    Hello

In addition to the fact that you can boot from the Toshiba Recovery CD, I think that it s a problem of training material
I think it's a matter of calibration of lens readers possibly the lens can not calibrate correctly in the right position of s, and this is why the drive can't handle the inserted media.

This could be the worst case, because this fault is repairable by replacing the drive.

  • Equium A200-1V0: DVD-RAM UJ-850 s does not read data discs

My laptop seems to have decided to stop reading data disks.
However, there is no problem with the audio CD, but when I insert a data disc such as the software considers the disk is empty and try to format the drive.
I searched internet day for solutions and tried without success to the following:

Removed the UpperFilters and LowerFilters in the registry.
    Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers.
    Bought DriverWhiz (waste of money!)
Tried to access disc command prompt that generated the message "incorrect function".
Tried to use the enforcement function and access an exe file that I know is on the disk, but it comes up saying I need to format the drive
    Uninstall service packs
I even thought it might be something to do with the MagicVirtual drive I had installed so I uninstalled completely which
    I uninstalled real player

I'm about 3 minutes to destroy my laptop so any help would be appreciated.

    Laptop: Equium A200 - 1V0

    OS: Windows Vista

    Hello

Deleting upper and lower filters was the first idea that I'd like to share with you, but it seems that you have already tried this solution proposal

How about windows boot CD or a linux live CD?
    Is this possible?

If not then I thing that the question could be linked to the wrong material work I m thinking on the issue of laser lenses eventually the laser lens can not calibrate properly and this could be a problem

In this case, only a replacement CD/DVD drive can help greet

  • Carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-820 s do not read or burn discs

Hi, I'm Natalie and I need help with my problem that occurs.

    Operating system:
    Windows XP Home Edition
    Laptop Toshiba Satellite
    Model A75-S229
Multi recorder drive: CD and DVD

The problem that happens is that I can not get any CD or DVD to work when I put them. What is happening is he's trying to load but makes the window "Not responding", unless I have the disc, then everything will be fine. What is also involved, is that I can't burn discs at all, at any speed.

Also, I would add, when I go to my computer > right click on the DVD - RAM drive > properties and under the general tab it states:

    Type: CD player
    file system: unknown

    I don't know if that's the problem...

    Can someone help me?

    HI Isabelle.

Please check in the Device Manager to see if there is a problem with your optical drive. Normally this will be displayed as an exclamation point against the device.

The fact that the file system is listed as "unknown" is because the drive could not read the format of the disc so that Windors Explorer cannot identify any file structure.

Your problem could be something very simple like a lens dirty or a faulty device driver. It is not easy to tell from your description exactly what can be wrong, but I would say you try some of the easy options so try first to clean the lens, and if this does not resolve your problem, then try to remove the drive (Device Manager) and reboot for the device will be installed new.

If all else fails, you will have checked player be an authorized Service partner.

  • Carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-850 s does not read blank media - need new firmware

Hey I have a laptop Equium only around the age of 4 months.
Had nothing but problems with the CARPET * A DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA Device drive.
I need to know where I can get the update of the firmware.

Firmware for it, that she will not read blank media.

I agree with master... I don't know what kind of problems you have, but if the player doesn't work properly, it must be replaced. The warranty is certainly valid and the nearest authorized can help you with it.

Maybe you made a mistake. Take your laptop to the nearest service and show them what you mean exactly. Here, we can only speculate what may be your problem.

  • Carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-820 s will not read the cd rom cd-rom dvd

OK, I read the other posts on these discs. Mine will play DVD movies and play them. It will not read the dvd ROM CD CD-ROM etc.
This cannot be a hardware problem, it must be the software should not it?
    Can anyone help?
Does anyone have information on how to remove these disks of the computer? Im sure I can install a new one myself if I really need to.
Unfortunately the computer is just out of warranty

    Hi Robert,.

Unfortunately, your problem sounds like a problem with the hardware with the optical drive. The player itself must be able to refocus its lenses to switch between DVD and CD formats, and also to pass the pressed DVD and DVD burned.

