Drivers Win XP Pro and install a command of Qosmio E10

Hello
I recently bought Qosmio E10 in Korea. The OS is Korean Win XP Home. I would like to change, so I guess I have two options:
1. get a restore in English CD. But I read that Toshiba has the strange rule do not give the CD of restoration of another language. I wrote to them, they answer for now.
2 install Win XP Pro myself (I have only this license). In this case, the question should be able to get all the drivers I need. I found good drivers in several places:
On http://www.toshiba.co.kr, but I worry that these drivers are for Korean XP.
The other place is http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp
In this place, most of the drivers is for Media Center Edition. There are drivers for XP Pro, but they are not so many and there is no order of installation. There is for example, no NVidia driver, this driver is available for the media center. Maybe I can use Media center drivers on XP Pro?

So my question is: do I have to use drivers and and what order to get a good working XP Pro. It would be good to know where to download QosmioUI. I found the Linux player and I install it, but I also want to have the drive in Windows.

Hello

As far as I know that the software is delivered on laptop and if you buy a laptop, you automatically buy OS and license for use. This means that you can not order a DVD of recovery on another language. Qosmio E10 comes with Windows MCE2004 SP1a.

The only possibility is to install the Microsoft Windows XP (full version, with or without MCE) operating system, and then install all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities separately.

For the English language you can find them on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com topic support & downloads.

Good bye

Please note that Windows 7 Release Candidate is a preliminary version of Windows and should not have has been used as a release candidate.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

As mentioned in the article, it is your responsibility to facilitate access to Windows 7 Professional reinstall media. He may be borrowing retail upgrade or full version of media or OEM System Builder.

You can use the following utility to download the ISO of Windows 7 Professional:

If what you bought is an OEM System Builder Windows 10 Pro license, then you can indeed buy Windows 7 Professional.

Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.

    Full version (retail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-Does not require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

    -Expensive

    Upgrade version (detail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

-Expensive, but less expensive full version

    OEM System Builder version:

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

There is nothing wrong to use it too, especially that all future versions of Windows will be full versions.

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? • Acer Aspire its problems after Win 7 Pro and the new installed HARD drive

I have an acer aspire 8735 laptop g-6502 which has recently undergone a WD 500 GB drive HARD failure. I replaced that with a 7200 RPM Hitachi 1 TB drive and given that I don't have a Win 7 original used a disk Win 7 Pro with an extra friend.

Windows 7 Pro and HARD disk installation went smooth. But now when I plug an HDMI cable to watch through my Marantz receiver, comes from the video, but I have to do manually the Marantz the default audio device for sound. When I unplug the HDMI, I must return to the parameters of sound and unenable Marantz and re - activate the Realtek audio.

I also have a few other questions:
    1. the touch volume control next to the numeric keypad does not control the volume more
    2. the keyboard key used to have a setting to display it. You can use two fingers on a tablet to drag the image to the screen bigger and smaller.

I looked the site of Acer and also used my drive Application and drivers to reinstall everything that looked related to these issues. When first, I installed Win 7 Pro I let Windows find the appropriate drivers. It worked for some things but not others.

After all this sw "HP Solutions Center 's" told me that the installation did not finish, so I uninstalled and retried twice, once the uninstall with the uninstall feature in the exe ' full functionality so & Driver "and once with the program control panel uninstall Uninstall System.  Same result after these attempts "not completely installed.

Can't believe a HP product on a HP product installation can be this darn difficult.

Do you have any help?     NB.

First of all, thank you again for further upward.   I really appreciate your time and efforts.  I successfully completed earlier and tested the installation.  Here is what happened.

I'm supposed to go again very carefully through your instructions and began uninstalling.  But as I went through this process, I came across problems of functionality - I mean, I could not get either the Windows uninstall or download of sw/driver uninstall function - nothing would happen.

Then I found (surprisingly) I own the original supplied with the notebook disks (I got this for my son as he was headed for duty in Afghanistan in early 2011).  I therefore decided to back up and reinstall Windows & apps.  But the DVD player would not read discs or discs, although Bishop device says it works correctly.  My son used a lot of music and movies and had trouble with it in Af.  So the original disks were not do me no good.  I tried to create a repair on my GoFlex drive disc, but it does not work I think because the file system is not NTSC (initials right?), but is the Master Boot Record (sounds like the FAT).

I discovered THE system BIOS before startup offered a recovery option - I used that and today tried to install it on the system and voila!

I really didn't want to go this route to recovery because I wanted to overcome obstacles and make it work as it should.  Stubborn.  But retirement is only 7-8 years of absence and I had not a lot of time - ha!

Now, I need to get a replacement DVD + RW and this laptop should be back to the original form, and the battery takes no charge so I guess it expired.  Since he does not need it, I have a pc to use so my wife can play Solitaire on the Pavilion.

Awesome support both by you and others in the forum.  I am very grateful that you are here and it helped me to overcome the problems.  I learned a little, installs windows and this laptop.  At first I had no idea if I did something wrong, had the wrong approach, or what.

Thanks again - I cannot exactly call your work a solution, but I was at the point where the complete reinstallation was the thing to do.

