Drop-down list retains the sign misspelled names. How to modify this list?

From time to time when you connect to a Web site, I type my user name. This is an example that I could type the first letter of a username and when the drop-down list appears, I accidentally miss the mark and click on new in the box. After realizing immediately what I did, I click on the input box again to highlight the letter I typed and start again, but I did so too quickly and the computer reads it as a double click. The dropdown now has recorded the entrance of the one letter that has been accidentally entered. Because of this and other mistakes, over time I find myself with a dropdown menu with several incorrect user names and a correct. How can I change this list to remove the mistypes and keep only the good ones, or clear the list completely and start again?

Follow these steps to delete the recorded data (form) in a drop-down list:

  1. Click on the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
  2. Select an entry in the drop-down list
  3. Press the DELETE key (on a Mac: shift + delete) to remove it.

  • Drop-down menu in the table of cells - how to develop across the width of column?

    Hello!

    A customer migrate their 2 400 forms of old JetForms as PDF (LiveCycle Designer) and would like to keep the same functionality, so that it is used in the old platform. However, some of the old tool features do not seem to be present in LiveCycle.

    Suppose that a drop down menu in a table cell, containing the elements whose lengths are larger than the column of the table. In JetForm, when you open the drop-down menu that spans the columns to display all of its content, do not cut the contents of the drop-down list.

    I tried this in LiveCycle, but the drop down menu gets cut and its content is limited to the column in the table (where the drop-down menu below) width.

    Is there a way to bypass this limitation, even if I use scripts?

    Thank you for all the ideas!

  • In Firefox 3.6.8 is there a way to see "typed urls" in the drop-down list address without icons and website names? I want to see are "typed urls" and nothing else.

    I want to see are "typed urls" in the drop-down list address. This is the way it has been for a long time. Now, you get some icons and names/info of Web site with the url. It takes too much real estate on the screen and makes it necessary to scroll through the drop-down list. This is a feature that I don't need. Is there perhaps something about: config that I'm missing?

  • Prevent the specific Web site to store the user name in the drop-down list

    I have a site that I connect to frequently. Their home page has a login field. If I double-click on this area, it shows me several login names to automatically fill the area with. I want to prevent Firefox (or other) to remember those login names, for safety because of my personal paranoia.

    I'm using Firefox 49.0.2.

    • I added this site to my list of blocking Cookies. New Cookies are not displayed to the top, when I connect.
    • I do NOT have the connections stored for this site (they were removed and new not appear when I enter a name).
    • Firefox does NOT show me the dialog box "do you want to remember?
    • I removed each stored in AutoComplete list in this field by using the 'shift + Delete' keys to select and delete the headings that appear when I double click on the field.
    • The list that appears when I double click is NOT specific to this site... or rather, the entries in the list seem to come from almost any site that I connected. For example, I have deleted all entries in this site, I worry; I have then is come to Mozilla's Support forum and tried connecting; I had to try several times; all of these names that I used on the login field Mozilla now appear in the list for the original site.
    • Curiously... If I hit 'back' after typing my name (causing the site to go to the next page), the name that I typed in the field seems NOT to remember. However, if I click on the button "login" next to the field after you type a user name, the name seems to remember.
    • Even if I disable 'Remember connections... ". "in Firefox, UN I enter this field to remember.

    A screenshot is provided the field of seizure and the drop-down list of names (which I deleted several times).

    I turn off history form of Firefox, so I don't know if this is specific to the site (such as the saved connections) or could possible appear on all sites with a named field in a similar way, which seems a little odd.

    If you clear history of Firefox form feature, is the unwanted suggestion stop appearing? You can do this on the preferences page, Privacy panel:

    "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox) > Preferences

    In the left column, click on privacy. On the right side, if you do not see "conservation rules: use the custom settings for history" go ahead and make that choice.

    Then you can uncheck the box ' Remember search and form history.

    When you return to the site and reload the page, the suggestions disappear?

    If you are referring to Internet Explorer, the option to erase the file names when you save the Web page is not available. • Form - enter the names of the State/province drop-down list

    Hello again,

    I use Acrobat Pro DC using a MC Pro and I want to create a list drop-down States and provinces on my form. After clicking Properties and then Options, is there a way to enter all state names at the same time instead of adding one by one? I know there are scripts out there, but I thought that I could create the list that I needed from the List of States - 50 AMERICAN States - Canadian Provinces - Australian States - Mexican States - Brazilian - States ListStates.co... and copy and paste them.

    I read on the drop-down lists, but I don't see that he offered to DC Pro. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Thank you.

    Yes, it's possible, but it takes using a script.

    The basic format of this script is:

    this.getField("DropDownName").setItems (["Alaska", "Alabama",...]);

    If you have the items in a text file or a spreadsheet and want to import at the same time you can use a tool like this, I developed, which can be purchased here: Scripts custom Adobe: Acrobat - items import from a text file to a combo box or a list box

    I also offer a free sample with all 50 US States file field drop-down list that you can copy and use in your own file.

    Hello experts,

    I use Adobe Forms in SAP.

    My question is, is there a any restriction for additem keyword in JavaScript?

    I mean, even if I use the keyword additem to add the name and value of a drop-down list, it adds up to 10000 files only.

