DV6125 Power Switch failed

For the past year, I had to press the switch further and further in the bezel at the top of the page in my DV6125 Pavilion notebook to turn on my computer.  It got to the point where I can no longer use my finger and have block a key or a coin on it and press hard enough to turn it on.  I try to never turn off my computer, in order to preserve what remains of this switch, but it is sometimes inevitable.  I'm afraid that soon she will cease working altogether.  Can someone give me some advice as to how I could address replacing or fixing this thing for a reasonable price?

Try with this:

http://www.Google.com/search?q=431437-001&ie=UTF-8&OE=UTF-8&AQ=t&RLS=org.Mozilla: en-USofficial & client = firefox-a

The part number you need is: 431437-001

Change that part is easy, just be careful with the screws to the stack space.

Good luck

    Hello

Looks like that the power switch has developed a problem, probably about to fail.

Whatever settings are they should be consistent and not need to several tests.

Check with a real computer store (the one that makes its own internal and no service
leeks and glances at a Best Buy or other stores) or system manufacturer support
(for systems custom Integrator system and the manufacturer in the case of construction of House).

I hope this helps and happy holidays!

  • power switch flashes by intermittent but pavilion m1270 desktop don't dΘmarre

    Hello everyone

yesterday, I met the same problem, I had 2 years ago. The power of my office pavilion m1270 switch started flashing intermittently, but each start attempt failed. I had this problem also 2 years ago, then I opened the computer and cleaned. He was then apparently resolved, but only if I disconnect the electricity Office, IE I could turn off the sessions but it was preferable to not draw power (cable) in the case of going on holiday for example. If that happened, so I had to start pushing the power switch of the dozens of times until I got lucky and he started upward. But since yesterday it turn on at all. With the power cable plugged the switch blinks intermittently and pushing you hear 'click', but no start-up. Of course I opened and cleaned but no result

. . Maybe someone encountered the same problem and found a solution, know that I am not at all technical.

  • Compaq Presario SR1522X HELP power switch!

Help! For the life of me, I can't understand the switch on the front panel. How the hell does it work? My switch will not turn on the computer. I took the front panel off, and I'm completely baffled works even in the switch. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Fred

    Hello @Fred_W,

I understand that your switch does not work and you need assistance. I provide you with a guide on how to make sure it is plugged properly below:

Step 1. What is the power switch.

The power on / off switch and the hard disk activity and turn on the LEDs are contained in a single module.

Step 2. Where is the switch?

The module is mounted behind the wall front of the chassis.

Step 3. How is the power switch set to the chassis?

3 hooks on the module to fix to the wall of the chassis.

Step 4. When the power switch is connected to the motherboard?

I hope that this information helps to answer your question. Given the age of the computer HP is no longer wearing the power switch so if it needs to be replaced, you will need to find a 3rd party distributor. An online search, or possibly a local computer technician must be able to locate the part for your.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a wonderful day!

  • LifeDrive power switch broken switch

Help.  My Lifedrive is 4 years old and has worked well for the old technology.  However, the power switch broke.  In other words, it slips easily rather than move the on/off switch and does not have the power or not.  The last position has been LOCKED.  So I can't enter the data.  A soft reset brings to the top of the screen, but the screen has half shaded numbers and does not recongize being touched or tapped.  There seems to be nothing that works.  A hard reset is not possible because the on/off switch does not work.  Most of my data is synced with my computer.  But I did an interview with oral history and voice Memos do not sync for palm desktop.  So my questions are: 1) does anyone know how to activate a locked Lifedrive with a broken switch for power on / off?  (2) someone knows how to retrieve voice memos to a unit in this condition? (3) does anyone know how to fix a switch broke on a palmOne Lifedrive?  Really hope someone can help.

This is what it looks like after removing the plastic shell.  The piezoelectric speaker is attached to the plastic shell.

Disconnect the battery from the motherboard.  I use a small Flathead screwdriver to separate the connectors softly.

    Remove the battery disconnected.

Write it now, numbers 1 to 4 on the pieces of blue plastic that supports the microdrive; in this way, you won't get lost as all back you together.

The microdrive is connected to the interface of CF. There is a sticker of warning placed on the lower part of the microdrive and interface see cut carefully through the sticker between the CF card and the microdrive with the tip of the knife.  Gently, remove the microdrive from the CF interface with a flat head screw metal or equivalent.

Now the microdrive (in my case, a memory of 32 GB compact flash) is half disconnected from the interface CF.  Continue, making sure not to damage the delicate pins.

    Congratulations!  Completely unplugged.

