When you try to read the emails on Firefox I try to scroll down and the spinning wheel of color appears and runs several seconds up to a minute before allowing me to move forward.  This happens again and again.  Very frustrating!  What can I do to remove it?

  • I tried to watch a video I had a link to and I saw entirely several times before, and now after 5 minutes of normal play, it keeps cutting. What can I do to stop this? It is really important - work.

There is no error message, nothing.  It was just normally played for exactly the same amount of time every time I start it up, then suddenly stops at the same place, no matter OW many different places, I click on that link, I get exactly the same thing.  I checked the internet options settings, and I think they are OK.  I watched the video in full, a few timew before and the only thing that I think is different is that I went to IE 7 or 8.  Help, please!

    Hello Ninib,

The first thing I would try remove all cookies and temporary internet files.  If this does not help, try IE8 in compatibility mode.  Last resort, go back to IE7 and test.

  • Everything on my screen is enlarged, and some windows/programs do not properly fit because of that. What can I do to fix this?

I restarted, taken the battery, stop down and the problem persists. All my documents are completely expanded, I opened all the windows looks as if it is enlarged, but it is not. If I click on the maximize button, the window half fits on the screen.

You have poorly defined display resolution. A few reasons that this can happen:

    1. a person has played one more game and the game reduced the resolution.
    2. that you have installed a video driver from Windows Update by mistake - and it is always a mistake.
    3. the video card is a failure.

Since you did not provide a response to the first Question (see below), I can't guess what happened.

The first Question of troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what has changed between the time things worked and the time they do not have?

Try to set the resolution to the correct according to the instructions below. If this does not work, post is back with the answer to the first Question and some information about your computer (desktop? laptop? video card? monitor make/model, if your desktop?).

1 start Orb > Control Panel > appearance and personalization. Click personalization, click display settings.
    2. pursuant to the resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want and then click on apply.

Do not install an operating system is usually caused by (in order of probability):

    1. you are trying to install with other devices connected to the computer. Unplug them before trying to make an installation.

    2. "" "" defective installation media. "" Check the CD/DVD installation for scratches, tasks. Try another machine.

    3. bad optical drive. Test with another CD/DVD bootable or Exchange for a well-known work.

    4. faulty RAM. Test with Memtest86 + www.memtest.org . You will download the .iso image file to create a bootable cd. Burn the file with the third party burning software *-as an image, not in the form of data. Then start with the media that you did (you may need to change the boot priority in your BIOS so that the optical drive is the first boot device). The test runs immediately. The test run for an hour or two--at least that errors are seen immediately. If you get any errors, replace the RAM.

    * It is not necessary to have a third party burning software in Windows 7 since Win7 natively allows to burn an .iso. Other operating systems require it. A good free choice ImgBurn comes from www.imgburn.com .

  • roar of hard disk and the computer freezes for a few seconds

My hard drive makes a sound whirring for a few weeks now and when I type in emails or messages like this, the computer freezes for a few seconds. Any ideas how to fix this?

A desktop computer. Your problem could be overheating.

You must remove the side panel right and remove dirt dust bunnies fans. Also, make sure that all the fans are working. Safety switch the computer off and pull the power cable before removing the side panel. You can then move the computer backon and check that the fans are working.

Then, turn off the computer and some time for that cool. It is best to use a wrist band, which you set on the casing of the computer to you the earth before touching anything inside the envelope. You can buy one in a store of computer accessories. Static electricity can damage a motherboard if you don't take precautions.

Then, you use a small brush to remove the sheep of dust around the fan on the processor. I used an electric razor, cleaning brush. I use an Air blower to clean the power supply fan. An air Duster is also useful fopr cleaning keyboards.

Removal of the dust bunnies should reduce the noise that makes your computer. It can also reduce overheating, which can lead to errors of Blue Screen of Death.

Another way to check the hard disk to see if it is overheating is to use HD Tune 2.55 (free):

You have to scroll the page to see the freeware version.

You can try to use your boot USB storage device and check if that helps. A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

The following link has steps showing how to perform the clean boot. http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    i. Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

II. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
III. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
IV. click the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box and then click Disable all.
    v. click OK.
VI. When you are prompted, click on restart.
VII. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

    (2) enable half the services
    (3) determine whether the problem returns
    (4) enable half of the startup items
    (5) determine if the problem returns
    (6) repeat the steps above until you find out which program or service is causing the issue

After you determine the startup item or the service that is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved. Or, run the System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box of the element of the problem.

Note: Please make sure that the computer is configured to start as usual by following step 7 of article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 .

Reset the computer to start as usual
