LaserJet P1005: LaserJet P1005 unintentionally print several copies after the decommissioning of 10 of Windows to Windows 7

My LaserJet P1005 trustworthy priinter was perfectly printing for a few years on my HP TouchSmart 300 running Windows 7 and connected via USB1. I have upgraded to Windows 10 for two weeks before deciding that he was turning too slowly. Subsequently, I have downgraded to Windows 7.

Since the downgrade, the printer has been printing several copies of all documents (eg. Word, Excel, Web pages). He prints a copy, waiting (the State indicates a copy pending) and continues to print 3 or 4 future COPs..

So far, I have tried the following:

1 deleted and reinstalled the printer P1005 driver.

2. guarantee that no multiple copies are selected in the options of the software and a printer.

3. you click Printer Sharing tab in the printer properties.

I know that's not a printer for the State of the art, but any suggestions on my printer P1005 back to normal would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see by your post that the printer prints multiple copies of the same document. I would like to help you today. Try to clear the record of spool and restart the spooler to print, see if this will help, clear how current Print queue in Windows Vista & Windows 7.

Please try the steps listed in this document, if the problem persists, HP printers - Print Jobs stuck in the print queue (Windows). They should help this situation. What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor?

I used this document to the network printers, you can try it to see if it will help with the USB connection, HP LaserJet Pro P1102w and printers P1606dn - printer continuously prints the same Print Job after it is installed on a network.

HP LaserJet P1005: HP LaserJet P1005 on Windows 8.1 installation (64-bit)

Brand new PC, new first Windows 8.1 Setup 64-bit with all updates, enabled. Local language is Serbian.

After installing Adobe Reader, 7-zip, CCleaner, Firefox, Chrome, and Gemalto OS card reader drivers are installed.

Not yet installed software antivrirus.

When the installation begins, after 10 seconds, it stops with the message (translated from Serbian):
"Installation software printer has stopped."

I think the exe crossed the State «Preinstall drivers»

I tried, but it helps not at all.

I said it's OWN Windows install anyway.

Problem is with the driver.

When I go to the Device Manager and do the "manual" installation from there

using the option "I drive" and select uncompressed ljP1000_P1500-HB-pnp-win64 - in .exe that it starts to install the driver but then it stops because of "file not found".

I have redownloaded the drivers as I noticed that there is no construction dated August 11, 2015:

and the problem is solved.

Of course, there was error in the previous generation of divers.

Windows Update 8.1 - now my LaserJet P1005 printer will not work (AGAIN!)

I have a HP laserjet P1005 printer, whose yeaterday was work happliy in window 8. I downloaded 8.1 last night and the printer no longer works!

With the window of printer status open (through the control panal windows) the details of the document are displayed briefly when you click on the button print. Nothing happens at the end of the printer. Theres nothing wrong with the printer as I can use it on a laptop without problem.

Driver Hp downloads link it "seem" a driver for the 8.1 but I think it's only version 8.0 wrongly labeled.

I am sick to death with HP. It took them more than 1 year to untangle a driver for Windows 8, and it blocks as soon as Microsoft tweek their BONES.

Does anyone have any ideas how this can be solved? HP seem to be abandoned as a fundamental value customer - I have not buy one of their products again.

Hi again - finally got it works!

I downloaded the software from the link... again. Still no joy

Remove the printer from the computer devices. Then downloaded the link... again. The computer had the printer appears as a device.

Then...

I started again from scratch:

Reinstalled the 'original' driver from the boot disk. (the driver from the link above must have still been present).

Printer on stream.

Very happy.

HP LaserJet P1005: LaserJet P1005 does not not with Win10

I upgraded to win 10 (from Win 7), after which my LaserJet P1005 continued to work, but not for all software. So I decided to search the drivers updated and found your support site with the basic package Driver for this printer.

I tried to install, but installation is stuck at first without an error message. That's when the trouble started, because now my printer not working not at all, and no pilot at all move no more.

A list of what I've tried so far is below.

Please help with new suggestions!

-Deleted all the facilities at HP, printer removed from Windows, all cleaned up registry, power off devices and rebooted the system. Then tried to install the base driver pack, but it got stuck again (after 10%).

-Authorized to everything again, as above and I tried to install the older driver full pack which worked partially after Win10 update. Installation got stuck. No action of the printer.

-At this point the printer is even not detected by Windows as a new USB device.

-Restored Win10 to the point just after the upgrade. The printer appears in Windows devices again, but it's offline and it stays that way, everything that I try (followed all the steps on your support site)

-Tried several different USB ports. The printer works fine with laptop Win7, so the cable, the printer and the power are very good.

-Then, I tried to run all the HP diagnostic tools (print and scan the doctor etc) but they tell me that this printer is not supported. In a desperate try, I installed the basic driver pack again and this time he DID install completely. However... She is still offline, and it stays that way.

-J' have an error (yellow triangle) in Windows device, where it is said: Quest Software USB key cannot start because configuration files or registry damaged. But I'm not sure that this has nothing to do with the printer. The printer, however, does not appear in the list of devices in Windows.

When the installation is stuck? (when he is looking for the printer, before searching for the printer)

Remove the USB cable plugged in, remove the printer from the Device Manager.

Under Universal Serial Bus Controllers look for yellow exclamation, impression USB Mass Storage Device Support point or anything with an unknown device. Right click and uninstall the device. If you still have problems please delete the old printer registry files.

Back up the registry first, before performing any of these steps. Back up the registry.

For computers not HP:

Press the key R and Windows, open the Run dialog box.

Type regedit and press OK.

