dv7t 7300
Does HP have, or give a CD of driver that supports Windows 7 to my laptop, series CTO dv7t-7300, or will be HP
support to convert my laptop for windows 7? I understand that a cost is involved. I already have very
a copy of Windows 7 Pro.Windows 8 is terrible and should not have been offered on a Non touchscreen laptop.
When you request support, please provide the product full of HP computer in issue number. HP/Compaq made thousands of computer models. Without this information, it can be difficult, even impossible to help you solve your problem.
The information requested above are at the bottom of your computer or inside the battery compartment. , Please do not include your serial number.
WARNING *.
HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.
Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.
You should ENABLE 'Secure Boot' and maybe 'Legacy Support' in the 'BIOS Setup boot secured' on the settings page below, before you try to install Windows 7;
In addition, as the hard drive is partitioned as TPG, you must start the computer by using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" in the start menu "F9". If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or something to that effect does not exist in the start menu, please post a screenshot and/or make startup listed options.
I suggest to use a disc of Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need a Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive.
For your model, HP seems to provide that drivers of Windows 8. Most of the Windows 7 driver for the page of CTO Select Edition Entertainment Notebook PC drivers HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 should work on your computer from HP dv6t-7300.
If you have missing or unknown devices after installing the drivers above, thanks for posting the "Hardware ID" Device Manager for devices as shown below;

Add SSD to question dv7t-7300 HP Envy.
I ordered a custom of dv7t-7300 HP Envy. I want to add an SSD, something along the lines of an SSD of 7.5 mm. I just need to know a few things.
(1) given that the computer just that with a HARD drive (depending on configuration), is the second drive Bay hard to a 'HARD drive enclosure? And if so, should be 7.5 mm 2.5-inch SSD, or it must be a 9.5 mm SSD?
(2) if the caddy is not included, where can I get one? And should it be a basket, or is it implemented different now?
Any other information you can provide would be great! Thank you.Nothing like that self-help. Return it. On the back of it is a large "T" plate shaped. Remove the screws, pull it out and look inside. You have two hard drive bays. Are all dv7s to dual hard drives, but the method to connect readers varies a little.
See instructions starting on Page 49 of the above link Sevice manual.
An SSD will work in each Bay. I would use the SSD as drive for the operating system to take advantage of the speed of the thing, which is really amazing to see the first time you see it. There is also a place for a WSSD, but there is no need of a GSU if you use an SSD as your primary drive. Still if you want uberstorage you could spend a ton and purchase a 256 GB WSSD and have actually three usable discs.

No AHCI? Samsung 840 Pro? HP Dv7t-7300
Hey guys, I noticed today that by virtue of the HP BIOS options is an AHCI option. They don't let you change to all modes. I have a HP Dv7t - 7300 laptop. I bought a new SSD for performance gains, but I was wondering will I get full use out of it. At first I was getting really good at reading and writing speeds, but it slowed to about 300 now. Does anyone know if I should just leave it as what or try to configure for optimal performance. In Device Manager, I see only a driver who says RAID SATA AHCI not. I have attached the photos below. The old hard drive is now always in the laptop but on the second SATA port. The magician of Samsung software also tells me that AHCI is not active. Is this normal for the SSD performance fluctuations?

The BIOS in double bay dv7 models is not set to RAID, AHCI, and cannot be changed. But don't worry it is ahci compatible RAID. Files of native and other functions necessary to support an SSD are present. I would be not too wrapped in reference SSD speeds. 300 Mbps is very fast. How does it feel?

Hello, I have problems finding the right replacement for my hp laptop part. I have a laptop that needs to have his replaced fan/radiator. The laptop is the HP ENVY laptop dv7t-7300 CTO Quad Edition. I went online and find the service manual for the computer to find the spare part. There was a list of spare parts for the different variants of models.
The results of narrowed it down in 2 results for spare parts. A fan/radiator was for a graphics subsystem with discrete memory and the other fan/radiator for a graphics system with memory UMA. I don't know which one is for my computer, could you please help clarify? The part 682061-001 or 682060-001 part?
Model No.: dv7t-7300
Product #: C2Y65AV
[Personal information]
Hello
No, I'm talking about Device Manager. Hope that the sticker is good then your machine's discreet graphics because:
- The UMA version applies to the motherboard that does not have a separate dedicated graphics chip. On this version, the graphics processing is managed by the North bridge chipset.
- The discreet version applies to the motherboard with a separate chip to achieve all the graphics processors.
Based on the sticker, your machine has NVIDIA GEFORCE GT M 635
Kind regards.

