DV7-1245dx: computer laptop dv7-1245dx: update to card WiFi... Need for 802.11n
I have a HP dv7-1245dx laptop AMD with a Wireless G Wifi Atheros ar5007 card. I want to update my WiFi card for 802.11n more speed fast and really would like if I can get bluetooth at the same time the new wifi card. Any IDE?
In case anyone is looking for a solution... I did some more research and found that a
Atheros AR5BXB92 AR9280 HP 482260-001 wireless adapter
works very well.
Y at - it was a updated driver for a computer laptop 17-e020us? The current driver is a driver Inel HD Graphics 4000 dated 06/03/2013 version 220.127.116.1155. There are newer drivers on the Intel site, but when I try to install that he says: they are not compatible. I try to use various HP support assistant and/or Windows Update, but it says my driver is up to date. Maybe it's a long shot, but I'm trying to update the driver I have a problem with TurboTax GUI buttons/links does not.
(I spent 5 hours on medium with TurboTax and we tried everything else and they saw the graphic drivers causing problems similar to mine).
Any help much appreciated.

I have an Acer Aspire 5742z-4200, and it came with a mini PCI-E card of draft 802.11n. I didn't need much in the way of transfer speed out of the machine most of the time I've owned it, but now all of a sudden.
I bought two Inetl 802.11 b/g/n/ac cards, assuming that the PCI-E was a standard housing, and one card would work, like the other, but with different capacities. That doesn't seem to matter of bethe. After installation of each, the PC started very slowly, but has managed to load network tot connect drivers and even transfer files at lightning speed, compared to my connection 802.11 g. But overall, the laptop is too slow to use.
A little research on Google introduced me to the term 'material whitelist. I imagine that it is also possible tensions, frequency of the bus or whatever it is of another participant might be incompatible. The PC works fine with the old card in it, so I don't think I have anything damaged. Does anyone know what I need to do to upgrade the WLAN card in my laptop? If I'm relegated to get a USB adapter?
Thanks for your help!
OK, some more application of Google-fu, and I read more on the subject of the registration of the pins with more recently introduced functions. Pin 20 seemed to have something to with a wireless radio turn off the feature that did not have previous PCIe slots/motherboards. The symptom seems to be no visible from card otherwise functional networks. PIN 51 resembled a new feature/issue and seemed to have something with the ability to disable the radio more than one. (The 802.11ac card I got a bluetooth as well.) It is manufactured by chipzilla, a nd a 2.4 and 5 Ghz frequencies for WLAN function. I wanted the frequencies and the 802.11ac and struggled to find one without Bluetooth. It was $ 31).
This PC is quite old now (Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz, DDR3 1333 MHz RAM - a bit slow, but with a small SSD, it's fine for my purposes.) and not worth much and I save all the time so I decided to give it a shot. I don't know the rules here to post links, so I don't want to, but they are not hard to find. A few people have even posted revision of the Chipzilla official on the mini PCIe spec for the addition of several start/stop function triggered on the PIN 51 radio. PIN Ribbon 51 seems to have solved the problem completely.
Yet now my machine starts quick, the transfer rate WiFi is what it should be and if I don't have any Bluetooth use, the devices all appear OK in Device Mangler. I guess that all 802.11ac cards with several radio stations have this PIN 51 - multiple radio disable switch compatibility issues when used in older laptops. I look around a bit for one with no Bluetooth, but saw nothing so I decided to try the hack. If the thing starts to smoke or whatever it is, I'll come back and update this thread. I wouldn't spread dangerous advice.
Thanks again, Chris.
Hi, I want to upgrade the card wifi realtek to one that has the 5 GHz conection, I don't know if my laptop can be upgraded to for example Intel AC 7260 or one that has 5 ghz
See your service manual. It seems that Intel Wireless-N 7260BN 802.11 bgn 2 x 2 Wi - Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo adapter will work. Part number 717384-001 replacement (google this number to check availability).
Look on the Dual Band Wireless-N adapter section for further discussion.
Can you tell me which is the last card that I could update. Thank you
Supported wireless cards:
● Intel Centrino Wireless - N 2230 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth Combo Adapter 670290-001 2 × 2
● HB125 Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi (some models only) 675794-001 adapter 1 × 1
● Ralink RT3290LE 802.11 b/g/n 1 x 1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 690020-001
● WiFi Ralink RT5390R 802.11 b/g/n 1 × 1 (some models only) 691415-001
Only the cards above, with the HP part number, will work.
2230 Intel is the best, but still only a 2.4 ghz card; can't do the 5 ghz band.

