  I read your post on the analysis of the problems with your HP Photosmart Plus B209 a - m and wanted to help.

  I don't have the same printer model, but I do not have other HP printers, and the process is essentially the same.  When you install the full exercise for the printer software, it installs a shortcut on the desktop that allows you to scan to PC.  I did it with two different HP network printers and it works the same for both.

  So, you need to check that you have installed the complete service for the printer software. The linked page is for Win7 software and the driver for your printer: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Photosmart-Plus-All-in-One-Printer-series---B2/3777155/model/3777156

  IF it shows no Windows 7 when you open it, click the Edit button and select Windows 7 from the pulldowns.

• HP dv6-2150us failure of recovery with new drive

  My HP Pavilion dv6-2150us Win 7 64 bit computer portable 320 GB drive has failed.  I want to install a 500 GB drive for a replacement, but get an error message when about 35% through the process recovery disk.  I tried all three options, system reset factory and reduced to a minimum.  All fail.

  The new drive can be partitioned and formatted easily into another computer.

  Any advice?

  The problem seems to be the process of partition/format.  I partitioned and formatted the drive on another PC via a USB/SATA cable and was finally able to do thanks to the installation of recovery factory reset.  Watching the reboot process and installation of things.

• HP dv6-2150us + Windows 7 64 bits + quick launch problem

  I have a new install of WIndows 7 64 bit on my HP dv6-2150us, and now there is a problem with the Quiclaunch buttons. Before my reformatting to get a clean install of windows 7, the quick launch buttons has worked, after the installation of the new, I have a problem. The problem is that pressing the volume buttons or button mute are not any notification on the screen. I can adjust the volume from the keys, but no statement is displayed (I need to check the volume slider in the bar of tasks to see how I increased or decreased it). Mute works also but still no notification.

  I installed all necessary drivers and the problem does not reolved. I wonder if windows 7 is somehow blocking notifications or if it's a problem with the application of buttons?

  I have a computer laptop dv6-2150us pavilion which, for some unknown reason, does not. I was working very well. I stopped and would not start in a couple of hours. I kept the power button down as others have suggested, but nothing happens. A laptop is dead.

  How to deal with a computer that won't even turn on.

  One thing I think is to change the battery. Before the power loss, my battery needed replacement. I had to keep the laptop plugged in to work. I couldn't work on the battery.

  I would appreciate any ideas. Thank you

  The first thing, remove the battery and unplug the power adapter and leave it without power for a minute.

  Then plug the AC adapter in (be sure to leave the battery) and see if the laptop. If it doesn't, the next test would be to check the power adapter (reconnect it in community/points of sale). If this still does not work, you will need to try another adapter to see if the laptop turns on.

  You have a hardware problem, I recommend contact support to get a quote on a repair.

  Then, you can compare that against the price of the purchase of a new laptop computer.

  You can also try to connect an external monitor to see if the problem is seen here, it may be a way, but you wouldn't know until you've tried.

  Well according to a photo on Amazon it is on the left side. Looking at the back, with the closest connection to you, but by all means, if you feel more at ease to get one from Amazon, it is the place to go.

  When you were on the PowerBook or you forgot the screw, you have left the battery in place.

  My friend recently bought an i7-720qm processor used to upgrade hp pavilion dv6 2 1 5 0 US and I

  summer giving a helping hand by making the upgrade.

  Since the 10 Windows running Google Chrome used up to 70% of the processing of an i3 - 330 m power

  processor, it seemed to be good upgrade to improve the performance of the laptop.

  We checked that the new i7 processor is compatible with the laptop (it is listed as supported by the)

  ( interview guide , page 108), and the seller assured us he tested the CPU on some different

  HP pavilion and it worked fine.

  But when I replaced the processor with the i7 processor i3 and tried to boot up the laptop, only the LED lights

  on the front and the setting of the power and volume buttons would light up periodically. The screen was black

  All the time.

  Thinking I might have made a mistake during the reassembly of the laptop I put the original i3 processor back in

  and it starts fine.

  I updated the BIOS of the F.1C version I found on the internet and once replaced the i3 with the i7 with the

  same results - display off, flashes periodically LEDs. The BIOS updated smoothly, and the correct version is displayed in the main menu of the BIOS.

  I am confused on what could be the problem with the upgrade, everything should work. Is there a BIOS update I have

  missed, or the problem elsewhere?

  Disassembly and reassembly are made with care, and we took care to avoid static electricity. All the rest

  on the laptop works well - I am writing this post on the laptop in question with the original i3 processor in place.

  Any help, advice or general guidelines as to what should be done would be really appreciated.

  The problem is that if you look in Chapter 3 of the manual, pp 22-23, there are maps of separate used for the dual core and quad core processors system.

  In other words, you cannot install a quad core processor in a Board that originally had a dual core processor and vice versa.

  My Assistant help suddenly stopped opening when you click on the shortcut. I have uninstalled and installed the newer version sp71727. It will not always be open. Uninstalled and reinstalled twice with the same result. Also, I went to the folder program and clicked on the executable file with the same result. Stay programs and the system is functioning normally. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  I use windows pro 8.1 on this old laptop. Recently, I checked the Device Manager and found 2 lack of drivers, that I tried use booster driver to install the missing drivers, but I did not. Here are the pictures:

  

  

  Please see try HP 3D Driveguard software (HP ProtectSmart hard drive Protection) and ENE CIR Receiver Driver. For the ENE CIR Receiver driver, you might have to run the file. Conclusion of any windows error. Go to Device Manager, then click on the device ACPI\VEN_ENE & DEV_0100. Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver. Select the 'Browse my computer for software' and navigate to the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.  Who will be in C:\SWSetup\sp44983. Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and you should be good to go.

  The 303 error indicates that your hard drive is defective and must be replaced - it is also compatible with startup problems you describe.

  DST error codes indicate the disk hard a failed/is a failure and should be replaced. Laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can use a 750 GB hard drive, but not a 320 GB hard drive

  I don't think the mistake about the State of the led will show anywhere in the log files - it will probably be a case of finding a compatible driver for Windows 8 IDT running on your machine.

  Try the following.

  First, uninstall the driver IDT audio, HD current since its entry in programs and features, and once completed, restart the laptop.

  When windows has completely recharged, download and install the version on the following link.

  If this installs Ok, restart the computer before, check if the led and audio control panel work.
