Droid browser

I personally found that Chrome Beta is one of the best browsers for Droid Turbo. Chrome regularly kept crashing and thus would be Firefox, as they would not allow you to zoom in. Beta chrome still has this problem, but it isn't on all Web sites.

Yes, I wish I would have known that. A few days at first quite frustrating.

Your menu is a mess in all browsers, BTW.  See screenshot of FF23 with text increased.  It is unusable.

Positioning is the biggest single problem you have.  If you want a sensitive provision that works well in all devices, get rid of positioning.   Learn how to make better use of the floats and margins.  Or find a system of menus like this one (resize viewport to see how it works).

  • DROID: Android browser and Wordpress pages

When you read a Wordpress blog in the browser Android on the DROID, it seems that the page is adjusted to the width of the screen and will not zoom. I heard that the HTC Eris with multi touch can be able to zoom the Wordpress pages, although I didn't know myself. If someone can comment about the underlying technology, I would like to know why this is so. Thank you and happy Thanksgiving!

For at least the first, there "mobile browsing" enabled. If you go at the bottom of this page, you can turn it off. In this case, the page will be displayed exactly as it would with a PC browser, and you can resize the pane.

Well Yes, the second is the same. This is a page of active mobile site. You're not Explorer in the same way as if you were going to a non-mobile site.

  • Firefox crashes constantly on my htc droid incredible

I have a HTC Droid Incredible and use firefox for some time. all of a sudden, when I try to use firefox on my phone, it opens up for a few seconds then the screen become white and then takes me to a page that says that FireFox is crashed and allows me to restart or close the program. Regardless of the closing or restarting, the computer always freezes. I uninstalled and reinstalled FireFox to see if that would fix it but it's not. My other browser works very well. Does anyone have an advise how to solve this problem?

    You have restarted the phone?

  • V Cast Media Manager to load in the browser when connected usb

When I connect my Droid 3 to my computer via usb, it automatically opens a tab in my browser, V Cast Media Manager from Verizon. How to disable this option? Thanks in advance for your help.

In the section more "like this" after posting my question, I found a thread in the forum Droid 2 who responded to my question: right-click on the icon of the bike in the bar computer system status, click "what device connect", then click on "do nothing."

  • Impossible to get browser to run

New smartphones, Droid 3 is our first. I am able to connect to my WiFi at home, but when I press the browser application I get not available web page and list that the www.google.com/m?client=ms-android-verizon&source=android-home may be temporarily down the answer. Also any network requiring an app says "unable to connect to the network. I hope it's a simple fix. I hope I do this correctly, as I said, I'm new to smartphones last cell phone upgrade has been 8 years ago, so please talk about the essential for me LOL

OK, your router is on the latest firmware and it should work. can you try disabling any security you have on it and then retest the D3?

  • Confused about release of ICS DROID RAZR MAXX

I thought that ICS was supposed to be released on the 4th, but now I see that they are always the phase devolopment, and that there is a test of current soaking. What are some realistic timelines of DROID RAZR MAXX running ics?

Im just impatient, anxious and agitated... lol

    anyone?

Currently, there is no other than 'soon' time if the ICS beta ran last weekend.

I guess without any support you mind, that provisional impregnation test pour.181 ends this week, and soaking ICS should start in the coming months, ou.181 will be released to the masses of official.

That being said, that the ICS must theoretically be released in the coming weeks 3-6. Suffice it to say that because I'm really looking forward to there makes me suffer, I ran a beta ICS on my DHD when I was with AT & T.

I'm also looking forward to the increase of the lapdock feature that comes with 4.0. * because they use ICS in tablet, with a custom rather than a full custom OS browser. relieved just to the top of a lot of space in the phone for storage.

  • No e-mail error with Outlook Express and Verizon Droid hotspot sending phone

Outlook Express using only email for years with dialup... no problem.  Now, using verizon droid phone hotspot to access the internet and can not send emails (can receive throughout the day). Help Verizon sent me say here that it is a question of Microsoft based on Error 0x800CCC0E.  Here is my error message: the connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.triton.net', server: 'mail.triton.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, Socket error: 10054, error number: 0x800CCC0E.

That's my next step, I guess.  If I can get a fix, I'll post.  I think I should just switch to web e-mail and say the hell with it as the hotspot works awsome for web browsing... may be the easiest option in the long term.  Thanks for your help so far, Bruce

  • Moto Droid incompatible vibration

Droid, stock 2.1, verizon - the vibrate function has become intermittent.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  It's all THE features, phone call, haptic, SMS messages, virtual keyboard typing, browsing the used back and menu keys still vibrate for me, now that sometimes and only weakly sometimes.  I downloaded a "massager" to test.  with different profiles to vibrate, continuous, short pulse, etc., I can start a vibration model short pulse and he could go for always vibrant, could vibrate twice and stop, totally unpredictable.  If I type or banging the phone, which seems to start working, if only for a little while.  No, I have no "bump" installed apps.

Any ideas or is the phone vibrates motor/bad connection?  I'd hate to have VZ email and have to wait 2 weeks to get a new or get fixed...

