Dv7-1260us wireless driver problems

Formatted and installed Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit.  From all the drivers off http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3860646 and so far all works great except for the wireless.  When I try and run the installation of the driver provided on this installation page is never ending and windows asks if I would try to reinstall again.

I saw on another forum that this laptop has perhaps not an inside broadcom wireless adapter at all, maybe it has something to do with driver problems?

Hello

You can try to install the Atheros driver which is here.

This is the Broadcom W7 driver that is bound to the 550-000 series support page.

It seems terrible old for me that is why I didn't post it.

This package provides the driver Broadcom Wireless LAN (WLAN) in the supported desktop models and operating systems.

    File name: sp68997.exe

If this does not work either I suggest to reinstall W7 because all experimentation driver you have probably messed up the registry.

Check the hardware ID of the device with the taken ID's supported by the drivers that I posted.

The one I posted is supported by models with the following ID as set forth in the driver installation information file.

    ; x 64 (AMD64, Intel's EM64T) - Win7
    ;
    [BROADCOM. NTamd64.6.1]

  • Sierra Wireless driver problem

I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my T60.

I downloaded and installed every recommended driver for Windows and Thinkpad, and I keep getting a warning "found nerw material."

I can't no matter which driver to work, and uninstall the device does not work... it keeps coming back.

What can I do to get this problem go away?

    Thank you

    John

I installed all the files recommended by the Thinkvantage system. I found the problem. This driver does not automatically install as all the Thinkvantage software. This requires that track down you the installation folder and run a file that is stored there. After loading it works fine. I'm not clear that this Sierra Wireless driver means anyway. My wireless was working fine without it. Thanks for your help. John

  • Wireless driver problem: intalled windows xp on vista

    Hello.

    I have a HP Pavilion a6857c PC.

Just formatted my original OS vista and installed XP Professional with service pack 2.

I got nice eveything and drivers running, all the light, monitor, and sound.

I connected to the internet via an ethernet cable.

My problem is that I don't see a connection without wire or wireless driver installed.

On my vista, the pilots were:

-Module of Dualband Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless network

    -Realtek RTL8168C9P) / 8111 (p) d\family PCI-E gigabit ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)

    From now on XP, I

    -1394 network adapter

    -Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

What should I do for my wireless works on windows XP?

    Thanks for any help!

    Marceli

A latest driver to try. Uninstall all software and drivers Atheros you see in Panel, add & remove programs first. Download the file and save it. Unplug the ethernet cable and restart the machine. Then run the downloaded file.

  • 15 - r210dx: Wireless driver problem

My laptop comes with windows 8. But I wanted to use windows 7 64 bit which I'm more comfortable with it. I used diskpart and erase all the data and then converted the HARD of GPT on the MBR disk. Then I installed 7 easily. Now the question is, I downloaded all wireless driver from "http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-r200-Notebook-PC-series/7486447/model/7812758#... ". but none of them works. Please help me find the right driver that I need to connect to wireless internet.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Edge E320 - wireless driver problem

Just receive the boss a new computer laptop - Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E320, abut Win 7 Pro on a clean install as usual, although Win 7 captures not many drivers automatically, so I had to download, which was very good...

However, when I restart, the Wireless driver seems to change / fail, still shows as "Intel(r) WiFi Link 1000BGN" in Manager devices, but watch with an exclamation point...

I tried reinstalling the driver, but after a reboot, it happens again...

If anyone can suggest a fix for this, I'd be eager to try it!

    Hello

I was already using the latest version of the driver...

I solved this by running again the driver installation, but by choosing repair - all sub-options have been barred, so I enabled those and the installation was completely different and has worked...

  • HP dv7-4080us wireless card problem

HP Support Assistant recently had me download a new driver for the card wireless Intel Wifi Link 1000 BGN on my HP dv7-4080us laptop. After the update, the card wireless could not be detected, so I shut down the computer and turned on again. During the boot process, a check of the hard drive was made, and hundreds of messages about corrupt files displayed. I do not know the extent of the corruption, and my wireless card cannot always be detected. I can't use a previous system restore point, because somehow the hard drive space allocated for restore points has been set at 0%. Any suggestions on the best way to go about fixing this?

    Update:

I was previously impossible to restore to the previous driver, these options are dimmed in the Device Manager. After another reboot, they worked, and I restored the WiFi capabilities. However, my anti-virus software is unable to locate its base of virus, probably due to corrupt files. I reinstall the software now. I don't know what other problems caused file corruption. I am hoping that a new installation of the operating system is not necessary.

  • HP Compaq Presario CQ61-355SQ - wireless driver problem - need help

    Hello

First of all, I would like to thank all the people posting here some very interesting information on installing the drivers under Win XP. You do a great job!

