  On this laptop's built-in speakers do not seem to work. I suspect that it's a hardware problem and not a Windows/driver setting as the sound is fine with headphones or external speakers, but of course I could be wrong on this matter. All the obvious settings seem to be correct. An indication of error only I see is the light the speaker on the base (above the keyboard) is amber continuously.

  I checked all the Windows updates and there is no error in the Device Manager. Any ideas/suggestions on what I need to check? If additional information is needed, please let me know and I'll be happy to provide it. Thank you in advance.

On the next page use Option 2 to access the list of drivers. Make sure that Windows 7 is chosen if no Edit to change. A list will populate with the drivers/software.

  I'm sorry I clicked on the Solution. I have not found the solution. I tried to connect the laptop to a TV via HDMI and it said no Signal.  What problem we can trouble first pull or rolling screen HDMI connectivity.

  I posted yesterday morning on this subject, and now, I searched all morning for a HP solution on what seems to be a common problem. Some people have made suggestions, but I cannont find where an Expert HP gave the solution. Many say they have to ship computers that are still under warranty. Please let know us if this is the case.   Just got a dv4-2155dx to replace my dv4-1435dx, because I love this laptop.  It does not come with bluetooth, however, so I was wondering if I can add it myself.  I had the role of HP parts, but I just wanted to know if anyone knows if there is even a space on the motherboard for this module, I know, he wouldn't have it.

  Yes it should be.  You need the module and cable.

  See Chapter 3 on page 3-8, article #17 of the service manual.  There are two cables depending on whether you have UMA (shared system memory) or discrete graphics on your model.

  My computer is currently under warranty, so I'm not eager to open the machine until the computer comes out of the warranty.  Before opening the machine, so these are my questions:

• dv4-3106tx: installation problem driver Bluetooth

  Hello and good day,

  Im having a problem with my built-in bluetooth. Before this all works fine until recently I can not discover device bluetooth, send/receive files. And I have every confidence, uninstall the driver for bluetooth device manager with the intention to reinstall using the driver included in the C: drive.

  However, the problem is when keep Windows install that driver with built in driver provided with windows. I thought: Oh ok nevermind, I'll just run the setup and it will overwrite and use the Ralink/Motorola bluetooth driver instead.

  But this isn't the end. When I run the Setup, I get this dialog box

  

  and I select Yes, 'restart the computer now' and click Finish. Then the computer will reboot and restart the installation, and again once I got this same message again... again and again and again.

  So I'm pretty much stuck now. For now, the bluetooth is installed with built in the windows driver used. But I can't find out, send/receive files either.

  Any help is very appreciated.

  Oh my god. I am completely forgotten this thread.

  In fact, I managed to solve the problem of bluetooth by:

  1 get the driver, my friend backup files. It uses same lappy with me. I asked him to save the driver software Driver Magician.

  2. I run the Wizard software and do the restore. Then, it requires a reboot. Restart the computer

  3. upon reboot, I started the installation of bluetooth driver software and he manages to complete the installation without any problem.
