Hello everyone, I spent the time to research on the here and the other site on why the CD/DVD does not work with El Capitan 10.11.5 on MacBook Pro mid 2009. This discussion forum has said that he will not work with the El Capitan software. Any idea or suggestion? Back to Marverick or Yosemite? I tried to use SMC reset, restart, recovery and still the same issue.

    I thank in advance.

    ~ Mike

I have my doubts that the (10.11.5) software is the problem.  Are you sure that the DVD player is simply not defective?  Have you tried to clean the lens?  What is the State of the disc?

  • Satellite A100: Recovery DVD does not work

I want to restore my Toshiba Satellite A100 laptop to its original factory condition, but the DVD that comes with the package of recovery does not work...

I have load to start computer press F12, and it starts on the DVD. It says "Loading RAMDISK Image", after which I am told by Toshiba customer service there should be options to clean up the hard drive or restore Windows XP.

However, after VIRTUAL disk, I see a cursor on a black screen, and then the laptop off and restarts. After the connection, NO CHANGES made...

What is the problem with that? How can I really use this recovery DVD?
    Someone help me please.

    Thank you.

    Hello

The recovery procedure is not difficult.
Just try to boot from the recovery CD or DVD and follow the Guide on the screen line.

Your problem is very strange. You have created all the partitions on the HARD drive?
I put really t know why your recovery CD doesn't work properly, but I think you should try to completely format the disk (also partitions), then try to boot from the recovery CD.

Don't forget that the laptop is in the boot mode. (don t mix the standby or hibernation mode)

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

I have a laptop Compaq Presario F700 under Windows Vista Home Premium.  For the first year and a half i have owned my laptop, my CD/DVD drive worked perfectly.  A month ago it has stopped working completely.  It does not appear in my computer or Device Manager and it does not open.  I don't think that the drive is defective because it will open when the first Compaq screen shows up, but when the Microsoft Corporation loading screen is up, it stops working.  I used Google to good use, but none of the solutions I found worked.  I tried to delete upper and lower filters but they aren't there, and I tried all the solutions Microsoft Fix - It nothing works.

  • Menu DVD does not work

I created a DVD-video using Windows DVD Maker, and they used to play fine.  Now, no matter what I try to play to play on, for example Windows Media Player, DVD player, etc., can't do the menu to answer.  The menu arrives, but the play button does not respond.  Help!

Is there a way to delete the menu easily and completely.  Thank you.

I checked the DVD.  There is no scratches and I cleaned it up to them to ensure that they do not have fingerprints, etc..  What happens to all the DVD on a PC with Vista and with Windows DVD Maker.  If I'm unable to remove the Windows DVD Menu, the content of the DVD will be lost.  I tried even to copy the contents of the disc on the desktop and it works from there.  Same result.  When I play the video, it comes to the Menu created by Windows DVD Maker.  When I try to "run" the botton element or game menu, it does not.  I tried several different DVD players and PCs.  There must be a way to remove the menu from the video file.  Let me know if you can ask a technician for an answer.  Thank you.

    ================================================
Once a DVD is burned... you can't delete anything from him, but as you
already know... you can copy the files.

When you copied the files on your desktop you see a VIDEO_TS folder?

Open the VIDEO_TS folder and you should see VOB files... those are your
video files. If you can't play them as is... try ranaming them in MPG and
You should be able to play them in Windows Media Player.
