Duplicate active Linux64 on Windows32

Hello

I try active duplicate of Centos5.9 64-bit to 32-bit of Windows XP. Because from what I've read, this should be possible, at least they have the same endian format. However, when I try it fails with the following error. Tried searching to no avail. If you can give some ideas that could be the reason.

RMAN output:

I managed to pass this error. The problem was that I had specifically put control_files empty string "(always check the alerts log!). I just put it in a file specific to the place. But now, to recover, I got the error:

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [ktbrcl:CDLC not in Czech Republic]

which is described in several notes of support but the cause is if the primary database has been improved v10 or lower, but in my case - I installed 11.2.0.3 own on both machines.

EDIT:

Note, application of redo is not supported between Linux and Windows except with a database of pending. This means that the backup must be a

cold (consistent) backup, requiring no application of redo.  If redo applies is required to recover the database on the new platform, it will fail.

The backup method using coherent (cold) should be used for duplication of cross-platform.

    Experts,

    I am trying to set up a standby database single-server to a primary database RAC, using configurations of data Gaurad. In this process, I finished all the configurations, and I was about to run the RMAN script to duplicate primary DB on Standby DB.

    When I turn off the RMAN script, he throws under the errors:

    Additional information:
    -----------------------------

    -Password is correctly copied the main database and the RAC rescue.
    -Capable to connect to DB primary waiting for database via sqlplus tool.
    -Telnet is conversely works very well.
    -All the pings work correctly.

    Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Happy to provide further information if necessary.

    Thank you

    Make sure that you should not use the password file that is located under /dbs. There is a folder called "database", where a password file must have been already generated at installation time. Simply copy the file to the same location on the standby node. I hope it should work now.

    Thank you

  • Restarting a database duplicate after network of deposit?

    I am creating a data hold sleep to help Active of Duplication of data.

    I run on a primary:

    RMAN> connect target sys/password@DB1;
    RMAN> connect auxiliary sys/password@DB2;
    RMAN> duplicate target database for standby from active database
    2> dorecover
    3> spfile
    4> set "db_unique_name"="ProdDB"
    5> set "fal_client"="DB2"
    6> set "fal_server"="DB1"
    7> set "standby_file_management"="AUTO"
    8> set "log_archive_config"="DG_CONFIG=(DB1,DB3)"
    9> set "log_archive_dest_2"="service=DB1 LGWR ASYNC valid_for=(ONLINE_LOGFILES,PRIMARY_ROLE) db_unique_name=DB1"
    10> nofilenamecheck;

    This whole process very well, however, the auxiliary database is very remote, the network connection is poor and the database to reproduce is massive. So, it takes about 15-20 days to transfer all of the base. However, the network drops about once every 48 hours or more. It only takes a few minutes, but it's enough that it causes the command DUPLICATE the error. I've done begins the new process every time.

    Is it possible to restart a DATABASE duplicate so that it picks it up, where he was arrested instead of having to restart each time? DB version is 11r2.

    Thank you

    Two copies should simply choose where it was stopped.

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/backup.112/e10642/rcmdupdb.htm#BGBEFJHH

    I just tested and double works as it should and resumes where it left off.

    However my test database is small and the question that you may have due to the size of your database and the time it takes to do the double.  It may also be the fact that at the time where you run duplicate active database, the primary database has evolved so he can't just pick up from where he was arrested and must start over.

    You might be better to make a backup on tape/disk and make this backup.  If you always use the same backup for your restore the duplicate elements must pick up where it left off.  You can then recover the database by using the archivelogs you must all archivelogs in during the last backup.

    It is not ideal that you have a large database AND a slow network, but you can try only what you try.  On a note separated, assuming you run maximum performance, you might find that the network latency problems means your series far behind your primary to standby.  I think that with your maximum availability and maximum protection configuration are not starters.

    Hope that makes sense.

  • Deploy the model w/o vCenter...

    Greetings...  I have a Windows Server 2008 virtual machine that has been cloned in a model via a feature in vCenter.   I need to deploy this model in our development environment consisting of a host 5.1 ESXi and vSphere client running against her.  We have not vCenter running in our dev environment...   Question: How can I deploy this model w/o vCenter being present?   Is it as simple as a converter any running on the VMDK file, then create a new virtual machine from scratch & pointing to the "existing virtual disk"?   The only thing here, is that in the data store, I have two files VMDK: filename.vmdk and filename_1.vmdk thanks!

    Yes, that sounds good.

