DV7 windows 7 running slow

computer laptop dv7 runs very slowly - the problem is the following:

1 I couldn't restore the ghost image - it turns out that the drive is in a dynamic way

2 I did a backup of files

3 I changed the drive on the shoulders - the same partition layout

4 a loading of partition rcovery system

5 that everything does not work - no possibility to update windows 7

6 download a patch of sp... from hp on the drive and there is a possibility of renovation

7 when I start to update the system starts working slowly, the update of the system upgrade 133 over step comes very slowly the next update last for 6 to 8 hours

8. I downloaded the system recovery discs I erased the disc and shared the partitions on the 1 to C to C and D 400 GB 500 GB, I put the system from scratch and on the same

9 currently only please update Chrome and Windows 7 without antivirus and other programs, I downloaded some 150 update and the system is still running slow - sometimes stutters mouse, wait for everything to write this update, you can better bezi

What could be the cause of these problems with the operation of the system?

Hard checked back into the program to WD - no error.

I would add that before to convert a dynamic disk to basic everything worked fine.

I solved the problem.

I have disabled the economy of energy,
I put a high-performance computer.

Simple but helped :-)

Now, I have no problem with the work computer.

Thank you for your help.

My Acer One ZG 5 is apparently very slow a file called scvhost.exe (I think) eats memory. What can I do?

What is useful or even possible to upgrade to windows 7?

    Hello

Svchost.exe is a process on the computer that hosts, or contains, other individual services that Windows uses to perform various functions. For example, Windows Defender uses a service that is hosted by a svchost.exe process.

There may be multiple instances of svchost.exe running on your computer, each instance containing different services. One instance of svchost.exe can host a single service for a program, and another instance can host several services related to Windows. You can use Manager tasks to display services running under each instance of svchost.exe.

To view the services that are running under svchost.exe:

    (a) open the Manager the tasks by right-clicking on the taskbar and then click Task Manager.
    (b) click on process tab.
    (c) If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    (d) Hovering mouse on one of the processes will show you a list of all the services.

  • Windows 7 running slow will be upgraded to windows 10 clear of problems

I am running windows 7 Professional 64-bit, but it raised a number of questions and is slow.

The standard way to solve this would be to do a clean reinstall.  If I want to upgrade to Windows professional 10 this will have the same effect, or I have to re - install Windows 7 first before the upgrade.

Also, on my second computer I am also running P 7 Professional but the 32 bit version.  Can I download the Windows Professional 64-bit for this machine 10 and doing a full install instead of upgrade Windows 7 32-bit to 32-bit Windows 10.

  • Windows 7 running slow at startup to the top

I had problems with Win 7 Starter & slugglishly running in general in recent weeks. I did a clean installation a few months ago & everything was OK but now I notice a lag in just about everything, even small things such as opening a new tab in IE seem to cause a delay that did not previously exist.

IM compares to my machine Win7 I use at work that runs a lot faster (C2D 2.8 ghz, 2 GB ram) which is in contrast to my home pc which is a quad core with 2 GB & a lot less open applications (I'm at work now with MANY open apps & still run faster than my PC with no apps open all the House!)

Time opening IE8 reboot & loading the homepage is apprx 3.5 minutes (slower even than my old Vista laptop). Ive done all the cleaning I can use C Cleaner, emptied the trash, removed rarely used applications etc.. Everything which is still connected is my printer, the KB & mouse, also ran MSConfig & make all the necessary changes so that he can run faster, but none of this has made ALL the difference - outside to do a fresh install of W7 I don't know what I can do.

Also tried starting in Firefox or Chrome instead of IE8 but its still just as slow (is also used with compensation history of IE8, cookies, etc.). Even things like Win explore & Control Panel are slow at any time, as is the search engine that is supposed to be indexed but still chuggs along for more than a few seconds (once again my work PC is very fast in this regard with a lot more files potentially be examined). Office 2010 also takes about 20-30 seconds to open Word or Excel, once again my work PC starts immediately...

Another aspect of stress that has never caused problems in the past, my main drive (160 GB) is partitioned into 2 sections (50 / 50 split apprx)-many spare parts on the 'C' drive and even again on the data section. I also have a secondary internal HDD 320 for data only, both drives are 7200 RPM - is there something here that is causing a problem with Win7 that never affected XP?

HARD drives are all defragged using Diskeeper in game & forget mode - all showing healthy

Can someone suggest a remedy for my sick PC?

    =================================

Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leaving Standard, Web, and
    Operation of the network.

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
    right of IE)

Two versions of Avast are available 5.x and 4.8 x

Avast - home - free - 5.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-
Click on the Orange icon - top right - settings - click on the status bar - uncheck shields you
    disabled - click OK
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

Avast 4.8 x - home - free - stop shields, you don't need except leaving Standard, Web,.
and the network running. (Double-click the blue icon - look OK. - upper left - Shields details
    Finish those you don't use).
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download#TAB4

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - home - free small, fast, exceptional protection CLOUD, working with other security
programs. It is a single scanner, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something come back here
or use Google to see how to remove.
    http://www.prevx.com/   <-->

    PCmag - Prevx - Editor's choice
    http://www.PCMag.com/Article2/0, 2817,2346862,00.asp

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever think malware and that
would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie
(not much), to UPDATE and then run it as a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they
never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

  • Windows 8 running slow as hell!

I'm really tired of Windows 8, I bought a new PC to work about 6 months with the following specifications:

Processor: AMD E1 - 2500 APU with 1.40 Ghz Radeon HD graphics card
    RAM: 6.00 GB
    HARD drive: 1 TB
    Running: Windows 8.1 (x 64)

I've used only 44 Gb of HARD disk space and have only 7 installed programs, they are as follows:

    AutoCAD 2014
    Canon printer utility
    CCleaner
    Dropbox
    Google Chrome
    Vuze
    ESET Smart Security

Now run Google Chrome slows down my PC to a stand still sometimes and makes AutoCAD running. I know that this program uses a lot of memory, but this is why I made sure I got enough RAM to cover. I even cut down on most of the Visual styles in order to speed things up. I have no virus and everything is clean and it is still slow.

Now, I also have a Macbook Air with lower form of RAM and HARD disk space and it works like a dream, why can't Microsoft provides this level of simplicity and service? is - that so much to ask?
I don't use all the 'apps' or something like that while can't be slow me down. Any help to speed up my performance would be greatly appreciated.

Stay very far away from what you call a 'PC Booster'. This kind of
program more often causes or aggravates the problems, rather than fixing
    them.

There are several possibilities for what are the causes of poor performance, but

    Hi Charlesdurbin,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

If I understand correctly you have a performance issue with your computer and the Internet.

He would be grateful if you can answer these questions to help you further.

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
    2. what version of Internet Explorer you are using, if you are using Internet Explorer?
    3. is it limited while accessing a particular application?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again, the data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
