DVD of Civ V unrecognized

Hello
I have a copy of Civ V on DVD
The disc is not recognized and therefore will not, install even if other discs work very well and have been doing for some time.
This DVD has done work on another PC but not on my laptop.

Please you have ideas of what I can do?

Thank you

To create an ISO (disk image) file, use ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com) to 'create the disc image file '. This file can be used by a program of virtual drive (like Virtual CloneDrive, download for example, CNET, http://download.cnet.com/Virtual-CloneDrive/3000-20432_4-173879.html) and behaves like a real disc in a real drive, avoiding possible reading errors.

  • IDE error - unrecognized DVD player - Satellite 2410-504 #1

Hello, recently I got a rug * a dvd - ram UJ - 831 s Reader installed to replace by my insurance policy in my Toshiba Satellite s2410-504. The car worked well until recently, when I get the IDE #1 error at startup, then the drive does not appear in Windows - Win Explorer or Device Manager. I tried to update the firmware for the recommended: DVD + r / + RW/RAM Drive(UJ-831) F / W revision: V102. But I got the message that the drive is not connected when I am asked to open it. I want to emphasize that I tried this update when the drive is actually (sometimes is just appear randomly, sometimes it appears after the release of the standby mode)

I also tried 4 or 5 times the resettlement of the drive with no luck. How can I fix my drive? I have read on the bypass and master/slave problems but not too sure about this or if it's the right thing to do.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    David

Hmm, it would be very interesting to know if this message appears.
For me, this looks like an auto damage with a bad firmware.

    > I get the message that the drive is not connected when I am asked to open it
For most of these messages are displayed if the drive is not connected OR the firmware was bad. I think that it s because of the second possibility.

Maybe the firmware has changed the master/slave/c-salt settings and now the BIOS does not recognize the disc correctly.

  • DVD drive internal unrecognized in Wake UP

Inspiron 17R (beginning 2013) during sleep, the internal DVD drive is not recognized in starting up. Once I hard reboot the laptop, it is recognized. It is configured with the DVD +/-RW 8 X 9.5, Serial ATA, TRAY, drive TOSHIBA SAMSUNG STORAGE TECHNOLOGY. When I try to run the diagnostic online player is not detected, it seems that it has been ignored in the bios. I've recently updated the bios to the most recent recommended. Any ideas what is happening here?

There is no special configuration required to install an SSD more later. Just get the configuration of the disks you want to use with the SSD. Of course, with the installed SSD, a cache mSATA provides no benefit, then I wouldn't choose this option.

  • I believe the term is virtual drives? Devices with built in unrecognized software. Also. my cd/dvd writer wants to format blank dics that I was told that it is useless.

My laptop battery is dead and that windows does not stop correctly. I accidentally it started under normal conditions instead of safe mode. I don't know if this was my problem. I rebooted several times: safe mode and normal mode.  I tried recently a new portable external drive, a new recording device and storage of cruzer device, air conditioned and equipped with usb connections, all are not recognized and windows will ask a disc instead.

    Hi please pass the sauce.

    Thank you for your message.

"all are not recognized and windows will ask a disc instead.

I suggest putting the disc in.

  • Maybe missing DVD driver

Hello! I have had my all-in-one Pavilion for almost a year now and discovered pretty quickly that it does not play the DVD or Blu - ray discs, despite saying that he should. I am able to play the music of dics with no problems, however. I don't think it's a big deal then, but now it's starting to upset me and I'd like to find a solution before the expiry of my big computers.

A quick search on google shows me this a fairly common problem, but none of the corrections suggested do anthing for me.

When I insert a DVD, it runs constantly and it seems he stops every 15 seconds before resuming. The disks never appear in my computer as a playable file and trying to force a media player to play the results by mistake. What I get behaves like a folder. I show a folder named VIDEO_TS full of unrecognized file types and a file named desktop.ini

I don't know what to do, this is the reading of the disc but used to play movies. Missing something?

If it's showing a VIDEO_TS, so it is read, at least partially, a DVD.  It could be the playback software is missing or damaged, or the disc is dirty or has failed.  To try the VLC Player for free.  If you really want to check the drive to be able to read a DVD, try Imgburn.  If you can get some info of the DVD with either people, report with the results.

  • DVD drive does not burn/erase RS - Satellite P100-347

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite p100-347 PSPA6E laptop computer. It has a DVD burner with model number: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GMA-4082N (firmware pt06). It has capabilities to burn any DVD (please see example using dvdino: http://tinyurl.com/2hbpqv).

However, I can't rewrite on my Maxell dvd + rw (1.4 x speed) dvd. whenever I go to a software application to erase a dvd that I wrote on, it says unrecognized format. For example, Nero says "this disc is not rewritable and therefore can not be deleted. Please insert a rewritable disc.

The disc is rewritable because it says on the cover and also it burns on my friends rewritable dvd burner :(

    Hello

As you probably know, readers don t support all kinds of media.
I mean not every CD - R, DVD - RW, CD + RW, DVD + RW, and so on, average is supported.
I can confirm these issues in my practical knowledge I tested for several months and many media, I use the TDK on my laptop and only CD or DVD media.
They work best with my drive...

But I'll give you a tip:
You should remove other software burning like sonic, etc if you use Nero. The joint software sometimes makes trouble.

  • Windows Media Player extension unrecognized .vro

If I try to play a DVD made House on my Windows Media Player 11, I get an error message that indicates: "unrecognized extension .vro.

    How can I fix this?

VRO files come from certain types of dvd recorders.
The system of MST files on a dvd is VOB.
To get WMP to play, you could try importing the vro on the hard drive and then renamed to .mpg.
Unlikely to work, but the power.

Or, you can convert in the std .vob .vro files by using one of the many free conversion tools. Again, you would need torus tos these files on your hard drive.

You have any other dvd playing software installed, that things like powerdvd, windvd should also read the files, otherwise I would use a player like VLC of VideoLan player, install once and should play one of your discs .vro.