    This othe rfilename_1.vmdk should be a second disk on this virtual machine.  So when this template has been created, it looks like someone added a second drive to the virtual computer.  so a C:\drive which would be the filename.vmdk and player E:\Data or something that would be the filename_1.vmdk

    Also because you can not run the configuration wizard that is part of a deployment of the model you will be have sys prep the Windows VM after that it starts to get a convincing identity, otherwise, you will encounter duplicate Active Directory SIDS

    Hope this has helped.

  • DG fails with ora-16532 / ora-16577

    Because my DBs are on a network disconnected, I can't copy and paste large quantities. Everything here is typical. Please be patient.

    Primary DB is EE 11.2.0.3.0 on RHEL 5.1 and running on the file (no - ASM) system.

    DB pending is EE 11.2.0.4.0 OEL 6.4 and running on ASM.

    I perform RMAN DUPLICATE ACTIVE without error. I have run the following SQL queries on the instance of relief:

    ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE DISCONNECT FROM SESSION;

    ALTER SESSION SET nls_date_format='DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS';

    select database_role,protection_mode from v$database;
    DATABASE_ROLE      -     PROTECTION_MODE
    PHYSICAL STANDBY   -     MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE

    SELECT sequence#, first_time, next_time, applied
    FROM   v$archived_log ORDER BY sequence#;

    I compare v$ archived_log against primary. Everything transferred and applied. Life is good. I am surprised, I did not met all the problems again! Maybe I really became a good DBA now! Now all I do is turn on Data Guard.

    I have set up my caller on hold. Notable entries are below.

    ...

    (SID_DESC =
    (SDU = 32767)
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = acme2_DGMGRL)

    )

    DYNAMIC_REGISTRATION_LISTENER_ACME2=OFF

    Because dynamic registration is disabled, I have generated statically _DGB above entry. I understand that ENVS is not strictly necessary, however, I have included to exclude errors. I'm sure some additional settings are properly configured.

    log_archive_dest_2:  SERVICE=acme AFFIRM SYNC VALID_FOR=(online_logfiles,primary_role) DB_UNIQUE_NAME=acme

    I check on the primary:

    show parameter dg_broker
    NAME      -  VALUE
    dg_broker_config_file1 - /u02/app/oracle/fra/dr1acme.dat
    dg_broker_config_file2 - /u02/app/oracle/fra/dr2acme.dat
    dg_broker_true         - TRUE

    I put and check that the sleep settings:

    show parameter dg_broker
    NAME      -  VALUE
    dg_broker_config_file1 - +DATA/acme2/broker/dr1acme.dat
    dg_broker_config_file2 - +FRA/acme2/broker/dr2acme.dat
    dg_broker_true         - TRUE

    I'm going to the ASMCMD from the night before and make the directories above.

    Elementary school:

    dgmgrl
    connect sys/mypassword
    Connected.
    add database acme2 as connect identifier is acme2 maintained as physical;

    He adds very well. It is part of the configuration, but disabled. In the listener from sleep log, I see that the primary is a successful connection to the service 'acme2'.

    show database verbose acme2 (I only typed relevant properties...ask for more if need be)
    DGConnectIdentifier = 'acme2'
    LogXptMode = 'SYNC'
    Standbyfilemanagement = 'AUTO'
    DbFileNameConvert = '/u02/app/oracle, +DATA, /u03/app/oracle, +DATA'
    LogFileNameConvert = '/u02/app/oracle, +FRA, /u03/app/oracle, +FRA'
    StaticConnectIdentifier = '(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(host=mystandbyhost)(port=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=acme2_DGMGRL)(INSTANCE_NAME=acme)(SERVER=DEDICATED)))'
    StandbyArchiveLocation = 'USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST'

    Database Status:
    DISABLED

    Just to double check, I use my DGMGRL Standby to try to connect to the primary DGMGRL with "sys/mypassword". Success! I can view primary DGMGRL configuration of the previous day. I have then copy and paste the "StaticConnectIdentifier" above in my primary tnsnames.ora file and create a temporary entry of TNS. I then try to tnsping this entry temp. All right. I have remove the temporary entry and return to DGMGRL. Everything went perfectly. Finally, I check the file of newspaper DG on the eve. The last line is "Configuration does not exist, Data Guard Broker loan", which is exactly what I expected to see at this stage. Can now do better?

    Elementary school:

    dgmgrl
    connect sys/mypassword
    Connected.
    enable database acme2;

    .. and so my long nightmare starts. Custody of intelligence data does not work.