I tried to download the drivers for my laptop ' HP for laptop - 15-r249tu "for Windows 8.1 x 64 to this link. But there is a problem. Which driver to download and install? I mean, under driver-network, there are drivers for WLAN provided by Broadcom and Qualcomm both. It is the same with Bluetooth. Which one should I download and install. Don't you know that this model has this device? In addition, versions of the drivers are listed separately. Shouldn't there be an option as
Manufacturer and model #.
|---> Version 1 (download)
|---> Version 2 (download)
|---> Version 3 (download)
Please don't suggest me to use the utility to auto detect. I just HATE IT! Please provide an option to choose which drivers to download manually and then export their links to download a file *.txt or both
Any help and action will be significant.

I am not employed by, nor should I represent HP.
I guess HP reorganizes the pilots in the entire series (different model numbers within this series with some different material), because to do otherwise would be too heavy and expensive to maintain the support pages.
In any case, here are the drivers wireless and bluetooth, that you need for your laptop model specific in accordance with the list of parts.
I have updates that will download, but will not install
Hi @help987 ,

If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Download and install the update manually and check if it helps.

Hello, after 'agreeing' Win10 two nights back cumulative update 1511 - all my keyboard shortcuts do not work as expected. Most of them do nothing and at least 2 do something other than advertised... seems this 'problem' arrived on the latest updates of OS (Win 7 or 8 Win), don't know if the previous solutions apply here-> but nothing out on the internet yet about Win10 and this problem.
Expect Microsoft to say, HP HP problem call. Expect HP to tell me Win10 question... classic update Microsoft call h/w - game of chickens and eggs from s/w.
Any ideas how to recover the shortcut keys? Laptop is quite popular multimedia streamer at home in the evening, so sad to lose the volume controls and screen... you don't know where all that is soft but in settings either. Thnx!
Well, I can answer my own post!
My laptop is new, only 2 months so I used option support guaranteed HP.
More explicit problem behavior is as such: 12 fn keys, 11 were shortened assignment by updating Windows HP. 10 wiped out all HP keyboard shortcut definitions and reallocated to 2 keys to go to windows start menu and help page for Google chrome (weird!).
Based on another similar question, I had already drilled in the Device Manager settings and HP support had me crushes the keyboard driver (which is only a 2006 pilot PS/2... seems old)... so no surprise driver setting did nothing...
HP support had me then download and flash the BIOS... as strange as the PC architecture still using a file of 2048 kb to disk BIOS system boot... who did it! I must say that I did not regularly updates the BIOS of the PC manufacturing and it's always the small nail little bite of the to do because it can make a device does not work if it does not stick...
Thus, it seems that the native HP keyboard shortcut assignment was reset correctly with the BIOS flash, which was totally cool as flashing the BIOS is the only way to see 'the good "ol days' settings screen monochrome low color with large fonts polyhedral. Hey I was already a student in second year at College when the first laboratory of PC with Win 3.1 and mice showed up to plant the day on the BACK and numbered menu selection to launch the 5 or 6 software loading to a PC... the good ' ol days.
Problem solved! Thank you HP support!
As the title says, I have improved my laptop Win 7 with Windows 8 Pro of Dreamspark (MSDNAA). I also did a clean install of Windows 8 Pro on my PC. Everything goes well on my PC. But on my laptop, the sound system system is cut off, even if the volume of the sound system to 100%. Metro applications notification sounds are silent, too. When I open the sound control panel, al sounds preview worked fine (also good default & custom programs to Windows 7). Also, I check the Windows startup sound 'play' & he play every time I start Windows. All the other audio music, videos, game apps, Internet, YouTube, Flash worked fine, the system of sound patterns are dumb. The audio files are all good, not corrupt, the volume of system sounds even on when I found these files on the array of sounds. But when I actually did things like navigate in File Explorer, connect devices USB, emptying recycled bin, there was simply no sound. I don't know if the problem is with my local Windows 7 account now be upgraded & linked with my Microsoft account, since I've heard of people having the same problem & had to create a new account for. Maybe there's something wrong with the admin permissions that prevent the audio to trigger when the events occur. There is nothing wrong with the audio driver since I've upgraded to the latest Realtek HD 2.70 (support Win 8) on both my laptop & PC, has worked on PC & except for this problem, worked fine with any other audio source on my laptop. Help, please. Thank you!
