the C855D-11N?

Thanks in advance

Kind regards

Eric

• Need help to uninstall COMPLETELY HP drivers & software pc under Win 7 fm

I have difficulties with completely remove and uninstall the drivers HP and my Dell Inspiron 830 software. I am running Windows 7.

I tried several times to use the uninstall under programs and applications feature in Windows. This seems to remove applications from the list, but HP Update dated 07/07/10, 2.97 MB, in size 5.002.006.003 version will not remove. In addition, my system keep trying to load SmartWebPrinting at various intervals.

I have downloaded and run the uninstall utility (it runs 4 times as indicated) but still have the same problems.

Please let me know what I can take to remove completely this software from my machine, including registry entries, startup services, measures specific and/or all what I need to do to get it OUT of MY SYSTEM! Thank you.

• Bootcamp installed Windows but not the drivers software.

I use BCA 6.0 on my new MBP (early 2015), that's why I decided to post a new question. I've seen this problem with other people, but if it's 5 BCA it is a simple support, download and install via USB. Windows installs correctly and I can use a select statement to be little (without gestures trackpad, bluetooth keyboard) but I have no internet to fetch updates. I downloaded a software support called Brigadier recovery tool, but it requires an internet connection that I have not the driver for. I also tried to use the BCA 5 drivers but it says "this version of Boot Camp is not designed for this model". Is there anyway that I can get around this problem?

Brigadier general can be run on the side OSX or Windows. You can also download the drivers from BC using BCA on OSX.

• Drivers & software issues

I'm back on a HP laptop having spent recent years using a Dell Precision M4600 (which miss me it already).

I was hoping that HP would have improved their site to download drivers and software to provide more and better to help users identify the drivers there, but unfortunately it does not appear that much changed. Web site still leaves the user to determine what drivers and software apply to a particular computer.

There are a number of cases where if you look at the history of revisions for a pilot, for example, the Intel I217LM/V and I218LM Gigabit Ethernet Driver, there are versions of the driver available that are newer than the driver 'recommended '.

Here's what's on the Web site:

Version: 1.00 S (February 13, 2015)
Version: 12.12.80.19 a (December 8, 2014)

Improvements

-Provides improved support for Eve connected.
-Provided improved messaging when the system resumes from standby.
-Provides improved performance ultra-low-power (ULP) while the system is connected to or disconnected external audio cable.

Version: 12.12.50.7205 a (August 26, 2014)

Improvements

It is not clear why the revision history would show most recent versions of the drivers if they are not applicable, but if they are applicable, why the site recommend the latest version, instead of the version of August 26, 2014?

Intel and Nvidia have newer drivers available for network cards and graphics cards, respectively. Is anyone getting drivers for these devices from Intel or Nvidia?

HP has two applications, HP Support Assistant Software and HP SoftPaq Download Manager. Or the other of these applications provide a useful ability to keep drivers up to date?

Thank you.

To answer your question, yes you can absolutely download drivers direct newest on manufacturer (Nvidia or Intel etc) site if you wish. The drivers located on the HP site are those that have been tested to work specifically with the HP hardware, that's why sometimes, you might see a difference in newer versions.

I would certainly recommend Softpaq or HP Service Manager download Assistant to help keep your drivers up to date running. This will take a lot of the guesswork of whats required and will save you time from the obligation to keep checking the website for updates of drivers. You can even set downloads to happen automatically if you wish! I hope this helps to clear up some things and point you in the right direction. Never hesitate to give us a call if you need assistance with your Zbook to 866-625-1175.

If it's the Photosmart 1000, which uses the cartrdiges 45 # and #78 (introduced in 1998 about...) the driver Deskjet 970 should provide a good match for printing. Go to the printers, add printer folder, and then select the Deskjet 970.

• HP Officejet 5740: No drivers / software for Officejet 5740 on HP.ca

I bought this printer about 4-6 months ago - all the software has been installed and the printer worked very well.

I recently had to reformat my PC due to misconfigurations side by side paralyzed from my PC. Now I am looking for the HP website for the software and drivers and they are not there. In addition, HP still sells this device on their website!

How can they sell the device, but have not all drivers etc for it?

They have drivers for a printer that I bought there are well over 6 years. But not for a printer, I bought a few months ago?