    On logs waiting for DG, I see these errors for a while, but then they disappear:

    drcx: cannot open configuration file "+DATA/acme2/broker/dr1acme.dat"

    What makes the sense that they have not been copied yet. After a minute, I check the DATA + and + FRA starts on the eve and two config DG files have transferred and is where they should be. Ok. I check the database of pending log file. Only standard archived journal entries (files are always transferred from the primary school outside of Data Guard). I check ADRCI on intelligence. There are no problems or incidents.

    On the primary level, there is no problem or incident at the ADRCI and errors will only find is in the DG log file. They are:

    Broker Initiated ENABLE of site acme2 has been scheduled
    Data Guard Broker Status Summary:
    Type                 --       Name           --            Severity  --   Status
    Configuration                 DG_ACME_CONFIG       warning       ora-16607

    Metadata Resync failed. Status = ora-16577

    Command ENABLE DATABASE acme2 completed

    The error is repeated continually as main tent contact the broker ensures DG. I have check the earphone standby log file. I see that primary is connected to the local 'acme2_DGB' about once every minute, right mark. It is to achieve the TNS service, but the TNS service does not meets with the local broker.

    On the Pb of the day before, I run

    SQL> select process,client_process,status from v$managed_standby;

    ARCHARCHCLOSING
    RFSARCHIDLE
    RFSUNKNOWNIDLE
    RFSLGWRIDLE

    SELECT THE MESSAGE FROM V$ DATAGUARD_STATUS; shows nothing useful (transfers archive standard only).

    I've completely removed the DG configuration on all the boxes, removed the DG config files and completely recreated the configuration several times. In fact, I completely rebuilt the standby database DG twice. In addition, accelerated failover is disabled on the configuration of the DG.

    I tried everything I can think and find online. I would be very happy any idea on this issue that the community has to offer.

    Hello

    I do not use DG with broker but I want to ask something. I couldn't see the values of the parameters compatible on both sides. You know that the values must be the same on all the databases in a dataguard configuration.

    Primary DB is EE 11.2.0.3.0 on RHEL 5.1 and running on the file (no - ASM) system.

    DB pending is EE 11.2.0.4.0 OEL 6.4 and running on ASM.

    Best regards

    Hello

    I think I misread your original message, and I changed it when you answered. My apologies.

    It looks like all this you want to do is raise an error if someone tries to add a second line "ACTV.
    You better not to use a trigger while: more it can be done with a unique index, LIKE THIS:

    CREATE UNIQUE INDEX     t_bus_cyc_actv
    ON t_bus_cyc ( CASE
                   WHEN  bus_cyc_stat_c ='ACTV'
                   THEN  1
                END
              );

    In general, when you have the choice of doing something with a trigger or some other way (such as a constraint or an index), then the other way is almost always better. Etbin statement "triggers are evil" is perhaps a little exaggerated, but it is something short and catchy to remember.

    The error you are getting now is that a FOR EACH ROW trigger on t_bus_cyc cannot reference t_bus_cyc himself.
    The link I posted shows different ways to get around that. As Peter says, none of them are really the best solution for your problem.

  • Search duplicate files which are not linked to Active Folders

    I have several duplicates in my iTunes. Most of the duplicates is more related to active records. I can find how to find duplicates and I can find how to remove them, but there is no sort option that detects files that are not in my current records.

    I don't know what you mean by "linked to active records. Do you mean that you have files in folders that are not related to iTunes, or your library entries that are not related to the files?

    iTunes can create duplicates if the same content is added several times from outside the media folder when it is about to make copies of everything that is added to the library, or is added from an external drive that hosts the press kit that was disconnected during the launch of iTunes.

    Official notice of Apple on the duplicates is here: find and remove duplicates in your iTunes library. This is a manual process and article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as the lost coast and membership of playlist, or sometimes the same file can be represented by multiple entries in the library as well as a removal and recycling the file will break all the others.

    Use MAJ > display > show items to reproduce exactly to display the duplicates because it is normally a selection more useful. You must manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sort the list by Date added can make easier select appropriate tracks, but it works better when executed immediately after the dupes were created.  If you have several entries in iTunes connected to a same file on the disk hard then don't not send to trash.

    Use my DeDuper script (Windows only) If you are not sure, do not want to do it by hand, or want to maintain ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this background thread , this post for detailed instructions and Please take note of the warning to back up your library before deduping.

    (If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to temporarily view or CTRL + B to keep displayed.)

    The latest version of the script can put away the dead links as long as there is at least a double live to merge his stats and membership of the playlist and must deal wisely when the same file has been added through multiple paths.

