DV9000 boot question/blue dots on screen

I have a HP Pavilion dv9000 Laptop that is having some problems.  I was playing a game on when he's locked up.  I did a hard reboot because nothing else would respond and that when the problem started.

If I start it on a regular basis, I get a blue screen of death and cannot do anything else.  I can, however to start it in safe mode, and it is functional, except that it has little blue dots covering the screen.

I wonder if this is part of the same GPU issue that everybody has with these computers, or is it something else?

Also, is there a solution?

Here is a picture of her boot into safe mode. The lines of dots on the screen do not fade.

This means that the video solution (video chip in the case of your laptop) to your laptop is a failure.

Your laptop is a generation before solutions switchable and other discrete graphics of current day, so he does not have many options.

The only thing to do to solve this problem for most people is to replace the motherboard or replace the laptop.

I wish I could give you better news, but I can't.

Best regards

ERICO

I could see that your troubleshooting resulted in a conclusion that your HARD drive is defective, which confirmed my suspicions.

  • Blue dot on my videos?

For some time now, there is this small blue dot on half of the screen every time I'm in video mode, and it appears also in video playback. I have already confirmed that it is not the goal, since it highlights any lens I use. How can I get my camera back to normal?

(On this picture, the blue dot is near the elbow of this man).

    Try this:

Remove the lens and the lens on the camera Cap. Cover the viewfinder and in the menu of Canon, a sensor manual cleaning and allow the device to be active for at least a minute. Repeat this until the blue spot disappear.

The step from that is the Canon repair center.

  • Satellite A660 boots up to the black screen with blinking cursor not upper left

My new Satellite A660-10W sometimes (not always), when turned on, boots up to a black screen with a flashing cursor in the top left. If I stop by pressing the power button, it stops immediately. I then wait a few seconds and press the power button again and then it usually starts very well.

Could it be updated during this process and I'll be more patient (usually wait a few minutes) before shutting down when this happens?

Usually something like that shouldn't happen. Satellite A660 is no different from all the other models and OS must be loaded shortly after Toshiba welcome screen appears.

  • Stuck on blue HP Invent screen and not loading Windows not items on the desktop after you done a system recovery

Hello, this is my first time posting here, because I'm in desperate mode!  I have a HP Pavilion Slimline s5304y using Windows 7, desktop pc that I bought in February 2010.

After getting a virus on my computer, I ordered system of HP recovery disks, and made to factory settings recovery process (twice!), however, during the Windows install process, it never cross the blue HP Invent screen that says:

-Do not turn off your PC during this unique installation process

-Your PC will restart several times during the installation process

-Messages may appear on your screen. Ignore these messages until you are prompted to restart or shut down your PC

To the bottom of the screen, it keeps saying "Please wait...". "with a green scroll bar. What I see is the buttom to start at the bottom left corner but I am not able to access anything whatsoever and I never get my desktop screen or the desktop icons. I restarted and closed several times, and as soon as I log on windows, I just get the same blue screen.

The 2nd time I did the recovery process, I let him continue overnight (just in case I was not waiting long enough) and my computer never stop as it was supposed to when the installation is complete.  In addition, the whole process, I looked the first time around and my computer never restarted as he said he was supposed to; It seems to just be stuck for the rest of the installation procedure for windows.  There finally comes to switch to "standby" mode.

I have nothing plugged on the other except the power cord, monitor, and keyboard/mouse.  I have not installed new hardware since I bought the computer.

I did a test of diagnosis and everything going on.

I tried to get help from HP Support, but because I am out of the warranty period, they cannot help me and want to charge me $99!

I don't know what else to do at this point. Can someone please?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Assuming that maybe that's a problem with the recovery discs, it is a simple work-around if you have (or can borrow) an installation disc Windows 7 at retail which is exactly the same version as your OEM installation - IE if your PC comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, it comes to the exact retail version that you would need.

If you do not access to the retail drives, you can create an installation disk yourself - just download good picture disc from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/Download-Windows-7-ISO-official-32-bit-and-64-bit-direct-download-link...

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the sticker COST on your PC on demand, and when the installation is complete, use the 'method of phone", described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want just a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally delivered with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

Additional drivers, you may need can be found here.

    Kind regards

  • Cannot run mxml file, which means green & blue dot arrow?

I continue to have a situation with Flash Burrito that I lose the ability to run an application mxml file.  What I see is the small green triangles on the file endangered icon, and then I can run as is more the file.

Please Note: I work through examples of code, where this code lists on 6-7 different level application mxml files in the default package.

Please also note: one of the mxml files listed has blue dots on its file icon. However, I do not remember in the performer mode debugging, and it does not appear as a file that has been run in the past in launch mode debug (as shown in the Debug Perspective).

Anyone can do the light on this issue, or what means the green arrow and the blue dot on the top icons of mxml file?

    Thank you

    Hello

The green arrow indicates that it is an application. The blue dot indicates that it is the application 'by default'. In Flash Builder, the default application gets preference for the launch.

If your green triangles are disappearing, then it means that Flash Builder think that these files are no longer "Applications". You can change it manually by going to project-> Applications Flex properties.

    Thank you