Upgrading the graphics card on HP ENVY dv7t-7300 affects it?
It's a customizable option to install the NVIDIA GT 635 m instead of the Intel Hd Graphics 4000 in the HP store, I was wondering if this change affects the laptop anyway?
Thank youanaswardeh wrote:

Thank youHello
The choice of nVidia or Intel HD 4000 graph means that there is a different motherboard. I think that the motherboard with the Intel chip is not having a dedicated graphics (nVidia or ATI) and use only the graphics chip integrated into the processor which is the Intel HD 4000 processors Ivy Bridge (HD 3000 on Sandy Bridge ones). If you choose the option with the nVidia graphics card, it will have a graphics chip dedicated (with its own graphics memory XGB of DDR3/5) and you can choose (in the BIOS or using Nvidia Optimus) between two graphics cards because the Intel HD 4000 will always be there as part of the CPU.
I don't think you can upgrade the graphics card later because the card is soldered to the motherboard and the only option how update the graphics card is to replace the motherboard with a more powerful graphics chip already on it.
The option with the nVidia chip will be more expensive but worth it because the graphics card from nVidia is more powerful than the Intel HD 4000.

I have a HP Envy and I would like to install an SSD in a Bay. I did a post on how to do it.
The talks on a HP Envy dv7t-7300. I'm not anywhere "dv7t-7300' as a model number. Where can I find the model number?
Also what SSD I do buy, sata, sata II or sata III?
The serial number of the system is [edited by Moderator], if it is useful.
Thank you to edit my post.
I found my model under the battery number. My product number is c8u19av. I just bought this computer in January, so I guess it's the last sata drive.
Before ordering a SSD, I want to be sure what number of sata I need.

Printer HP Officejet 7300 network series that allows to work flawlessly with El Capitan does not work after the upgrade to Sierra.
With macOS Sierra, when used as a network print service printer works fine however scan does not work. Programs like the Image Capture, HP Easy Scan etc does not see the printer. However, if the printer is directly connected to the Macbook Pro using the usb cable, a new printer is added to the list of printers (it shows print and scan functions while the printer network in the list shows only printing function) and the scanner works well with Image Capture, etc. If the usb cable is removed disconnects this printer in the list and there is no way to turn it on. I have the latest update for the printer installed from the App store. It looks like a driver issue, but I wonder if there is a work around for this problem...
Open Preview.app. Under file in the menu bar, you see import of 'name of your scanner?

one by the xerox phaser 7300 printer will work with El captain
One by the xerox phaser 7300 printer to become compatible with the captain. Xerox shows no current drivers available?
I think that the support dropped for Phaser 7300 Xerox about 10.6.8. If the generic postscript driver is not good enough for you consider trying the Gutenprint drivers:
http://GIMP-print.sourceforge.NET/MacOSX.php
I don't have access to a Phaser 7300 so I can't comment on the way in which these solutions work, but IME, Gutenprint drivers are usually pretty good.

I have a problem starting with my (slightly more than 2 years) HP Elite 7300 Mt. startup stops at the screen to invent it. No response to any strike whatsoever, even the lights on the keyboard (keylock, numlock, capslock) are off and do not respond to press the keys.
I tried to remove all THE connections from the motherboard (including the system fans), only the power and the façade remained connected, but which did not help. Put in market with all the memory removed too resulted in continuous beep (as expected). Swap memory with a newly purchased module has not solved the problem.
Suggestions anyone?

HP Elite 7300: imminent hard drive failure
Hello
I have a desktop hp elite 7300 with windows 7
I get the rather alarming message that my hard drive is about to fail.
So I bought a new SSD.
How can I move windows 7 to the new drive?
Kind regards
Scarab
To have a upgrade kit, it is exactly what you need to buy. The second SSD purchase I made for one of my own systems was a upgrade kit in the future in mind. Once you have the kit that comes with the cable and the software, you are ready for the future updates for SSDS on other systems. Usually a major supplier of SSD has free cloning software available for download. It's just being customer friendly. Samsung and Corsair are like that.
Paragon software and others sell SSDS cloning of the software applications that will do exactly what you need. There are free applications that clones since the current for the SSD hard drive.
You can pick up the usb converter cable to SATA to an online retailer or a local store for a price relatively low.

ENVY dv6t-7300 CTO Quad Editio: Envy dv6 IDT sound card does not
Recently, the sound card for computer laptop has had problems. For a month or two I get appears randomly in my audio using several 1/8 "cables to my speakers and headphones. Now my problem is that the card is not to give me audio quality and it seems that I need a replacement. Its really quiet compared to normal and audio pieces of low frequencies and sounds just awful. My laptop is an essential part of my work, so I would like to know what options I have to replace. First of all, I want to make sure that the card is replaceable quality even if not better. Secondly, is it possible for me to get the part sent home to replace me myself or maybe take in my laptop to the building to take only a short amount of time with her. I'm running on an audio interface I already owned for a long time, but it is inconvient for me to use when im to mobile OS. Please indicate all the options that I have new maps that will be filt with my current laptop (HP ENVY CTO 7300 dv6t Quad Edition Notebook PC), and all the options I have for the replacement of the card (remove old and replace it with the new.
The Riddle_Decipher is at your service!
I understand that you have been troubled by Audio drivers- I recommend you update the BIOS by using the tool HP Support assistant or the HP website.
- Once you update the bios > uninstall the current sound driver by using Device Manager > then use this LINK (ditto) to download the updated audio driver and that should fix this problem.
- For a diagnosis more > click here
- I also suggest a test of material on the sound card to be on a safer side: click here