    Please sugest

    A drop-down list is the bad INTERFACE design where an element can contain more than 100 entries. It is very good in tests, but absolutely unacceptable if the form must be used by a person busy doing their work. The choice of Acrobat forms are limited, but consider a list box. Despite this, there may be limits imposed by the system or the implementation.

    Better would be

    (a) stop filling after awhile the list and add an entry saying several elements not shown, running report or use better filter

    (b) be available for all filtering of course lists

  • Drop-down list box to choose a name and have just the first name see

    I have created a form for health care.

    I have a drop down box with names of doctors... their full names so that they are easily recognizable. And the following fields, then who will fill based on choice. However what I need is that, after the first and last name in the drop-down list is selected that only the name of the Dominican Republic first arises in the area which will be distributed through the file. Information is already using this Java:

    {Switch (this.) RawValue)}

    case "MD":

    Form1. Page1.Physician1LastName.RawValue = "Robert";

    Form1. Page1.Physician1Number.RawValue = "1111111111";

    Form1. Page1.Physician1Fax.RawValue = "2222222222;

    form1. Page1.ClientEmail.RawValue = "[email protected]"; ""

    Form1. Page1.Physician1Address.RawValue = "xyz suite."

    Form1. Page1.Physician1City.RawValue = "XYY Iquelqu";

    Form1. Page1.Physician1State.RawValue = "XZ";

    Form1. Page1.Physician1Zip.RawValue = "11111";

    Form1. Page1.Physician1NPI.RawValue = "111111111";

    Form1. Page1.Physician1License.RawValue = "ABBB111111";

    Form1. Page1.Physician1UPIN.RawValue = "A11111";

    Form1. Page1.Physician1Specialization.RawValue = 'internist ';

    break;

    }

    And works beautifully thanks to previous help everyone.

    Here is the example of the choices in drop-down list:

    Dr. Aaaaa Abb Accccc

    Dr. ranya Bbb Bccccc

    I like to choose:

    Dr. Aaaaa Aaaaa has

    and you select it it show only the first name in this area, so it can be properly treated by the rest of the fields.

    IE: Aaaaa (nothing else)

    I'm a horrible things like I just surf around until I find something that works and copy and paste and play until it works

    So please be specific:

    Java vs form: customer: choice and code...

    Thank you very much...

    Take a look at the attachment. The script assumes that the name is a string of three parts as Dr. Frank Burns. You can change it according to your needs.

    Form1.Page1.DD::exit - (JavaScript, client)

    If (this.rawValue! = null) {}

    var doc = this.rawValue;

    var i = doc.indexOf("");

    doc = doc.substring (i + 1, doc.length);

    this.rawValue = doc.substring (0, doc.indexOf(""));

  • connect two Drop Down list with the code name.

    Hello guys,.

    I have ' starting my LiveCiycle, I have trouble linking two fields in the drop-down list. How can I connect two fields drop-down list? For example, a user selector, the name of the professional and the other menu drop-down is updated with the code of work based on the choice of the name.

    Thank you.

  • The drop-down list schema lists (with the name/value pairs)

    Hello

    I'm looking for more information on creating a schema type definition that LiveCycle Designer ES will fill (fill in the name and value) of drop-down lists. For example, I have something like:

    < xsd:simpleType name = "RoleTypeCodeType" >
    < xsd:restriction base = "xsd:token" >
    < value xsd: Enumeration = 'ABC' >
    < xsd: annotation >
    < xsd: documentation >
    Aboriginal community
    < / xsd: documentation >
    < / xsd: annotation >
    < / xsd: Enumeration >
    < value xsd: Enumeration = "ADJ" >
    < xsd: annotation >
    < xsd: documentation > referee < / xsd: documentation >
    < / xsd: annotation >
    < / xsd: Enumeration >
    ...

    < xsd:minLength value = "1" > < / xsd:minLength >
    < xsd:maxLength value = "3" > < / xsd:maxLength >
    < / xsd:restriction >
    < / xsd:simpleType >

    This creates a list. I can bind this to a list field. However, of course, when I saw the pdf, my drop down list items in this area are just the three-letter code. I would get the descriptions associated with these articles (as shown on the connection tab) to be filled. The end result is that my list see 'Indigenous community', 'referee', etc. and when selected, return 'ABC', 'ADJ' in the XML during export.

    If list under the connection tab items are filled manually then this export works correctly. However, the list is generated during execution and dynamic. So nobody knows what the schema definition must be for the field in the list on the LiveCycle form to create the name-value pairs?

    Thank you

    John

    Hi John,.

    You will need to incorporate the schema, but you can reference the imported schema as they get integrated as well (there a bug in the designer when they were not integrated, but I think it crept in 8.0).

    In any case to refer to the imported schema you will need to loop though all schemas

    var

    schemas = xfa.resolveNodes('schema[*]');

    Will give it refers to all schemas, the fine loop them;

    for

    (var schemaIndex = 0; schemaIndex< schemas.length;="">

    So if these patterns have an id attribute (I don't think that you can refer to namespace attributes) test the value of the id;

    If

    (schema.@id is "whateveryourschemaidis")

    If there is no attribute ID and you cannot add a you might have to search for the type in each scheme, something like;

    var roleTypeCodeType is schema.xsd::simpleType. (@name is "roleTypeCodeType");

    If (roleTypeCodeType! == undefined)

    {

    ... load the values of the annotation.

    }

    Hope that helps but if you if you can post your schema (and it's imports), I could understand exactly the problem.