I followed the steps described in the guide and I arrived to install most of them (chipset intel, nvidia graphics, realtek network card)

The only problem I have now is with the WiFi card driver intel. From here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Operating-systems-and-software/General-XP-Downgrade-Guide-for-HP-Laptop... I tried this:

Intel Wireless, (Note: MS Windows Installer 3.1or later, must be installed), here

and he did not sense that accrued installers ok but nothing happened, in Device Manager, no change has been made. After that I tried the method with 'Have disk', I chose in the list and tried some of the drivers, but in Device Manager it says that the "device cannot start".

    What could try then?

    Help, please

Is that what you have installed MS Windows Installer 3.1?

Indeed you have intel wireless, try sp45837, here

  • Network wireless driver problem

    Hello

The hard drive in my HP Touchsmart tm2-2150us failed recently, and I come to him took over and did a new install of windows 7-64 bit. I went here and installed the drivers and everything seemed to work except the network driver. I can connect to the internet via ethernet, but the Wireless does not work. Under 'show network cards,' no ethernet wifi adapter is indicated, just ethernet. I tried to install each of the drivers listed wireless (I don't know why there is so much) and restarted between each of them, but none of them worked.

I'm running out of ideas of things to try, someone at - it ideas?

  • dv7-1279wm wireless driver not installed but worked before

My wireless turn on the good, and now it does not and says that the driver is not installed. Ugh I tried everything HELP PLEASE!

This part is very easy to find and replace yourself. If you take the service cover from the bottom of your laptop, you should see a map with two sons (a white or grey, black) attached to it. It should also have a HP number on there part as 455549-003 or similar. Just look for a place like Ebay or Amazon for the part number on the wifi card, you have, and it should pull straight upward.

  • Pavilion dv7 - 4263cl: hard drive problems

Long story short, OS could not start windows with a missing BOOTMGR message, recovery disc, not work, ordered new HP recovery disks.  To cover, I ordered a new hard drive to replace it, with the same characteristics but a 1 Toshiba to.

OK, installed the hard drive and used recovery disks at HP, but when you restart always get BOOTMGR missing error message.  Make a new recovery disk for windows 7 64 bit internet and serious on a bootable CD.  It starts, but found recovery does not list an OS system on hard drive.   Did the hard restart more once, install hardrive checked again, the cables and connections.  Took another installation of the HP recovery discs and also led a bootable disc that was to fix the problems with installing a new HHD and activation of the HHD working properly. Working always nothing. Get the same message.  Cast recovery manager got into the prompt orders and done a repair of the bootrec nothing / new. Checked the directory and found at the bottom of the list that it lists zero OS System.  So, how can I get my hard drive formatted to accept the installation of the OS? Any ideas to try, I have read and tried all the messages, I could very well on this forum.   Thank you...

Thanks for the reply, yes my hard drive failed and I installed a new one, but after using the purchased HP recovery disc though HP, showed that a black bootmgr error saying screen was missing.

Found on the HP disks partitioned hard drive, with windows on X:\ but was again start-up C:\ which was just a recovery image.   X drive was not complete, he lacked all the drivers and could not activate or change and C disc drive letter. I didn't know how to do this in the command prompt.

Fixed my problem with a windows 7 installation no disc not the recovery disks that came from HP, if all goes well, they will work to reinstall all drivers to the laptop, but we'll see.  Used (computer repair) on the installation disk and it repaired the bootmgr.  Thanks anyway...

  • DV7-3160us: hard drive problem or the operating system?

After the HP screen, I get a black screen that says: Boot Device not found please install an operating system on your hard drive. Hard drive-(3F0).  But if I hit the f4 key it states: there is no hard drive.

If anyone out there can answer to this dilemma, I just need to make the recovery discs or replace the hard drive?

Thank you, had an independent check that the drive was dead. Can be fixed, but still old technology was so not worth.

  • DV7-4273us wireless and other software problems.

I did a clean install of Windows on a HP Dv7-4273US and he has a radio wireless broadcom in it, but according to the support of HP site for this model, there is no.  Well, I found the driver for the broadcom wireless radio, but whenever I start the computer it requires me to press the F12 key a couple of times to turn on the wireless radio.  Of course, sucks.  Well, I know I need to insall the HP Wireless Assistant so the software if it turn on automatically.  Only problem is the HP support page does not include the Wireless Assistant for this model.  I tried on a half dozen different ones (from previous HPs I've worked on) that are laying around, but they all said that the model is not supported.  Can you please give me a verson of this software for this machine, or point me in the right direction?  Thank you and please see attached for references!

This would be the wireless driver, you must use in your model.

If your wireless network adapter appears in Device Manager, there should be no need to use the wireless assistant.

You can try this software HP Wireless Assistant of the dv7-4xxx, another model.
