  You have disk problem as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (burn CD & DVD and CD and DVD read).

  Hello Citimba,

  On the main screen on the printer, press return, cancel, back, back button successively. You see Help menu, press the ok button, then use top / down arrow button to find the menu reset, reset complete semi selection and press the ok button.

  It's troubleshooting last step which I recommend. If this does not solve your problem unfortunately you will need to replace the printer.

  I would like to help you today to address the issue of copies in white that you encounter during the copy of your HP Officejet 5610v all-in-One Printer. To be honest, this problem looks more because of printing system, rather than a failure of the copy. The reason is because the copy uses the same exact material like scanning components. Because you are able to scan without problem on your computer Windows 8.1, we know that copy/scanning mechanism works within your printer. However, when you print from your computer, if the document is sent to your printer as a file of type 'image' the ink color is used to 'do' or 'enrich' the black ink. Therefore, your machine may be appearing in print in fine black ink of your computer, when in reality, it's just the color ink making the black color. When you copy from your printer, if you decide to make a copy of only black ink black will be used. If you choose to make a color copy will only color ink. To check if the cartridges and the print in your printer system working properly, I'll make you start troubleshooting by a quality diagnostic report print to your printer.   1. Make sure the product is on and not used, plain white paper loaded.

  you text is on a layer and the layer beneath the layer of that your gradient is enabled;

  or your textwrap on a gradient box.

  The last time I tried to use my CD player, it worked very well. I recently got a game perfect state (checked on other computers, so it's good), and I can't install it because of the CD player.

  Already, it is detected by the BIOS and in Device Manager it's all updated with all its drivers and no yellow triangles.

  I checked on our lab and the generic drivers are listed below for window 8 to add to see if this will allow you to print.

  Go to the start screen, the type (menu tiles) in "Devices and printers", select settings, click devices and printers.
  Click on add a printer in the upper part.

  Select "the printer that I want isn't listed."
  Click on 'add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.

  Click Next.
  Select "use an existing port," select "USB" in the menu drop-down.
  Click Next.
  Select "HP" in the column on the left and on the right, select 'Officejet Pro PCL3 class pilot.'

  You can also try the "HP Photosmart PCL3 class driver" or "HP Deskjet PCL3 class pilot."

• Why is my hard drive (external) working on a Windows PC, but not on my Mac?

  I recently got a few files transferred to a friends computer to my external hard drive and when I plugged back on my Mac it wasn't appearig in the finder or disk utility. The power led on the hard drive lit. When I plugged it in my friends mac hard drive was there, but when you clicked on the folders they were all empty. We then plugged on a Windows computer, and it worked fine! What keeps it from working on Mac?

  The hard drive has been formatted in Mac (Mac OS Extended journaled) format.

  He worked on your Mac before that?

  Were the files that you copied from another Mac or Windows computer?

  You say you plugged into a computer in the window and it worked fine.

  A Windows computer will not read an external hard drive that is formatted as OS extended (journaled).

  So maybe it is formatted in NTFS in Windows.

  Welcome to the HP Forums! I'd love to help you to scan from your 5530 craving for your Mac. I understand from your description that it worked well when you have 10.10, but since the upgrade to 10.11 you can print but not scan.

  CD/DVD players use different lasers for reading/writing DVD from the CD.  All indications would point to your laser DVD as having failed.  You could try to remove your drive and install it in another computer to see if the problem follows your player or your computer, but my bet is that the drive must be replaced.
