DVD Maker does not recognize my DVD burner
Not from files from digital camera with Windows Movie Maker, sent the draft to burn movie DVD Maker tells me "no DVD burner installed"...
Dell PC, 2 GB of ram, only six months, Vista OS, no other software has problems with the DVD burner...
Any ideas? Any help much appreciated...
Hello Bladerunner.au,
You could try the following:
Fill any DVD burning software. These programs may be trying to use the player, which prevents access to the Windows disk. Programs to look at include:
- Roxio product family
- Power DVD
- WinDVD
- Direct Media
- Windows Media Player
- Nero Burning ROM
Update the firmware on the optical drive and the BIOS of the computer. In some cases, the firmware of the drive may be damaged or the BIOS can 'lose' the reader. Visit the Dell drivers and downloads site Web and enter your Service tag to get the updates specific to your computer.
Since you have a new Dell computer, you can go to the Dell site for the support of this new computer.
www.support.Dell.com
I hope this helps.
Thank you

Movie Maker has been designed to download from mini-DV cameras
connected with FireWire... (they record at small cassettes... not
flash drives)The best would be to download the video files in a folder on your
hard drive... convert the WMV movie format and then import
in Movie Maker. If you connect the camera via a cable USB and go to... My computer...
It should be recognized as a drive. If it's... you can download it from

After you have installed Windows 10, I can no longer create a PDF of my program Pagemaker 7.0.1. Purchased Acrobat DC, but still no joy. Apparently, Acrobat PDF maker does not recognize the .pmd extension. I get errors and various suggestions, but nothing works. WHAT?
Print to Adobe PDF? Why the * & ^ * & ^ V_ $ didn't pay a lot more money to Adobe for an Adobe program that does not work with another Adobe program? Oh, right--they want to move me up (buy) the new Adobe graphics programs. I'll keep sweating this point and will no doubt wind up forking over a thousand$ $$ or so for 'new' stuff I don't need.

External CD drive does not recognize the CD burned on El Capitan.
Using El Capitan 10.11.5 and an external hard drive, I have burned successfully mp3 files iTunes CD - I can play on the computer itself - but an external CD drive does not recognize, even if the Player recognizes the discs once engraved on Snow Leopard and previous models. What's wrong? I burn "at the fastest possible speed," as I have always done.
What CD format? If you burn it to a CD mp3 this is not very common for a standard CD player to be able to read those. You may have burnt the other CD audio CD format.

Windows DVD maker does not recognize not my DVD burner.
After I create a project and start to move forward through burning. I can't select a DVD burner from the drop tab on the first screen. If I try to burn just said that I did not choose a burner and when I come back I am still unable to choose as it still doesn't apear in the dropdown tab menu. How can I get this progam to recognize my DVD burner?
I already checked and updated my driver for the reader. I also burned some data (music) on a DVD and was able to play it through media player.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I bought a new XR155E Sony to replace my old Sony handycam. I used to connect Via firewire no problem. My new Cam lacks a firewire connection and has only an HDTV connection and USB connection. I connect the new handycam Sony XR155E HD via USB.

SONY software is useless when it comes to editing and cutting of elements. Also, I can CVCTVLY copy DVD Dick in Standard mode and not HD.
Is ther a cable that will allow me to connect my FireWire to the computer in the small USB connection on the camera? Can I get a cable adopter? Help, please. Is there any good software that will pick up my camera Via USB and allow me to edit the video and sound?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Studio 1537 Roxio does not recognize DVD burner
I have a Studio 2008 1537 with an 8 x Slot Load CD/DVD burner (dual layer DVD + /-in car and it was replaced under warranty about 2 years ago, but now Roxio does not recognize as a reader.) I want to make copies of some videos, but I can't do it. I think I need to update the driver, but I do not know what actual brand or DVD burner model number I. How will I know?
Roxio will be available for download on my Dell downloads. So go ahead and register, then download the installer and save it.
You might want to try the upper and lower filter thing (link below). This can solve the problem of Roxio, but not iTunes issue.
