  Hi all Newbie laptop and user format Blue Ray here so please bear with me! I did a search and could not find anything about this problem I have. Recently bought an XPS 1730 (beautiful piece of kit) and so far I'm very happy with it - but I have a little complaint about BD playback.

  I bought 2 of the other absolutely perfect BD Lucky Number Slevin times day others (Almost Famous) starts fine and passes to the menu screen with videos playing in the background of the menu - very nice.

  However when passing the mouse over the hotspots to play the film nothing happens. It is the same for all other access point in the menu options. Thinking it could be a problem of hot spot, that I resorted to the menu bar to play the options etc but still no joy, I can stop, adjust the volume but I can not play! Looking at the other options along the top of the disc menu is grayed out. The passage of the mouse on the option of disc menu, it says "banned" - which I suppose is the cause of the problems.

  I have a replacement for almost famous Blue Ray disc but it still does exactly the same thing. I checked the region code (so it is A, B, C plays anywhere). Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this, or what could be the problem?

• Blu Ray playback jump even when not burned to disc (CS6)

  I still use to create an image of single disc blu ray from 5 video files between each with 2 audio tracks (stereo and 5.1). the encoding is done via media encode using H.264 blu-ray presets and the compressor for the sound surround so again is just mount the iso. Once this is done it jumps and crashes in each video, even when played through the computer without being burnt to disc (mounted just to test). I look at the data rate is jumping all the place and when it hangs often drops to 0 or less 5Mbp/s

  I am missing a step or encode correctly or is this a common bug? I went through a stack of discs working on this problem and any help would be appreciated I need to deliver our films on DVD and Blu Ray imminent.

  The discs are of standard size and are not specific model when it comes to ROM SATA DVD/CD/Blu-ray discs. Will work in all things.

  The front plate and the rear mounting of your old drive can be removed and placed on the new drive to adapt to your machine.

  Please read some information on the page of Intel on the Intel HD graphics chip.
  The chip is called HD because it is able to process HD video which means it should eb strong enough to work with the blu - ray!

  I had the unit today and was having a difficult time figuering how transfer from the front of my HP to the new Blu ray device.  Finally, after realizing that I couldn't remove and transfer the inards, I saw the little clip that contains the dashboard on.  Once I have communicated that the facia jumped easily.  I could transer and it worked perfectly.  So thank you for all your time and effort to help me.

  I would like to replace my DVD drive internal stock (599062-001) with a Blu - ray player.  Partsurfer site does not list a Blu - ray drive for my computer laptop, g62-455dx, but I don't see Blu - ray discs for other models g62.  Specifically, I see the drive 599063-001 listed, but I don't know if it will work with my laptop.

  It's just a matter of physical compatibility. Even if you have the Intel HD video which is sufficient to support playback of Blu - Ray. Caveat that if you have a display of 1366 x 768 Blu-Rays looks not very different from DVDs. Windows will provide a generic driver optical drive to a very basic layer of the operating system that you want to mount as a volume and a function higher as DVD and Blu - Ray playback and burning disc is provided by Windows or third-party software.

  As long as the drive is the right thickness (9.5 to 12 mm) and SATA (like all Blu - Ray players) it will slide into the hole and connect. You may need to Exchange facades to maintain perfect chassis and color coordination.
