  I bought the Acer (see topic) a few months ago and now decided to get an internal DVD player to this laptop. I know how to take the dummy/fake hunting, but I noticed that the shape of the lid is rare, so I can't buy a DVD player only from some store IT, as far as I understand. It would leave a significant opening to the lower cover of the laptop. The cover cannot be moved from the fake, is a permanent part of the plastic Assembly.

  I was struggling with this ACER for more than a year. I have do it I have back when it was still under warranty, 14 months ago. Now I've updated free online through Microsoft for Windows 10 back in early August. I had hoped that my mess was a stack of the operating system, but unfortunately, it's still a piece. However, there is no virus. I run Malwarebytes Pro full time with it has quarantined of PUPPIES as well as McAfee Anti Virus full time. I use cCleaner to keep cut up. I NEVER garguillo or browsed porn.

  I'm looking for an internal DVD burner for a model Satellite Pro A40 2.88 Celeron with a currently installed CD-RW/DVD-Rom. My mother is the owner of this laptop and I want to upgrade the drive for her.

  For this particular model, I could not find another A40 Pro which has a DVD - RW, only DVD ROM. I also suggest to buy an external DVD - RW writer because an internal hard drive will cost much more. Probably triple what external there. External, you can find for about 50 but internal will cost at least about 90 more taxes. I'm sure it is internal that correspond to this machine, but at the moment I don't have the time to research each compatible model search of the car, it's why I suggest an external drive.   You are mostly correct in your statement about CD/DVD players for your laptop. However, it is important that you buy only readers with dimensions similar to your current model.

  I get an error regarding a possible corruption with the driver for my DVD drive on my HP Envy (Windows 8) factory installed.  When I try to update the driver through the Device Manager, it says the best driver currently installed.  Unistal does not help either, and HP has no download available that I could find to get a copy of "fresh" to the driver.  Here, any help is greatly appreciated, the news of the event are below.

  I recently bought a v3-772 w / 32 GB of ram to use professional (I'm a c# developer). My company required me to install windows 8.1 Professional x 64, which is what I did. The machine works great, apart from two drivers:

  1 SM Bus controller

  2. device high definition audio

  Sound works, but when I connect the laptop to my tv via HDMI, there is no sound coming from the TV, but it all happens through the internal Laptop speakers.

  Please note that I am VERY tech-savvy, I tried the drivers supplied by the two victory 8, 8.1 (realtek) to win, but to no avail.

  Can someone explain to me where to find drivers for these two?

  I found a solution for the audio driver: installation of a 'new' version of the graphics driver corrected it (integration intel 4600 a)-given that it manages the HDMI one.

  I also found a solution for the SM Bus controller earlier: install the latest drivers from Intel chipset of intel (INF Update utility).

  Honestly, I do not understand why Acer offers older drivers on their website.

  Anyway - I'm happy - I hope I can help others with it.

  Any chance someone would know where Acer hides their legacy drivers. I have searched high and low for bluetooth driver for my Aspire 1410 chronology and nada. The acer download page returns a not found error when you select him aspire 1410. WIDCOMM drivers do not work. Broadcom does not recognize the chip and does not even allow the download of the driver. Especially do something so important. Error a little power and you might brick it. Acer also has a 8.1 recovery disk win via support Dept.

• Cannot get the cd/dvd driver for CD playback

  Earlier this year, my laptop has been infected by viruses, malware, etc. I used the program Spyware Doctor to remove any infections, but so many files and programs are removed.

  On the Device Manager CD-ROM/DVD-ROM driver TSSTcorp DVD +-RW TS - L632H ATA Device ended up having a typical yellow mark next to it and the cd player would not read cds or dvds. Somehow however his custom 'fixed' itself, but always play all discs.

  Light to the factory side, it opens and closes, and when a cd is put in it sounds as if its going to do something, but after a few seconds only stops and don't open the program or recognize the drive.   If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

  (c) in Device Manager, expand CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, right click on the device CD and DVD and then click on uninstall.

  d. When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click OK and restart the computer.

  e. After you restart the computer, the drivers will be installed automatically.
