  I had this problem for some time - the comboboxes in my Flex 4 application will not change to match the comboboxes dataproviders.  In other words, when a dataprovider for a ComboBox drop-down list of the combobox can always show the latest dataprovider data.  This problem is intermittent and inconsistent.  It also seems to be a problem for the itemrenderer comboboxes, inside the datagrids, when the datagrids are sorted, or when the datagrids dataproviders are changed.

  I tried to do various invalidate methods / validateNow() on the comboboxes and does not update the drop-down lists.

  Any help will be greatly appreciated

  All my favorite links IE disappeared after an incident of scamware "Windows Vista repair".  The Favorites folder was still intact under users //favorites, but each category subfolder icon and each subordinate link icon seemed blurred or indistinct.  I had to create a new subfolder for each existing Favorites subfolder and manually filled again with the links by clicking on each link in the old subfolder as an 'add to Favorites' IE in the new subfolder.  Now, I find the same thing with my photos.  I noticed that each user //Pictures icon subfolder and each file in the subfolder name icon is blurry, but when I create a new folder it is crispy. I also noticed that each listed fuzzy subfolder is noted as empty when the cursor passes over it even if each contains the original set of photos.  I don't understand how to recreate the photos under new folders.  Is there anyway to reactivate these files other than their opening, renaming and save under a new name?  My Corel Paint Shop does not recognize these subfolders fuzzy or blurry image files.  Any suggestions?

  I have w7 x 64 office services and tablet and writing are disabled.
  However, I see the shit 'hand with a pencil icon' in all the check boxes and drop down menus.
  It is not even recognizable on small boxes and is a total bore.
  I run my desktop PC with w7 x 64 for over a year and the symbol appeared after I've upgraded to IE10.
  I couldn't find an appropriate solution in the links provided in this thread, and I hope that it will be a good solution soon.

  Meanwhile, I think that I found the real cause.
  I had turned off the segue UI fonts during the day even when I updated to IE10.
  Strange as appears only in IE10 I assumed it it was due to the update.

  Hello stephericsson, this is probably a problem with hardware acceleration - please try to update your video driveror where this does not solve the problem, or there is no new version available at the time, disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > General.