Click on the + sign next to the following:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software and delete the folders of HP/Hewlett-Packard.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software, and delete records of HP/Hewlett-Packard.

For HP computers:

Press the key R and Windows, open the Run dialog box.

Type regedit and press OK.

Go to the editing tab, and then click search.

In the search box, type "laserJet P1005" and click Next.

Only some of them will be related to the printer, and they will have an idea in the description. When it finds one of the entries, and you have confirmed that it is related to the printer, within reasonable doubt, you can remove it by pressing Delete on the keyboard.

Once an entry is deleted, press F3 on the keyboard, which means find next.

Repeat the process until all entries printer 'laserJet P1005' are deleted.

Restart the computer.

Perform a clean boot on the computer and disable the Antivirus software. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Please describe in detail the best you can of what steps you have taken and what happens during the installation, I hope we can get this figured out soon. Thank you.

Windows 8 driver for LaserJet P1005 printer?

Does anyone know when driver Windows 8 will be available for the LaserJet P1005 printer? Says support page 'end 2012' - but here we are in 2013 and no driver. Hoping that HP Experts may provide information, or a temporary workaround.

LaserJet P1005 and Windows 7

I have just download and install the latest drivers for Windows 7 64 bit from HP for my Laserjet P1005 website. However I can't get the printer to work. I tried the basic so the star driver.

With the automatic configuration, I go to the step where it says connect my printer (the fundamental and comprehensive driver), but I never get an option to conitnue. When I connect / turn on the printer, I see the device in the control panel Windows 7 as an unknown device, but the installation wizard n no change to give me the next button. So I can't do anything.

When I try to install manually, I can successfully install the Windows printer c can be seen, but when I go to print, the first time, the light flashes right on the printer and after that, the printer does nothing. If I remove the task from the queue, when I go to print again, the work just stay in the queue and printer normal lighting.

Any1 have any ideas or are there problems with the drivers.

I think I found the solution.

I downloaded the latest driver on the HP site. I run the Setup, and as the instaler asked me to plug the printer I did. Of course, nothing happened.

I left the open Installer and downloaded this tool:

I run the tool, and still nothing.

Then, I opened the Device Manager and discovered the printer kisted under "unknown device". I cliocked on her right and updated the driver, I selected to check the drivers online as well.

The driver is installed in seconds and the installer HP always open recognized the printer, making me now to install the extended functionality.

I have a Bud pretty testpage my hand. All of this has worked. I don't think that the plugandplay recovery tool was essential to make it work. But I posted it in all cases.

Need to download the Mac (OSX Mavericks) for LaserJet P1005 driver

I visit a House that has a HP LaserJet P1005. I need to install the driver on my MacBook Pro using OSX retina (the latest version: Mavericks). The owner of the printer has an installation of the driver disc, but these new MacBook Pro no longer have an internal optical drive. So I need to download the driver on the internet. The printer is now out of warranty, not that it is important. The HP site says get the driver from Apple using software update, but Apple does not have it. The HP site says if Apple doesn't have the driver of former driver on your computer will work - but I don't have that. So I have not been able to find any support position that helps me. I tried to call the 800 number and was waiting on hold for half an hour before I gave up. Help, please! I need to print some documents in the next few days before the end of the year. Thank you.

I had windows xp and printer worked perfectly, now when I installed windows 7, I installed the drivers for printer as well, it worked perfectly, Test page was printed in success, but after a few weeks, I wanted to print something, but it wont print I have reinstalled the drivers, but now it can even print the test page something's wrong with her, I know it is complete with coz of ink, I bought a new cartridge (I thought that the problem was with cartridge) so this is how it looks like that check the screenshot

Print using the HP LaserJet P1005 printer wireless

I recently bought a new router billion integrated 7800NXL which has a print server to connect the printer to the router via a USB connection, so that it acts as a print server. I followed the guide to manufacturers on the configuration of the wireless print server and have installed the latest drivers for my Printer HP LaserJet P1005. The computer can establish contact with the printer through the router as it recognises when the printer has been disconnected. On further inspection using Wireshark, the computer exchanges information with the router using port 631 Internet Printing Protocol. When I go to print something for example through Microsoft Word, it gives me the ability to print on the Printer HP LaserJet P1005 but then in the printer spooler it says 0 documents pending and nothing prints. I have disabled all firewall and anti virus software and I am running Windows 7 64 bit. Any ideas?

The HP printer is designed to print USB, any 3rd party hardware that the use of the print server is depands on the capabilities of this material.

I suggest trying to update its firmware (version 2.32 a) which lists the bug fix next, which may be related to your issue:

Furthermore, in my experience, many print servers are supported printer PCL based and not on the host as the P1005 (printing language used by the printer).

I couldn't find any information on the guide of the user 7800NXL on this subject, this is something I recommend you to check with the manufacturer of the router.

After recently purchasing a new Mac with os x 10.6.4 my LaserJet P1005 now seems to lack some features that are available when I used it with my old Mac. The manual duplex option is absent and the printer utility that allows printing the info configuration and power state, a cleaning page and a demo page. With the new 'printer setup', all I get is info about the version of the driver and for the supply of levels "information not available".

LJ P1005 has built in drivers with the operating system, and there is no HP for Snow Leopard software, so there's no such thing as the 'extras' that you expect. As well as manual duplex printing. I did not have the printer installed at the time of my post and was not with my Mac.

I bought a used Laserjet P1005

When I made the first impression that I have seen that the impression was not good. I took a picture. As you can see there are several lines of ghost on the page.

Print quality is correct.

What could be wrong?