  • Win 7 Pro 64 install, after good connection install & internet Microsoft Update hangs forever

A failed hdd on HP 6515 b required new hdd & install Win 7 Pro 64. After the proper installation & connection internet Microsoft Update hangs forever. Otherwise the computer works fine. We need .net updated for special application.

Unfortunately, this happens to a lot of people lately.

    Windows Update problem (new)

The following procedure applies in the case of installation (reinstall) Windows 7.  It does not apply to a usual, normal day.

I'm afraid that you will do the reinstall again.  Not a terrible penalty to pay.  Usually takes less than an hour.  Then immediately proceed to the next procedure.   It's strange, but it really does work and many people have proved it.

NEVER install anything other than Windows updates until your system is up-to-date.  Once you have the list update, install all together.  Installation of updates in batches is not expedite the process or do better.

    1. Before you begin to re - install, download (32 or 64 bit) KB3083710 and KB3102810 in advance and store on a USB
    2. Start and end the re - install Windows 7 SP1
    3. Before that the newly installed system can go online for the first time, Disconnect the computer from the Internet.  This chronology is essential.
    4. Install KB3083710 and reboot manually.
    5. Install KB3102810 and reboot manually.
    6. Restore the Internet connection, and run Windows Update as usual.
    7. After a few minutes, you should have a lot of updates to download and install.

    Thanks to Ken Morely

Note: When you search for the 64-bit version of these KB specify 64-bit.  The 32-bit versions do not say what version they are.

  • Win 7 Pro cannot install the upgrade of Vista 64

I bought Windows 7 Pro on the Microsoft.com site my Dell Studio 540 had Vista 64 when buying back about 4 years ago. I also bought the dics of Microsoft backup at the same time. The Win 7 Pro disc has the number 6/11 X 15-60651-03. I bought the UPGRADE, so I wouldn't have to start over with a new facility. What should I do to perform the UPGRADE?

When important changes to your computer, for example an upgrade, it is always recommended that you back up your system before installing a new version of Windows. In your case, you can upgrade to Windows 7 depending on the edition and the architecture of Windows Vista, you have installed. If you are running a 32-bit version of Vista and upgrade to a 64-bit (Windows 7 edition) version, you'll have a pure make install, it is the opposite case.

If you are using Windows Vista Home Basic or Premium consumer editions, you can only upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate. In addition, you can make downgrades, which means, if you are running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition now, you cannot downgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium. You perform logical upgrades:

Windows Vista Home Basic > Windows 7 Home Basic, Premium or Ultimate

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium > Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate

Windows Vista Business > Windows 7 Professional, enterprise or ultimate edition

Windows Vista Business > Windows 7 Enterprise

Windows Vista Ultimate > Windows 7 Ultimate.

I have Win XP Pro on the computer and I just bought the internal hard drive (2 TB). Now ask yourself if they are compatible?
    Would appreciate any help...

    Thank you very much!

If your motherboard supports SATA-II drives, then your new drive is compatible. Only two ways to discover are:

    (1) plug the drive hard and during the initial boot, enter the BIOS, the new disk appears.

    (2) open "Disk management", you can format the drive (which must be displayed as 1.8 GB in size).

  • I need to install flash player using Win 7 Pro and IE11?

    Hello

    Could I have a definitive yes/no answer, "do I need a flash player plugin when I use 64-bit Windows 7 Professional SP1 and IE11?

    I use IE11 v.11.0.9600.16476

    Flash v.12.0.0.38

I am as far as I can see, not problems to visualize anything. But Adobe insists I should use Flash v.12.0.0.43 and they identify my browser as Gecko.

I understand that Gecko is usually regarded as Firefox, but it is correctly identified as IE?

Windows with IE11 8.1 States that it is a plug-in less browser; but is Windows 7 with plugin IE11 less or not...?

    Very confusing!

    Kind regards.

Flash Player for IE is integrated by Microsoft with Windows 8 and 8.1 only... IE11 is a 'train accident", however. Almost NOTHING on the web can correctly identify if it can be identified at all.  As long as your current Flash Player works, I. by 'let a sleeping dog '. Until you NEED to update, no not with IE11.

With 8.1 win, this is the worst combination in the history of computing. Be happy that you still have 7.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft community forums!
I understand that you cannot join Windows 8 computer with Windows 7 wireless router. Provide us information.

    1. which antivirus software is installed on the computer?
    2. you receive an error message on the computer?
    3. don't you make changes on the computer before the show?

Follow the advice given and check if that helps:

    Method 1:
Try the suggestions from the link:
    Why I can't join a homegroup?
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/why-can-t-I-join-a-HomeGroup
Why can't I access my homegroup?
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/why-cant-I-access-my-HomeGroup

Refer to the steps from the links:

    Homegroup from start to finish
Temporarily disable firewall and antivirus on each machine.

Make sure that third-party firewalls are disabled. Sometimes antivirus programs also come with firewall software. These programs can block connections and help you connect to a homegroup.

Once this is done, run HomeGroup. See if it works.

    Enable or disable Windows Firewall
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
NOTE: turning off Windows Firewall may make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.
    Disable the anti-virus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks

If the problem persists, feel free to let us know. It is our pleasure to be of service.
