DVD for all recovery discs?

I was doing a set of Windows 7 recovery discs, usning the Lenovo Thinkvantage tools and one of the first pop Windows that came said "Note: DVD RAM is not supported for CD 1 of the set of product recovery discs. This meen that I can't use a DVD for a resumption of the disks? It's all I have.

DVD + R and DVD-R discs need to be well, but me and others used systematically for the disc 1 CD, because DVD capacity is exaggerated for her. That said, I have games factory recovery disks for several newer machines that are all DVD.

DVD-RAM, which as you've seen is not supported for disk 1, refers to a rewrite of disc type: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD-RAM

Kind regards.

    Hello

First of all there is no drivers for Linux because Toshiba doesn t supports the Linux operating system. All Toshiba units are shipped with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
I also work with Linux, but I use a different distribution. I use Knoppix because I n t need to install anything whatsoever on the HARD drive and I can use this Linux as other Linux distributions.

  • Need to file for "TOHSIBA Recovery Disc Creator" on Satellite A205-s5825

    Hello

    I've got Satellite A205-s5825
Well, I'm 4,000 km of distance from my Toshiba Recovery DVD, comes with the box.
No problem - I can use the recovery disk creator... so I thought.

The laptop is less than a week in use, no partitions are changed, etc.
Well, page 59 of my guide tells me to 0 (zero) button while turning on the machine to start in the partition recovery... No, this won't work. I tried many different variations.

And 60 page told me to use the 'Office' for the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator icon.
No, there is no icon. It is the same graph icon here, but it is for "Toshiba Software Updates" and not "Recovery Disc Creator"

Toshiba Assist (executable program)... No, not help for this.
I looked in every path of C: trying to find out what executable mystery... and also any exploration of menu start... nothing.

I need Windows executable for "Recovery Disc Creator". (need name of file as trdc.exe or something else)
    Anyone know it?

    Thank you

(P.S. Shell repair when pressing F8 and asking "repair my computer" also does not provide the option to create recovery discs.
It assumes that you have already created those when in the shell.)

    Hello

It seems that it is not a European model possibly the American TV series so I put t know exactly how it works in the portable American TV series but by pressing the F8 key, and then choosing the option fix my computer would start the HDD recovery procedure.
It would be the same as restoring from Recovery CD or DVD.

The Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator must be also installed somewhere on the HARD drive.
I think you should check the folder programs and Toshiba.

  • Installed Windows on the bad disk partition (C :) and meant for the recovery disc (e :)))

    Hello world

My question is that I installed windows vista on the wrong partition. When I tried to do a re-install for partition recovery (e), I saw that the drive (C :) local was still installed with my last error when I first installed it on drive C: (OS) that is full. I didn't want to do, that I was going for the recovery disk (E :).

If I re - install windows on the recovery disk now, he will have to complete partitions. I'm just completely start over as if I first had an empty space to install an OS right the first time around when choosing the right partition.

It is on a latitude D630, where the BONE was full and the Data 2 which is the recovery disk (e) has free space that should have (c).

Any help is grateful, thank you.

Make sure that the important data that you have on the drive is backed up.

  • Satellite P35-6112 - looking for a recovery disc

    Hello

I am looking for a Toshiba Satellite P35-6112 recovery disk, my windows is completely out and can't go on or return to best Configuration safe mode... The laptop is 4 years old and the Toshiba recovery media does not include any drive for this laptop...

Please let me know if you have one, or where can I get a new one.

    Concerning

    Gerald Desmons

    Hello

AFAIK the Satellite P35 belongs to the American market and therefore, you should contact the nearest authorized service provider. Maybe guys can order a new disc of recovery for you:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com > locate a repair center

An alternative you can install Windows on a normal disc of Microsoft. All the drivers, you can download from the Toshiba page. :)

  • hp blue circle on black screen, can\ ' t access the boot options for the recovery disc

I have installed Symantec disk full encryption and encrypted hard drive. Then I restarted the pc. I get a black screen with a blue HP logo in the Center. The low right sysa message press the ESC key for startup menu, but no key is working. Each button gets a beep. If I turn the power off, then on and press the various f keys, I get different messages but still no answer from all the keys.

Symantec sent a disc of recovery for deencrypt the drive, but I can't get the pc to load from the drive. Any thoughts?. I reset the computer twice (battery and power cord, hold the power button / stop for 30 seconds)

I remove the hard drive and then turn on the laptop to see what answer the BIOS.

From your description of the problem, it sounds as if you may have encrypted the whole disc rather than only the C: volume or the BIOS ROM file is damaged.

You should be able to go beyond the HP screen to access the BIOS.

The BIOS should give complain that it cannot find a drive with a bootable operating system.

If this happens, and you have the recovery disk set or usb recovery media, life is good and you will need to take a look at the Symantek forum to see how to proceed with your encrypted drive.

If it does not then, the problem is the BIOS on the system board.