PS: My laptop is a screen touch 2 - pt 2010, but still usable with the new startup screen. Just info, no doubt, that it has nothing to do with this problem. Although I found it less intuitive than Win 7 desktop. In Windows 7, you can actually swipe to go back & set out in Explorer, touch 2 fingers to right click (rather than just hold), the touchpad had same suggestion of words like WP7. None of them work in the Office of Windows 8. Improve the Office to be more touch optimized, since now the Metro user interface is fully developed. Just say "." Instead, I'm in love, especially on my PC because it run so fast without a hitch!
I think I found the solution. There is a DWORD key "Mute" in my HKCU root key. Delete it & it's back to normal. I don't understand why there is this key exists.
HP 2000-2a20CA with Windows 7 64 bit laptop
Made a few updates to HP.
My Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 wireless adapter, now does not check the networks available to connect.
Tried to uninstall the driver in Device Manager, uninstall the device and back running and let it reinstall itself and a system restore to an earlier date before the initial download of the update. Even tried a download of Atheros.
Still will not see one of the available WiFi networks even though it says its permit.
To access my WiFi router, I had to manually enter IP address and details etc to access the router and internet.
Thank youHP 2000-2a20CA, running Windows 10 laptop
Think its been solved.
Find a list of control for the problem and found that the "Remote Procedure Call" is not started and defined in the manual.
Spent in the car and started.
If that was the problem or not, I can now see all of the available WiFi networks.
Hi everyone, before forward us here are the details of my laptop,
HP dv6 3264-ca
AMD Triple-core 2.1 GHz processor
6 GB OF RAM
128 MB of video memory
I would like to know if I install Windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop, it is finally possible to upgrade my RAM 16 GB.
I ran a check for my motherboard through CPU - z:
Chipset: AMD 785GX
Then Yes. Is it possible for my laptop manage anything more than 8 GB or the 16 GB?
The maximum memory capacity is 8 GB. The question that you will encounter when you try to install 8 GB memory modules is that is that there is no support current BIOS for this capacity modules.
If HP provides a BIOS updated which are supported by the modules of this ability, then installation of modules memory 8 GB won't be a problem. Until that happens, it will be a financial risk to buy the modules just to see if it will work.
I bought nine in January WiFi worked in Australia, the United Kingdom and China, where I work. Last month, I visited Hong Kong and used a system of hotel WiFi. Back in my city, WiFi at all initially reported as limited connection and would not have Internet access. I tried my home computer from a friend, with the same error, although his computer had no problem connecting. I tried to uncheck the box saying computer could cut in certain circumstances, i.e. I keep control. Now there is no Internet at all. The name of my WiFi system is visible, and the words "No Internet access. No WiFi is visible when I try to add WiFi. I have another computer that works perfectly on WiFi I have available. If I needed to re - install, how can I download the program and transfer to the ch?

See if the W7 32-bit drivers and the HP Probook 450 G2 software work on your model.
It has basically the same material.
Do not use the BIOS or firmware files well.
According to the list of parts on the link below, your laptop equipped with a card Realtek RTL8723BE 1 x 1 802.11b/g/n Wi - Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 combination WLAN, so use the Realtek wlan and bluetooth support above page Realtek drivers.

After installing the driver was the same, but at night when I was surfing on the internet LAN cable suddenly I saw the notification "Driver Installation" down right from my laptop. I was using LAN cable since my Wifi has created problems. After I opened device manager and I was shocked because all the pilot network, including bluetooth, wifi is there in the network adapter tab. I restart my laptop more then 10 times and I saw wifi works very well. I don't get why my laptop has so random.
I just bought a laptop compatible Bluetooth asking you a PIN for my Photosmart C309a to mating in order to install the printer. It seems that it is the only way that it will allow me to install the printer. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, have you tried 0000 because it is likely the number of standard pins. If this is not the case, check the bluetooth menu on the printer. It should be in the standard configuration menu, so press setup and scroll until see you Bluetooth settings.