It sounds like it could be a hardware problem, but she needs troubleshooting.   Try this, turn off the Droid. Open the physical keyboard touch menu and hold the button while you press the button the power.  This will start your Droid in 'safe mode '.  When you are in safe mode, it will say 'safe mode' in the lower left corner of your screen.  Run your tests of vibration again, if it works now, you have a third-party application, interfering with the functioning of your Droid or possibly a file corrupted.   If she continues to not vibrate, back up your applications and data (using MyBackup from market) and do a factory data reset.   If it vibrates now, you can re-download MyBackup from market again and restore your applications and your data.  If it still don't vibrate properly, call the line of national support of Verizon and they will send you a replacement by Fed - ex.      -Dan

  • Windows 7 64 bit, cannot install the driver for bluetooth devices for my Motorola Droid Razr periferical

Windows 7 64 bit, cannot install the driver for bluetooth devices for my Motorola Droid Razr periferical. When troubleshooting try to apply the fix, after trying, it ends with a message this problem "not set"...

I finally found the help on my own. Download and install Windows Mobile Device Center. After installation, you'll swear that nothing has been installed, but there is a. The download says it's for Vista, but it also shows Winkdows 7 under system requirements. This is from the download I used.

Go in Device Manager for each item under the heading Bluetooth with an asterisk, double-click it. Click the tab drivers, then put to update driver. Browse my computer..., let me pick from a list... Under manufacturer, select "Microsoft Corporation". Under model, click on "Windows Mobile-based device support", and then click Next. Click 'YES' in the driver warning window. Windows will now update the driver, and he will tell you, he did it with success!

This solved my problems. Good luck with yours.

  • BlackBerry smartphone browser does not open and the screen is frozen

I got my flashlight for about a week and it is very buggy. First of all it sometimes hangs when I try to open the browser. Other programs work perfectly once I hit escape a few times, but the browser does not work again until I upgrade or downgrade the OS. I keep having to go down and upgrade that takes forever to get my browser to work. Also the phone goes into sleep mode, even though I have it set to 20 seconds for backlight turns off.  Third problem I have with the phone is they continue to tell the browser how advanced is that it will not always support the Flash even if Blackberry has partnered with Adobe. I regret buying a torch instead of a droid.

Start by doing a battery pull - with the machine on, remove the battery and wait 15 to 30 seconds before reinserting.  Then just wait for the device to reboot.  This should solve at least some of the problems you encounter.

As for Flash, it is supposed to happen, however it is simply not yet available.  I hope that Adobe will have this ready to go shortly.  As for Flash on the Droid, as a heads up, I heard not so positive things here.  Apparently, there are a lot of bugs, and it is far from an ideal configuration.  I hope that Adobe will fix Flash for Android and I hope we'll get a decent work for the BB version before long.

    I hope that info helps!

  • Sorry! The browser ask...?

Can someone please try to explain why this is happening and, hopefully, how to fix? Feel like I'm trying to learn the basics (forget the bells & whistles) I move forward 1 space then I get beat out of nowhere by sliding me 2 backward. The new issue I'm having with my Droid is as follows. I'm going on a web page, I wait until it has fully load/open itself (as I do faithfully each & every time). If it turns out to be of interest and has so many things to discover I'll proceed to save it by clicking on the 'star' in the upper right of the web page that I have several times in the past. Then I would see a message letting me know that indeed it was recorded. When I went to visit the sites I had saved, the process would be to click; --> Bookmarks menu and navigate through what had been saved. Once I sexercent, I would click on it and VOILA! I must say, I thought it was one of the neatest things that I had discovered my own since buying my Droid. Learning that shocked many really the stew out of me, but hey it worked then who am I to complain, huh? In any case now, no matter what I do... This large pop-up window appears which reads: "sorry!" Navigator (process com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try agaIn. "Foreclosure <--or-->report (giving me the choice of the two in order to close the pop-up window). Any cure for this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, P.S. ~Mrs.Gee OMGee of... I almost forgot to ask another question that came to mind! (Sorry, I pray that I haven't exhausted my welcome up to this point?) Who knows if and can share, is it possible to create & name "folders and Sub folders" in the area where the 'bookmarks' are registered? It would be great to be able to aggregate all things (which are similar) in a folder and subfolders therefore instead of putting everything together that having to scroll through a lot of sites one saved in order to find the specific one you are looking to go back and visit? You know how you can do in Internet Explorer (I can also do this in AOL. I still wonder about Gmail or any other messaging system?). I don't know maybe there are others in the sandbox of Droid who like to know as well.

I think you should try to empty the cache of browser.  Press Menu-> settings-> Applications-> manage Applications->Menu->Filter->All->Browser->Clear cache.  Restart the phone and now try to use the browser again.  If this does not work, you can try to erase data that sits just above the button clear cache in Manage Applications.  Before trying that are, of course, that you install an app bookmark backup as it will erase all your data in the browser, such as bookmarks and history.  Now to test it and see if that helps.  I hope it works for you.
