Dropped cell phone woman and now the DVD player does not work
On a trip HP Pavilion dv5000 of my wife was in the computer bag and was dropped off a rack (my fault). Now the DVD drive no longer completely in the case and has no work at all, will not open except by putting a paper clip in the exit hole. Someone instructions how to take this laptop model out just enough to reset the rear DVD player were it belongs and to check the connectors? Would appreciate any help.

First of all, apologize for my English, I'm french :)So my problem is that I would like to re - install everything on an A45-S250 using the recovery CD.
But the main problem is that the internal DVD player no longer exists.I try plugging in an external DVD drive, but the laptop won't start on it.

I see only one solution: you have to somehow use external DVD player and make it visible to your laptop. I try didn t, but I guess you need to start your laptop using WXP startdisc and load the MS-DOS driver for external device.
If you will have success to access external hard drive I guess that you will be able to start the recovery procedure. -

Migration has erased my Adobe CS5 and now the serial numbers does not work to reinstall
CS5 Web Premium worked fine on El Capitan until I migrated. Then he gave me the screen to enter the serial number of my product or purchase. I entered the serial number and he said that it was not valid for this product.

I may get paranoid, but the player made a weird noise the first time I start my pc and noticed that the drive is not play discs. It has burned or broken some how? Is it possible for me to confirm that apart from go to a store and pay someone to check this?

Need to reinstall Vista, but the DvD player does not work
Alright. That is the problem. I installed windows 7 on my laptop because a virus crashed my windows vista and the lost disk. After installing windows 7 my dvd player wouldn't even appear or open. As there is no power going to it. Before installing 7 worked well. I want to downgrade back to windows vista. I had an iso, mounted police and when installed would not let me because the car is not active or something. Went to disk management in the config of the admin and active player. That I reset. When starting it stops saying BOOTMGR is missing press ctrl alt del to restart. I don't know what else to do. Help, please.
Here's how to clean install Vista:
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Try a reboot.
Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolate a problem by using a different user account
If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account. Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

Hi, I have Windows Vista and I use a computer laptop Dell studio. When I insert a disc into my CD/DVD drive, the drive spins and it looks like it is about to start and makes the same noise start several times and then just stops. My computer does not record that there is a disc there. If I double click on the DVD drive in 'My computer' it ejects my disc and says "insert the disc in drive E".
I went on the 'repair' Microsoft online scanner and it told me that there is a problem, but he can fix it. In Device Manager, under CD/DVD-ROM readers I have Optiarc DVD +-RW AD - 7640S.
