DV6 2165tx laptop - upgrade the processor
Hi, using dv6 2165tx laptop. Is it possible to upgrade the processor alone without changing the i5 M430 motherboard? at this time the speed of the processor is 2.23 Ghz but I need more than 2.5 Ghz (without activating the Turbo). Any suggestions?
Hello
You cannot move from motherboards and processors to laptops. However, you can increase the RAM and change the HARD drive.

Your laptop's card with Intel Dual core with UMA graphics card and the USB 3.0 version.
The high processor upgrade possible, without changing the Board of Directors is 2640M i7 dual core (HP 666173-001 part number). Not much of a performance gain.
If you want to upgrade to QuadCore i7 (i7 quad core 2860QM), you have to replace the Board of Directors. It'll be better buying a new laptop with the better than going to this costly upgrade card.

The laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system, the current processor is an AMD A4 - 3300 M APU with Radeon HD 1.90 Ghz graphics card. What CPU can I put in and I have to change my motherboard to upgrade the processor?
Hello
The new motherboard and I speak also on the given machine, to undo and redo the motherboard to put everything in place the chance is your machine would not work correctly in the end. You're only a techican to the computer or if you have to pay someone for this?
Kind regards.

HP-G60-635DX: upgrade the processor for laptop HP-G60-635DX
I need to take this laptop goes to clean the fan. I thought since I was already taking it down to the motherboard to clean it, I would upgrade the processor.
The original processor was an Intel T4300 and I chose an Intel T9600 to upgrade. I found this information processor in the hardware maintenance manual. The computer starts and the fan is working and everything seems to work, but the screen is black and I can't access the bios. I'm not sure about the difference in cpu power, it might need a bigger power supply? I have the latest (and only listed) update of the bios for the Board of Directors. Any suggestions? This processor will work with this mother/laptop card?
I also tried to reset the cmos to unplug for a few minutes, it has not helped. I tried to plug in my HDMI TV where the monitor was the question, this does not work either. This is the only manual G60 there, I'm afraid. The problem is not the voltage or anything else it is the extra circuit found in Core 2 Duo processors. The cheaper Celeron and Pentium Dual processors are step features advanced and have other things, C2D processors premium. The 940 chipset is cheaper and allows the Assembly of cheaper machines. Run Sysoft Sandra or CPU - Z to confirm that you have 940 chipset and not the 945. If you look at the link I gave you some people become C2D processors working on 940 cards mothers and computers laptops, but HP does not seem to support that.

I have a laptop 214dx CQ60. I want to upgrade the processor in it something else.
I have a laptop 214dx CQ60. I want to upgrade the processor in it something else. I read on the Internet it is possible to replace the processor too long you will find the right socket, power, processor etc. Is there a list out there which is compatible with the laptop I have? I was hoping to find a processor that will consider a dual-core to a core2duo machine computer. Thanks for any info you can give me!
Thank you for your help. I'm looking to an improvement in the operating system memory/too, so that the processor could do the trick. Was probably go Windows 7 64 bit at the same time. Thanks again.

Equium P300-190 - Question about upgrading the processor
Hello
I just have a question for my CPU PC Toshiba laptop, I have a can of Equium P300-190 full to give model number if necessary the cpu is one supplied with the laptop.
My question is I want to upgrade the processor but do not know which would be the best option and there are limits with the BIOS, etc. on board.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Probably it is not known to you that upgrading the CPU is not officially supported by the manufacturers of portable.
The CPU upgrade is a tricky thing... the fact is that the CPU must be supported by chipset and BIOS.
Where a party would not support the new processor, the unit will not light. So even if you use a CPU that is supported by the chipset (Intel GM965) there is a risk that the BIOS could not support the new processor...
The laptop was equipped with processor Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor T2390 (Merom code name) probably the other CPU Intel Pentium Dual-Core family-owned would be compatible, but to be honest, you won't see a performance improvement...
So in my opinion it is not worth trying to upgrade the processor...
In my opinion, you need to replace the HARD drive with an SSD... in that case you will get the performance improvement...