By pressing the ESC key and have the start menu appear is conditional on the BIOS being in good condition. Yours may be damaged. Try download a softpaq BIOS on another PC, extract the BIOS ROM file and put it on the root of a usb key. Put the USB key into a USB port on the laptop. Press the power button and immediately hold down the Windows key and start receiving the B key. If it works and you see an led flash, release the keys and wait. the process must load a BIOS file to replace the one damaged. This takes time, so be patient if you see a blinking led or no reaction from the laptop for a few minutes.

Post your results here and we can take the next steps, you can take.

  • Satellite A100-784 - how can I make another copy of my recovery disc DVD

    Hi all

I have the Satellite A100-784, which comes with Vista Home...
How could I make another copy of the DVD from my recovery disc?

Also, I don't have the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator... is downloadable?

    Hello

You n t have the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator, because this Toshiba Software is preinstalled on laptops equipped with HARD drive recovery option.
I presume that you have received a Toshiba Recovery disk this laptop doesn t allow HARD drive recovery.
Therefore, you cannot create a new DVD of recovery using the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator.

What you could do is to copy the supplied recovery disk.

  • Need help to use a recovery disc for v3 - 551

Sorry for my English, still a student.

OK, so after having received these 5 discs, one being the system disk, recovery of 1, 2, 3 then language pack.

The problem is I deleted my partition on the HARD drive so that I have order the recovery disk because apperently I can restore my system with the factory settings. The instructions State to

1: Insert the disc labeled System.

2: reboot the computer and press f12

3:when you are prompted for the recovery disc, remove the system disk and insert the first disc of recovery. blah blah ect

So apperently I have the "system disk" boot up first then I can use the recovery disks. The problem is that I am unable to because in order to start this system disk, I need to set up in the UEFI bios 'comes like this to factory settings' that's fine. Boots/loads fine then once for the disc to load Finally I gives me two options.

1: new installation of system disk C:

2: restore all partitions of HARD drive (it's what I want), but once I chose option 2 I get the notice "Please start this recovery disk using BIOS legancy mode. I even then choose option 1, same message.

If I change the settings of the bios to legancy I can't load the disc then get this message 'WARNING fail' telling me I need UEFI mode.

    So, uh, Yes, ideas?

system partition MBR table on EFI System... windows 8 TPG... Well hit me further in the head. Fixed, in reading your link. Thank you. Once I formatted the HARD drive by using windows disc 8, restoring the system started working. I had formatted HDD previously with windows 7 disc. I know...

    Hello

Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator is a tool of Toshiba that created the recovery disk available on HARD drive recovery image.
It s NOT support tool like Ghost, etc. that allows you to create an image of your operating system preinstalled.
If the Toshiba Recovery files are not available on the HARD drive then the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator will not work!

    Welcome them

  • Creating recovery discs - "unable to open the following file" error "

    Hello all,.

    I'm trying to create a set of recovery disc for a customer * Satellite L300 - PSLB8A-07U004 *.

While the application opens and begins the creation of the disk set, there, three times now, failed to with the error message of * 'cannot open the following file. D:\ ! "V5_01_07.VRP (error Code: 020123-F1-00000000). *

I tried the first time in this process while all customer data were always loaded.
I have now done a "restoration"out of box experience"because I thought that one of these files may be the cause, but, alas, the mistake was repeated."
Of course, it's irritating (to say the least).

I did NOT any changes to the layout or resizing of partitions. »

    Any thoughts?

    rampant_rhino

Stand by. If I understand you well you CAN restore the operating system using F8, but you CAN create DVDs using "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator' of recovery.

    Am I right about that?

  • Re: Satellite L300-1BV - create your recovery disc ISO images

    I wondered about this.
Could make my recovery disc ISO images, I know I could just make a few extra copies, but I am learning to create ISO images.
But I was a little worried about what would happen when I put a disc in the drive...

This along with the recovery image is a bit complicated, and something like this is not possible.
All you can do is create recovery DVDs using Toshiba recovery disc creator or directly start the HARD drive recovery using recovery Toshiba (F8) option.

You can do with it what you want but how you want to start the installation later?
Sorry, but I think that it will not work.

  • The value of creating a section of boot on a new SSD drive, an HP recovery disc?

I got a Kingston SSD 120 GB for Cristmas. Happy me! I have problems because the instalation of all recovery discs fails by copying the files from the recovery partition. Then starts the copy function, but stop at 12% and then nothing happens. If I try to reboot the computer tells me the man is no boot disk. Is there anyone who has had the same experience? What can I do? I just bought a full set of HP recovery disks.

Unfortunately, he says does not work. I got a message that there was an orror with the disc, and a recovery was not possible. I reduced the size of the recovery so that my new drive was big enough, but it won't work.

I bought a HP recovery media something like $ 50, espesialy designed for my installation. He din will not work either.

I downloaded Windows 7 Home premium software of windows, installed forum Web site a TI went well spent, except my password that I have only an OEM license. Software OEM can only be downloaded, isen can't this sad!

Now I suppose that I wil have to buy a new win 7, with lots of media, to get because I guess I give up with HP and missing support. I will newer buy a HP computer again it comes in terms of dealing with HP, even computers normally work well. I think that I bought about 5 HP PC so far.

At least, I hope I get a refund on the useless software that I have purchased from HP.