I suggest you tyre remove the device from the Device Manager Control Panel, then restart your laptop so that the optical drive will be recognized as a new component hardware and Windows will then be re - install with standard drivers etc. If this does not work then it looks like a new drive will be necessary.

Unfortunately you say not what model of laptop you have (the removal procedure is not the same in all cases), but in general if the car is equipped with in-house it is held in place with one or two screws accessible from the bottom of the laptop that should be removed first, then the optical drive can be slid out of its location.

    Kind regards

  • Tecra M1 will not read any type of SD card

    Help!
According to the title, my M1 will not read any type of SD card. I'm running the SP2 of XP reloaded from original floppies, and it is fully up-to-date with Windows Update.
The little green light adjacent to the slot flashes briefly on the insertion of a card, but nothing happening for example no open option window and nothing visible in my computer.

I downloaded the latest drivers and installed according to the directives of the readme.txt file and even thought to copy the SDDEVMGR.dll in the System32 folder.
I obviously lack something, so any help or pointers are welcome.

    Thank you very much. Craig

    Hello

Usually, books are not all sizes of SD card and so you should be sure that the used SD card is supported and compatible with the Tecra M1 card reader.

But if you are using a compatible SD card the laptop should be able to read/write on the SD card.
I try to remove the SD card in the Device Manager controller and remove the driver software malfunction. Restart the computer and install the latest drivers again.

PS: A registry cleaning would be desirable. CCleaner is a great registry cleaning applications

    Hello

I agree with you Krob. I put t I think that this problem occurs due to DVD player or any other software or applications.

  • Tecra 9100 will not read burn them

    Hello.

I have a Tecra T9100 and CARPET * DVDROM has now won ' t * burned to CD playback.
He has no problem reading manufacturing CD / DVD.

I noticed this after upgrading the BIOS by version 1.6.

Is there anything else I need to do / configure / install?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Maybe you need to check the different CDs from different manufacturers and should change the slower burning at that speed.

If this will not help then a CD/DVD drive problem could be the reason why don't not all disks are readable.

  • My cd/dvd rom drive is not read anything and not even recognize a disc. Also video applets which would typically run online is no longer running. What I'm doing!

Computer says no disc inserted in the drive.

    Hello

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

  • Tecra M9 - will not power on and flashing LED

Can someone tell me where I can find a list of what means the various sequences of flashing of LED on a Tecra M9?

I have one that will not be running at all and the power light flashes a particular model of amber.

    Hello

I think that such a list of error codes for the LEDs are not available. I've never seen such lists on the Toshiba site, I guess they are no longer available to the authorized service provider.

But you can try this: remove the battery and the AC adapter at least an hour. Then connect the two devices again and try to start the laptop.

  • Error code: C00D0FD6 and can not read music and games.

    Original title: music & games

    Hello Jeremy,.

I posted this message because I have two problems, one of which is on WMP, I wanted to play a game and listen to the music, but I found that the drive was not working as usual so I left, go for him again once I found that he remained the same when I got to the dialog box that there is a problem check what he was He said I have met and the error message that is C00D0FD6, if you ask me to go toTools and click onPlugins I was Tools but could not find Plugins is an alternative to the difficulty of WMP, don't know if that makes a difference, but it's version is 11.

Come to the 2nd problem, he is playing the music files, I looked for a particular mp3 file which comes one numbered (e.g. 07?.) WMA) WMA, convert MP3, it still does not play, would it be because it's a numbered file?

    Thank you

    Sincerely,

    Frampton rocks

    y at - it freeware, DRM to MP3 Converter I download/install?

No, if a file is protected by DRM, so it is impossible to remove this protection (otherwise, the protection would be quite useless).

Now on the extraction of CD, I had snatched a because its tone was a little too low, so I had to adjusted WMP eq, after burning the files that I went to read the drive CD, but to my surprise it not played - No Disc, try on MP, he did play - what's the big idea? !!

WMP is probably set to burn data CDs containing MP3s, instead of CD audio real. Most CD players can only play the button burn to audio CDs. click right WMP above, make sure the Audio CD is checked and burn the CD again.

Also, note that the settings of the equalizer in WMP have only effect during playback of songs. They do not change the audio data, so you won't hear any difference when you save the files again.
