Dual monitor problems

I have been using two monitors (1 monitor my primary monitor, 2 monitor showing an extension of monitor 1) for several years now. All of a sudden, monitor 2 links is no longer. I swapped the connections from the cables to the back of my Tower. When I started my computer, startup began the 2 monitor, but as soon as Windows is fully booted, 1 monitor again became the primary monitor and 2 the screen went black. I guess this isn't a hardware problem.

After some tinkering on the video card Control Panel, I could get 2 monitor to display, but it is no longer made reference the name of the 2 monitor (Asus) as a monitor. It refers to the second screen as "Digital Display" and considers it a generic Non - PnP monitor. I don't understand how it happened, why it happened or how to get my second screen displays correctly again. Currently, monitor 2 a haywire resolution, and I can't improve it (my own, its because he does not recognize the Asus monitor properly and does not know the capabilities of resolution of it).

I hope someone can understand my problem and is able to help, because I simply can't understand it.

I recently bought a netbook NB200/007 and want to use two monitors (mainly for display of pictures etc on larger screens)

It came preloaded with Windows 7 starter, after having found that the Starter edition did not support dual monitor that I've upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium, but I'm still not yet to make it work.

When the external monitor is connected, the netbook picks it up and sets up two monitors, but the external screen does not light (it remains in standby mode) I tried several different resolutions and also tried to use the external monitor as a single screen by selecting the option to have it as my main screen.

If anyone has a suggestion of how I could get it to work, I would greatly appreciate.

Is there still a rope out for me to do this work. Ive lost money on any cords 3-4

Your computer has a DVI - D and VGA outputs, monitor HP 2311 x has HDMI, DVI and VGA inputs... and HP vs19 monitor that has a VGA input. The computer bundle should have come with a DVI and a VGA cable... Connect the DVI cable (more great shape of rectangle) of the computer on the monitor 2311 x and the VGA (more small "D" shaped of) cable between the computer and the vs19 monitor. That should be all you need.

  • Discover the problem of dual monitors in Windows 7.

    Hi all

I have a problem on Windows 7, VMware View on two monitors, I can start a windows 7 Enterprise on two screens (extender mode) but all windows browsers or explorers can be moved easily from one screen to another screen, movement within a single screen is fine.

However, Windows XP does not meet this problem...

  • Dual monitor - really weird problem.

I posted this same question awhile back, but now I have more information that my fix this.

    Windows 7pro, 24g of RAM, 2 - dual 1 g cards, two 1 TB drives, PS5 64bits.

GPU - open GL is on, try off, seems not to matter.

I tried with Zoom clicked point to Center on and outside.

I tried Zoom Resizes Windows - on and outside.

Zoom clicked at the central point, and outside.

    I use three monitors - left - 24 "Samsung, intermediate level - 27 '' Dell and right - 24 '' Dell.

I started with PS and it opens on the right screen.  All my tools, menus, panels... stay on the right screen and the picture is moved from the right monitor to the central monitor. Before I drag the tab to the Middle monitor I can zoom in and move the photo anywhere I want with the hand tool, which is the upper left corner of the photo can be positioned in the center of the screen.  Once I have move tab (picture) for the monitor environment I can not move the picture that he's stuck horizontally and vertically, I can't get any gray area, if full screen and the photo will not move.  I can navigate in the navigator pane, but I can't move the picture around the screen using the hand tool, I can if left in right monitor.  Now if I move things around, using the central monitor for the tool, panels etc and move the tab to the right monitor it still doesn't move.  If I move the rear tab of the average monitor to the right screen, everything works fine.  It's really odd behavior.  I dragged to the left monitor as well, does not work, only in the original window files was launched in.

Does anyone else have this problem?  could someone please try this, surely someone has a configuration dual monitor.  Thank you.

Resemble its full screen in test mode hit the F button a few times.

I took the liberty to do a little research on the ASUS HD 6450 map.  Are - what you got to get the ASUS HD6450 silent and low GPU or the bigger one with the fan?  It might be possible that those silent will not support Eyefinity technology since it was modeled for the home theater PC use.

