Dual boot Windows vista 32 bit with win 7 64 bit

Is it possible to dual boot

Windows Vista Business 32-bit
with
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
I do not want I want to have two operating systems
Now, I have a 25 GB Partion ready for Windows 7, I only have Vista currently.
Apparently XP32Bit can dual boot with win7 64-bit but can vista 32 bit?
There will be problems with a Dual Boot Vista/Win7?

Hello

You must ensure that 64-bit Windows 7 drivers are available from the manufacturer of your computer for all the hardware, or it will not work properly.

And is the same for your printer, etc.

Read this tutorial on dual boot them, including system requirements:

http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/5166-dual-boot-installation-Windows-7-Vista.html

See you soon.

p.s. We need a full license of Windows for two operating systems, as upgrade does not here apply.

    Hello world

I'm having the following problem: I had Windows 7 as primary OS (C drive) and then installed Windows 8 (on drive D) that is of dual boot. Everything was working fine until I decided to remove Windows 7 from the drive C. I have formatted the drive using Acronis Disk Director 11. After the reboot, the computer was not bootable. I had a reistallation DVD of Vista and installed. Now, I have Windows Vista on C and Windows 8 for D drive that is not bootable. My question is how to get rid of Windows 8 without having my computer starts plu?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

try to start your computer in safe mode on Vista and remove windows 8 in d ' training of formatting it and check if the problem is resolved.

If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista repair disc.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

There is not a disk of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

CAN I STILL INSTALL MY WINDOWS 8.1 THROUGH MY RECOVERY PARTION TO THE 2ND PARTITION ON THE HARD DISK THAT IS SHARED WITH A 216 GB AND GB 206 PARTITIONS, AND WHICH ALREADY HAS VISTA ON PARTITION 1 AND THE RECOVERY PARTITION ON THE 3RD PARTITION EARLIER UNDER SILENCE OF ABOUT 75-80 GB?  NOTE: THE HARD DRIVE IS 500 GB W/3 PARTITIONS TOTAL.

    Hi @oz0921

I saw your post on the use of the recovery partition to install Windows 8.1 on a partition on the same computer. Unfortunately, this won't work as the recovery would target the entire hard drive and format it. To try this you need an installation CD for Windows 8.1.

As part of the recovery with a reovery of HP drive, I tried to get it back and it formatted boot partiion and got this error message "error 1002 if the problem persists, please contact HP support. My laptop is out of warranty now.  I talked to HP support and they ask me to buy new drives recovery and someone in this forum mentioned that recovery disk will lift the same mistake and we would need to purchase technical support and even that has not worked for soembody after paying $ 200 to support. I am struck with recovery of the laptop now. I also tried the recovery partition revovering and gave rise to no luck.  I'm now out of warranty.

Windows recovery disc 32-bit error code meaning version question

    Hello
I hope someone can help me. I am unable to boot into windows vista 32-bit, so I downloaded the vista recovery disk and get an oxo error code what it means (thanks in advance)?

You don't give any info on what was the original problem with the computer.

You have set the Bios Setup to boot from the CD/DVD drive?

At startup, it will say press F2 or delete key to go into Bios/Setup, or maybe F12 to go to the Start Menu.

And have you tried also to tap F8 at startup and choose Safe Mode from the list of Boot Options?

Use up arrow key to do this, press on enter.

Browse your Hard Drive manufacturer's website, download software from here and test your hard drive for errors.

Virtual private networks have little to do with the domains or working groups.

  • Installed Windows 7 64 bit - 4 GB / 3 GB usable, whereas with Windows Vista 64-bit - 4 GB usable

    Hello
    I have the Asus N70SV B1.

    Specifications: (http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Multimedia_Entertainment/N70Sv/#specifications)

No problems with Windows Vista 64 bit, recognizing the 4 GB of RAM. After the upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit 4 GB installed / usable RAM problem / 3 gb. I also checked the following.

    1. I am running windows 7 64 bit, NOT 32 bit, I wouldn't be able to run Adobe After Effects® CS5.5 and Adobe first® Pro CS5.5 elsewise.
    2. the unusable 1 GB of RAM is not used by the operating system, it's hardware reserved
    3. the video card Nvidia GT 130 m 1 GB, shouldn't need that RAM - it certainly didn't on the factory installed Windows he dedicated RAM.
    4. I tried disabling and enabling msconfig - boot - Max memory settings, no option solves the problem.
    5. He has no option of memory in the BIOS settings to disable the cache in memory / memory the occultation.

    * I had to use the 64-bit of Windows Vista sound drivers work correctly with Windows 7 64 bit. So I thought that the version of bios or Vista 64 bit can thus solve the problem usable 4 / 3 gb.

    * Yes, I have flashed the bios to Windows Vista 64-bit and that still does not solve the problem. Although the system seems faster, it still shows only 3 GB usable.

There should not be a problem with this bios version seen only with the 64 bit Vista OS recognized all 4 GB.  I am confused and have no idea where to go from here.

    Please help.

The test equipment is a Site Master S820D used for the test of microwave signals.  It is not compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit, but is with Windows Vista 32 - bit.  Want to know if there is a way to get back to Windows Vista 32-bit, without having to buy a new operating system.  The program is called "Site Master Handheld Software Tools".

If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64 bit version of Windows Vista, or vice versa, you will need to back up your files, then select custom during installation of Windows Vista. Next, you need to restore your files and reinstall your programs
