Drop-down list in version 4.2

I want to have a menu drop-down I'm continuing a choice field of object... with many choices... but the choices appear as a single horizontal list... When I press on the bar space choices change... but I don't have a drop-down menu effect... why... can someone tell me how to do this... ?

choiceField = new CustomChoiceField("",choices,defSelect,Field.FIELD_HCENTER);

choice is an array of strings, defSelect is the default choice to be selected and center align...

Kind regards

Kaddy

  • "Data dashboard" version 2.0 list drop-down list seen only "one, two, etc.» Instead of the text Enum

    I am currently using the new data on an iPad dashboard 1. I'm coding in suite developer Labview 2012. I found that switches work very well when it is associated with a shared variable. I finally managed to get the drop-down list to control a shared variable of data type typedef/enum. This control very well within the Labview program, but on the dashboard of data drop-down list shows only the "One" "two" etc... instead of the text 'This' Enum 'As' 'Other' I can write back to the dashboard with a text conversion of the enum to the dashboard and place it in a display of string over the fall down. While this gives the operator a display of the current Typedef/enum, it is not very intuitive. They must select 'One' to view 'This' "two to display 'Than' etc...

    How can I get the dashboard of data drop-down list control to display the text of the enum instead of "one" "two" etc?

    I think the point was that your question belongs to this other forum, not the forum of LabVIEW.

    OK, I know where is the problem now. I have an Actual Windows Manager program changes windows rendering, so comboboxes firefox window do not work.

    The heart of the problem is the ability to place windows to some monitor at startup, it crasges comboboxes.

  • Why don't point in the drop-down list address not remove when selected and click on remove

    on version 14.1 - to remove an item in the drop-down address, said the point the address line the right click and select delete - this clears the address line but point remains in the drop-down list and does disappear not - why point unclear when you return to fall down to check this

    I think that you need for the arrow down to the element, so it is highlighted, and then press DELETE.

    (I meant the keyboard delete key, you can't right click on the drop-down list).

    You can do one of the following:

    You need to update the following:

    • Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.0
    1. Check your plugin versions on one of the following links:

    2. Update to Shockwave for Director
      • NOTE: this is not the same thing as Shockwave Flash; This installs the Shockwave Player.
      • Use Firefox to download and SAVE the installer to your hard drive from the link in the article below (Desktop is a good place, so you can find it).
      • When the download is complete, exit Firefox (file > exit)
      • Locate and double-click it in the installer that you just downloaded, let the complete installation.
      • Restart Firefox, and look at your plugins.

    Problems with a menu drop-down does not not can be caused by an extension.

    Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

    I'm trying to get some combo boxes to have their entries populated by a text file. I have read many entries of forum on 'string []' property, but he refuses to work for me. I want the combo box is editable by changing the entries in a text file.

    Does anyone can beat this code into submission? I get this error message on a controller GPIB needing to be in charge.

    I've included the vi, the text file, I want to fill the combo box 'Version number' and that it should be.

    Tay

    You have several issues General, but here are the ones affecting your drop-down list box:

    1. In general, if you make copies of OR provided files, use new names.
    2. The VI you changed to read strings from the worksheet is bad DEFAULT.  You have the number of lines, by default 4 and start playback offset set by default to 132.  You get the error is because the file is not 132 bytes of data.  Definition of those to-1 and 0, repsectively will remove the error.  You should do this by opening the VI, change the value, then right-click and select "Data management"-> "Make current default value" for each of the two controls.
    3. Now, the VI you properly load the values in the file.
    4. There is no reason to replay the file whenever the user changes the value of the drop-down list box.  Read once at the beginning of the program.

                    if (contactPhoto.imageSource == "") {
                        contactPhoto.imageSource = "asset:///IMG/user_placeholder_blue.png"
                    }

                }
            }

    However, this feature is out just now all the available phone numbers and email addresses - for contact - to a text field, but I was wondering if it would be possible to output the list of individual options in a drop-down list instead of just their output in a text field?

    You will need to use ComponentDefinition and dynamically create each Option.