Hopefully, it is a problem with the site Web doesn't show things correctly, but if the drivers are not available, while they are still selling the material, something is totally wrong with that.

Hi DerekLasenby,

As you use a third-party program on the computer and we are not aware of its functions, this is why we cannot guarantee its operation. You will need to proceed at our own risk.

• Clean the OS install on HP Compaq dc7800p CMT - which drivers/software for HP?

Gentlemen.

I decided to first try the road at low prices and to order a recovery disc Vista professional instead of a copy of Win7 for my HP Compaq dc7800p CMT with Intel Core Duo E6550 2.33 GHz processor, 1 GB of DDR2 800 MHz RAM and HARD drive retail 80 GB sata.

I'll have to download drivers and software from HP and there is such an astonishing array of software available for this model I don't know really what to download and what I can let it slide.

This is designed to be a professional computer maintained by computing professionals, but I just want what he as a general-purpose computer "ordinary".

Now I tell myself that I should get certainly all drivers because they are strictly based on the material and will also apply to my needs to those of the original unit office drone was designed for. I just discovered, in cases where there is more than one choice of material, what advice or feature of this particular machine has to obtain the correct driver.

But sometimes to wonder if, as Vista will be installed on a HP reinstall drive, has the disc still a library of drivers HP to replace the more generic drivers that can come from a MS retail disk, which makes it unnecessary for me to download drivers HP. I doubt it, but it is best to ask.

The BIOS is less obvious. I think that there is a BIOS version that is newer than the one currently on this machine (786F1 v01.04). I've heard several philosophies on the BIOS updates: one is, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it. " Just replace the BIOS if there is a problem (s) it might lessen. The other school says you should always have the latest version of everything, even if it not is not the current problems. So, should I get the latest version of the BIOS?

I have no idea what ' ME ' designated operational entities and firmware if I should worry about this.

Also less obvious is the software designed for increased security, seamless integration with an enterprise network and generally make it easier for the IT guys earn their salary. I don't know what, if any, utility most of these things would provide in my situation. If there is no hardware on the system which would "complain" If a particular piece of software was not installed, then for the stability of the system, I do not want to have even if I never use it.

I know I ask much, here, but Paul Tikkanen in response to my initial post on this computer, mentioned a few BIOS settings that may be to my advantage. I'll use these suggestions and all that more that can take this machine more pleasant to work with my circumstances.

Sorry... Just one thing. The descriptions I've read of this computer say she a dial-up modem 56 built-in of k, but it is referred to as a 'soft' modem It applies to a sort of virtual modem that exists only if the driver for it is installed? When I ran HP Insight Diagnostics, a sort of device LAN has been entered, but not modem. I have a dial-up modem, believe it or not. I just downloaded the SP3 for Vista and it took about 21 hours! This is designed to be a professional computer maintained by computing professionals, but I just want what he as a general-purpose computer "ordinary". Here is the technical reference Guide for your computer. It has all the information you might need. In some sections, it has all the models listed. Just look at the CMT.

• Cannot install drivers/software for AOI C4599

I just bought an of C4599 all-in-one printer at the end of December. I have fresh installed XP in the past two weeks. Thru auto update, my version of XP's SP3, version 2002. I have set up the material part (installed ink and ran through the alignment). Now, I try to install the drivers and software. I put the CD. It auto run to a simple menu, where I clicked on install. During step 1, he froze about 15% complete. I left it alone for about 20 minutes, when I came back to her, she was still frozen in the same place. I hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and attempted to stop the installation process. I could finally kill him after a few failed attempts. Since then, I can't restart installation. I was watching via Add/Remove Programs, I have looked through the list of processes and don't see anything that stands out as a "HP" program or a process. My CD player is set to autorun, but this disc is not, I tried to launch the "Setup" program after exploring the CD and it will not work. The printer is not connected to the computer again (as advised in the quick set-up guide). Please tell us how to recover from this problem and complete the installation.

I had similar problems with the 6310. The FAQ had me uninstall all HP software and change the startup with msconfig (even if the start was not a problem for me). I've always had problems, so I downloaded the drivers on the site and was able to install successfully. Now my problem is trying to get all software application. I hope this helps some anyway.