Upgrading the processor on the Satellite U200
I have a PLUA0C U200-PT300E and I would like to upgrade the processor in it. I bought a T7200 processor on eBay since it was the most powerful available for laptops U200/U205 CPU. However, when I installed it, I came across a series of problems. First the fan would run at full speed and the computer would briefly have blue screen after Windows loading and then it could restart. He just kept this again and again. I ran MEMTEST because I wasn't too sure about what the issue was. The computer locked up during the test, and then I was unable to restart it. I replaced the processor with the an original T2300E, then the cimputer starts and ran perfectly.
Any ideas why this happened? Was the defective CPU? Both the U200 and U205 come with the Intel 945 GM Express chipset and I have the latest Toshiba BIOS for the U200/U205 (v 3.70) so it doesn't seem to be compatibility problems.
I wonder if it is the CPU that my own past experience if a CPU is not compatible with a chipset then the computer or the other does not start or it will give errors as soon as it publishes. However, this would be POST and would start to load Windows before it crashed.
I m didn't ask you with all these questions. Why you not a not post here until you have made the decision to upgrade CPU?
In any case, I think that the answer to your questions, you will find under http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm
Please read carefully what Toshiba guys talking about CPU upgrade. -

Re: Satellite A350D PSALME I want to upgrade the processor
Hello
I have a Satellite A350D-10Y PSALME with processor AMD Turion x 2 zm-80.
I want to upgrade the processor with a powerful one.
CPU witch is my motherboard/BIOS card is supported?
(My motherboard is KTKAE)Best regards
Don t mix for laptop and desktop PC.
There are two different things and upgrade CPU for laptops is not easy all this is complicated, as the motherboards are designed only for the specific model laptop. So far as I know the A350D manages only the processor Dual-Core AMD TurionTM 64 X 2 or AMD AthlonTM X 2 Dual-Core Processor

Upgrade the processor to a Satellite A200-17O (PSAE6)
Hello
I was just curious to know if it is possible to upgrade the processor of my Satellite A200-17O (PSAE6) (it is an Intel core 2 duo T7100) to a Core 2 Duo more powerful as the T7500. I had intended to do so in a year or two, since at that time there prices for chips should go down and the power of the 2.2 ghz (or more) opposed to the 1.8 ghz may be necessary...
I ask that is because when checking, it seems to be quite difficult to obtain for the CPU (which means I have to remove all of the bottom of the laptop to access; would be an obstacle, I could take however). My main concern is that if the Bios would then recognize the chip I use, what should essentially be compatible since it is always based on the right PM965 Chipset?
Thank you in advance, I am grateful for any answer.
Sorry mate but it s not possible to upgrade your system with a new processor because your system it s not like a desktop system that can be easily upgraded.
The problem is, these components such as the processor and VGA are "wired" for the user, which means that the manufacturer of a lack of doesn´t of mobile system to change any of these comps. You may have a chipset that can handle more CPU, but the BIOS is not how you think. You will have massive problems since the cooling system are designed individually for each machine, but each unit has its own BIOS configuration and so on.
Probably the most interesting is that you will lose your warranty if you really take apart your machine yourself.
Welcome them

Satellite P100-429: Question about upgrading the processor
When I bought this model 6 months ago I got this one with just a T5500 1.66 GHz but since then Intel reduced prices 40% it is me the upgrade option.
Someone at - any idea how I can update, the following list lists the T7600 @ 2.33 GHz compatible on the Bus speed and execution step by step. The only difference being the memory cache L2, 4MB compared to my old one of the 2 MB that will have an effect.

Thanks for anyones help.
Hello
Upgrading the CPU is a bit tricky on laptops and more often than not desirable and is not possible.
After the CPU overheating upgrade, it would be possible that don t cooling modules are working properly and the laptop.
Why? Well well, the CPU new and stronger products, more heat and the temperature would be Monte. The fan table that is stored in the BIOS will not correspond with the new CPU and the cooling fans would not correctly work.
In addition, upgrading CPU will void your warranty! It's very risky!Anyway, looks like you certainly want to upgrade the processor?
So I would check the chipset installed on your laptop.
Try to know the details of the chipset and Intel page for compatible processors research!concerning

Satellite L350-12N - upgrade the processor?
Is it possible to upgrade the processor of the Satellite L350-12N laptop?
If it is possible, what is the maximum clock speed that the motherboard can support?
Hello!
These upgrades are not usually easy and often impossible and undesirable.
The CPU can cause trouble with the BIOS and the top CPU speed product more heat dissipation that could lead to overheating.
So I would not upgrade the CPU, because a new costs a lot to and you get much more performance.
Good bye

Is it possible to upgrade the processor on Equium A60 - 155
Hello
Is it possible to upgrade the processor on my Equium A60 - 155. There is currently a Celeron D 2.6 Ghz and its so slow! I can put a P4 chip in or is the motherboard a Celeron only (plug 7 a bell rings)?
Thank you
As far as I know spend CPU is not possible and thereby you can upgrade RAM to the maximum level. You should also configure and optimize the pre-installed OS and I sure that you will be satisfied with your laptop of my.
In my opinion, the processor is powerful enough, but there are also other factors that may be responsible for slow operating system.