I noticed that the model with the fan on the radiator mentions he is compatible Eyefinity, while the silent model does not work, but it allows you to choose between a VGA, DVI or HDMI port, but do not use them simultaneously.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

According to the technical specifications of HP for your PC, both of these jacks can be used at the same time.

  • Graphics card dual monitor will fit in an HP Pavilion Slimline s3600z

I need to run two monitors to my HP Pavilion Slimline s3600z.

My OS is Windows Vista 64 bit.

I'm not a gamer; I teach in virtual classes and need to spread out the screen on two monitors.

My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce 9300 GE.

The card offers the ability to set multiple views, so I bought a splitter.

Unfortunately, this does solve the problem.

I bought a low profile with two connections graphics card, but it was too big for the case.

Is there a card dual monitor low profile that fits the business slimline?

Here are the specifications of your HP CTO Slimline s3600z desktop. According to specifications, your computer has a power of 160 watts. This power supply is unlikely to fuel a retail graphics card. The simplest method to use two screens with your computer is probably a adapter USB-to-video EVGA + 19.

  • Do I need a dedicated video card to run a Setup dual monitor with HP 700-327c?

Recently replaced an old HP Desktop with the envy of 700 running Windows 7 Professional.

Old facility had a Setup to dual monitor with a video card that had two monitors - one HDMI and a DVI connectors.  The standard connectors on the old PC were VGA and DVI, but both have been capped to prevent use.

I wanted to set up monitors on this new PC to do the same thing and wanted to know if a video card with the two input connectors dedicated was the best set-up or simply use a mute adapter for VGA or DVI on the new PC ports.  The new PC has two video connectors standard - one VGA and one DVI currently.

FYI: Using an Intel i7-4770 with 16 GB of RAM and a video card using an Intel HD Graphics 4600.

An update as promised - not a problem - used another cord with the right connector and setting up monitors using Windows device settings and they work perfectly.  No need for a separate or higher video card as I am not in the game application for video features.  Thanks BH.

  • HP G42-415DX: in a Setup dual monitor, perhaps armored secondary monitor white screen?

I have a Setup dual monitor, where the laptop is tied to a 2nd monitor (TV) via HDMI. I mainly use the 2nd monitor. Can I empty the 1st monitor (laptop screen) screen, yet still use the 2nd monitor with lid open to access the keyboard?

(I noticed with parameters changed in the Panel of Win7, I can close the lid without cutting [sleep, Hibernate or shutdown] computer and had to lower the monitor display 2nd to adapt to the screen.) But to use the keyboard, open the lid of the portable computer, which involved the 1st screen)

    Thank you

    Hi Kalad,

I think the same as you do sometimes, especially when I watch a movie and you want that it will display on the bigger screen and the simultaneouly have the laptop screen is off.

As you need to use the keyboard of the laptop and want the second poster only, which suggests to select the "Projector" only option in the pop-up menu by pressing the Fn + F4 key.

& to come back again having two screens or single screen press Fn Key & F4 on your keyboard and select "Extend" or 'Unplug the projector' options respectively.

I am an employee of HP.

  • Dual monitor crashing my computer

    Hello

I am currently under a dual screen setup with my monitor and a separate screen. It seems to work fine for a while and then all of a sudden my computer will start to act up, and then it will go to the blue screen of death. A small window pop up at the bottom left says there is a problem with my video card driver, but I have updated their and still get the same problem.

    Info:

Laptop - Toshiba Satellite M300 - 4 GB RAM - Vista Home Premium

    Screen - Samsung SyncMaster 245BW

Graphics - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 graphics card

Also, I checked the information page on the ATI website for this video card, and they even state it supports dual monitor.

    Thanks in advance, Scott

EDIT - if I remove the VGA cable connect my laptop on the screen while my computer crashes, it will return to normal after a second or two. However, if I try to plug it back in then it will take to crash my computer.