    In its current form the script processes only the files that are added to the library. If you have orphaned files in the media folder these could be added to the library before you start deduping.

  • RMAN duplicate for standby the active database and the missing data files

    We have a car of 2 node ASM 11 GR 2 and 11.1 of database and a standby with ASM also. Our database is relatively low (300 GB)

    and in one recent event the day before was such a departure from the primary that we decided to "repopulate" the data using duplicate RMAN.

    I deleted the data files of the previous day and followed the Oracle documentation to duplicate a database. In the waiting

    I created a static listener and a pfile containing only the essential information (db_unique_name). I started the day before with nomount using the 'empty' pfile.

    I run RMAN, connected to the target and ancillary catalogues and run this command:

    run {
    allocate channel prmy1 type disk;
    allocate channel prmy2 type disk;
    allocate channel prmy3 type disk;
    allocate channel prmy4 type disk;
    allocate channel prmy5 type disk;
    allocate auxiliary channel stby1 type disk;
    duplicate target database for standby from active database nofilenamecheck;
    }

    RMAN duplication completed without errors, so I started the rescue database and got

    an error saying that datafile XXX is missing. I checked XXX datafile at the primary level

    and it is in a DISCONNECTED state. In the standby database the same data file is in the online state.

    So I think the problem is that during the duplication, RMAN (as documentation States) does not work

    Copy the files of data in offline mode, but the standby control file seem to think that these data files

    are online and should be present.

    Can someone please help me solve this problem? From my understanding, I could just copy the missing persons

    data files (there are many however) and in the standby go offline, but I don't think it's

    the right solution, edit this file for control of the standby? I would add another option

    in the RMAN script?

    Take the data file in offline mode on the site of the previous day.

    I don't think that two COPIES try to manage separately offline files.

  • How can I active names change for images exchanged in duplicate symbols?

    I have what seems to be a bug in cc2014 driven on-Board under the following circumstances:

    1 duplicate a symbol

    2. drag the symbol duplicated on stage.4

    3 Rename the symbol

    4. Click to edit the symbol

    5. Select an image inside the symbol

    6. in the properties panel, change to reverse the image to use for this instance of the duplicate symbol (I need to reuse this symbol several times and not being is not able to change active names is a real problem!).

    7 names for the asset in the chronology and elements was automatically generated at the time of the duplication when trying to change the names they go back to the auto-generated name.

    How can I overcome this problem, which is clearly a bug or an evil thought thanks to some highly competent programming by another adobe edge animate tesm

    I thank in advance

    David.

    You can assign IDS and classes of symbols with attr ('id', 'newIDName') and addClass().

    So let's say I have a symbol that contains other symbols - I had to first give an id to the outermost symbol, then drill down to other internal symbols. So since I can remedy directly, then I can do what I want with them.

    When I want to create several symbols, then I run a loop so that they have the same name with an index.  Here, I'm not add an id to the internals, but you could use the same principle. You can also assign names of classes.

    example:

    create buttons in a div. navigation bar

    for (m = 0; m<>

    var buttons = sym.createChildSymbol ("button", "navBar");

    Buttons.Element.attr ("ID", "Button" + m);

    SYM. $("#button" + m) .css ({'position': 'absolute', 'top': 5, 'left': (distance += 50)});   Make sure you have the # in front of the name of the new

    sym.getSymbol("#button"+m).$('bg').css ({'background-color':'white'});})

    sym.getSymbol("#button"+m).$('number').html (m + 1);

    };

    The strings that you entered in your file name conversion settings does not match where actually your data files. If the string does not match the names of files, there is no names of files to convert. Because you're on windows, how about something like this?

    set db_file_name_convert='\ORCL\','\ORCLSTD\'
    set log_file_name_convert='\ORCL\','\ORCLSTD\'

    Hope that helps...

    Hi all

    The data file 344 and 345 belonged to two different tablespaces that were not used.

    More, I don't know why, but the timestamp on these two data files 344 and 345 was showiing like JULY 6 instead of JULY 28.

    If I was sure that this was causing the problem.

    I gave these 2 storage spaces and then runs again once again the script removing created controlfiles and the database has been opened.

    Just curious as to why these 2 data files were not getting filled with the timestamp of the last?

    What is the status of the two data files? You can query to source database
    SQL > select file_id, dba_data_files online_status where file_id in (344 345);

    This backup contains these two files? If these two tablespaces have only a data file is in read-only mode?