Remove the microdrive (or CF memory).

Disconnect the cable of the microphone of the motherboard in the same way you did to speaker wires.

Unplug the connector for cable film gently with a plastic or equivalent flat head screw.

You don't want to have cables delicate film cut by accident, so be careful.

Unplug the connector for a another movie cable gently with a plastic or equivalent flat head screw.

Remove the two very short torx screws.

Finally, the motherboard is thrown, and you can see what happened to the switch.

The central internal switch at the top of the motherboard has proved to be in the locked position.

One of the two legs of the plastic piece was found to be broken.  The other leg looked ok.

I slipped inside switch to the unlocked position manually.

Another picture of the internal switch.  If the internal switch turns out to be broken, refer to

http://1src.com/forums/printthread.php?t=121887 and order a new switch from Mouser Electronics, www.mouser.com
    Part number: 688-SSSS7A0101
    Manufacturer part number: SSSS7A0101
    DESC: SP3T W / BACK WINDOWS
    Switches slide ALPS SMD
    RoHS: compatible

I think that your internal switch is not broken.

Put the motherboard back such as the plastic piece can slide the internal switch to turn on or off position.  Be careful not to break the other leg healthy in this process!

Put everything back together carefully.  You start your Lifedrive, you will notice that the date and time are the default, put it so well.   Good luck to you!

  • The A3-A20-K1AY support automatic power switch with flip covers?

I just bought this Iconia and a folding cover to go with it. I can't find anywhere in the settings to activate automatic power switch. Now, I wonder if this tablet has even this feature.

Yes, he does not sleep automatically when you close the lid. Better to use the button for this.

  • Bug to stop random, DIFFERENT from the power switch question

I found a problem that I have yet to isolate the cause of the, but his is happened a few times now.  Sometimes, when my Sansa has updated its database and has not played a song at the moment, if I change the settings and then try to play a song, it starts to play, then cut completely.  It doesn't happen often, but these are the circumstances each time.  The player will not respond and will refuse to power on.  The only way to get on is to hold the power switch until the device resets, release, and then power it turned on, which of course means another data refresh.  Once this is done, my settings are all back to where they were before the last change, I can change their return, and everything works fine.  As I said, the problem don't occur often, only about 3 times since I've had (since June), but its still an obvious problem.  If someone wants to know more about it, or want me to try a few things, let me know.  I'm mainly just let Sandisk people know, then maybe we can get this in a future firmware update.

New firmware is in the release process now, so hang on until release us the next version.  It can help about this.  Should be within 1-2 weeks.

  • hp officejet 6700 premium: officejet 6700 power switch on, menu and wireless unable to connect offline

    my HP Officejet 6700 Premium

    (1) display suddenly 'offline' from my computer.

    (2) the indicator light is on, but no menu or wireless lamps are on... I can't turn on or off using the switch, there's just lit up

... I unplugged the power from each end and the led turns on as soon as it is plugged

... I have re-plugged directly into wall outlet

... I've tried everything on the site within my computer and HP

... uninstalled, then rebooted everything and re-installed

None of the software may "detect" the printer

My initial suspicion continues even after all that... that my printer is dead somewhere inside, and it has nothing to do with the connection to my routers, computers, etc. ???

However, my first notes that something was wrong was when I went to print and my computer says the printer is "offline"... Of course, I checked that setting now and he was not in offline mode in the settings.

Does anyone have a solution or the same suspicion.

I wrote HP and have failed for 4 days.

    Thank you

Unplug the unit and let it sit for an hour.  Plug it into the wall directly, do not use any type of power strip.

  • LG monitor external switching failing

    Hi all

Much has been written on the recognition of external monitors, but I was not able to find or solve my particular problem.

I had an early 2015, 13 "Macbook Pro retina El Capitan, which I want to connect an external LG monitor 24 inch (24EA53) via the build-in HDMI port. As soon as I plug the mac monitor recognizes and tries to 'activate', but it seems that this fails, because she turned back activate the monitor and not activated (the cycle is long about 3 seconds). The monitor shows also in the meantime that no signal is present, then it switches to a completely black screen and guard bike like that. Sometimes after a few switches that he works all of a sudden, it sometimes takes too long and I unplug the monitor and try again later. As soon as it works, there is no problem. The same problem arises when waking from sleep (display). I have no problem with connecting to my TV (LG, also).

On my old laptop (early 2011 Macbook Pro 13 ") he has never been a problem with the monitor on a thunderbold-> hdmi adapter. I also tried this card on my new mac, but the same problem exists. Below the system log indicates what's happening. Any ideas? Thank you!
